More places under hazy siege

More places under hazy siege

PETALING JAYA: It is confirmed – our air is hazardous and in more places than earlier thought.

The people wanted the Air Pollution Index (API) released and the Government did so on the order from the Cabinet.

The figures showed that at noon, places like Port Klang, Shah Alam and Kuala Selangor were hazardous at a level of over 301 on the API while Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Gombak, Putrajaya and Seremban were very unhealthy at between 200 and 300.

By evening the levels rose even higher with the air quality in Petaling Jaya and Putrajaya also reaching hazardous levels as the API passed the 301 mark.

Many activities came to a halt because of the deteriorating air quality caused by the fires in Sumatra, where there were 542 hotspots as of yesterday.

Schools in Kuala Selangor and the Klang district in Selangor have been ordered to suspend classes for the next two days.

Following suit was a directive to close all 200 schools in Kuala Lumpur for the week.

Hazy weather.

It’s been a hazy day today. Can really smell the smoke and acrid smell. Hope it will not last long. Too many fire hotspots in Sumatera, Indonesia.

The Indonesian government are requesting help to put out the fires. Pray that many nations will send their people to help out.

Need to cry out to God to send rain, heavy rain that will put out the hotspots.

Searching

I feel empty inside.

Dryness of the spirit. It's biting me a bit by bit... not a big bite that will cause me to go crazy, but small nibbles that cause me to ask "why? what?".

Senseless.... going without direction. Yeah... there's direction indeed.... but is that the direction that I should be going? No motivation... no energy, no zeal to go where I'm going. This emptiness is slowing me down. Should I stop? Should I ..... do what?

Meaningless, meaningless.... all is meaningless. As the Teacher has said it, so these words resound in my mind. If that is so, why live? Why waste our energy to do things that would be meaningless? Surely there must be something to life. No, I should not adopt this mindless, unfruitful thinking.

As I'm created by Him, surely there's meaning to my life. Surely life is not meaningless when Wisdom who is Love created me. Why should Love created something without meaning.... at the least it should be something that Love himself will love.

Then this words came to mind, "If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit...". I must be united with Christ, that by being so, I will have encouragement, and comfort. I must have fellowship with the Spirit, in order that I might know Christ better.

Yes.... that's the answer to my search. By being united with Christ! Then there will be the encouragement to move on in life. Then life itself is full of purpose. When I'm down, there will be comfort from Him. Alas, the answer has been found ... CHRIST JESUS!.

Forgive me Father for forsaking your son. Just like the prodigal son, accept me like the Loving Father.

Is there someone who can walk along me through this journey?........

Well rested.

Today.... woke up at 10.50am.... then chit chat with Mom. Lunch. Michelle brought Annabelle at 1.30pm. Played with her until 3.30pm... then took a nap while she accompanied Mom mopping the floor. Woke up at 5pm. Annabelle already went to sleep. She woke up at 5.35pm when she heard her mummy came back.

Didn't realised that I was so tired. Maybe becoz yesterday was a busy day. Travelling to Muar to meet Amuse, then back to Ujong Pasir to meet Tony. Then football in the evening and the massage session at night. Wow.

Hope that now, I'm well rested to start anew this week.

bank account

me: Would it be possible to transfer the church account from Melaka Raya to Malim Jaya. I don't have to go all the way to Melaka Raya every time.
boss: yeah... we have thought of it.. but what happened when you leave the church... it is nearer for us.
me: yeah... but still it is nearer to go to the bank (Malim Jaya Public Bank) in case of emergency.
boss: ...... (smile) ..... (said nothing)

well... my first thought..... what lah... can think like that one... so selfish one.... I might be here in the church for another year or more, and I have to travel all the way to Melaka Raya every week until I leave the church. Also... not that the account cannot be transfered back to Melaka Raya Public Bank. Just because you think that I'm going to leave the church (sooner or later), you rather let the bank account be in Melaka Raya where it will be an additional 20 minutes drive. Not to be calculative but think of the amount of saving of i) time, ii) petrol, iii) vehicle maintenance, and iv) energy. What does it take to having this wonderful saving.... just a group decision and a letter authorizing the bank to transfer the account. Just that.... but no... you might be leaving so better not do the transfer.

All this stuffs makes me want to leave the church faster. Not a good thought but if that is how the boss sees things.... then the probabilities of it happening is much higher. Be careful what we wish for.

Right now.... just asking God what He wants me to do. Find that there's no umphh in personal life or even in the church. Need a revival.... really need a revival.

revival fire fall"

Ceramah Motivasi

went to give a ceramah at SMK Durian Tunggal. went with Daniel Ee. he helped me with the powerpoint. really appreciate his effort. reached there at 10 to 11, looked for Puan Sung. it is through her that I was able to come and share with the students. she brought us to the canteen for lunch. then met Mr Tan who took our biodata.

the ceramah is at one of the school's smart classroom, more like a lecture hall. about 34 of them came.... all indians... Form 3 and 5.

had a good time sharing with them about how to achieve succes in life... they were very responsive and attentive listener. enjoyed the record breaking activity. do hope that they've learned something from the talk. not enough time to cover all the material that I've prepared. 2 and a half hour and yet still not enough time..... wow..... I myself can't believe it.

newey... really enjoyed sharing with them.... may God bless them in their coming exams.

I just don't think it's fair!

me: Why is mommy look so sad?
she: I just don't think it's fair!

and then she sulked the whole night.

reason becoz... she couldn't go to JJ to repair her broken spec.

she is still using the old one... no problem with the old ones.

she wants the new ones becoz she said that it makes her look better.

hmmmm..... yalo... it does make her look better....

Great software!!!!

Found this great software from Download.Com.

It's called World Wind. You can look at any places on earth through NASA satellite images.

Here is an image of my hometown Bukit Rambai, with the surrounding area. The beach is Klebang beach, with Tanjong Kling area. With the program, I can zoom in to my hometown, although the image may not be so clear.

Now I don't have to buy any more maps, but can just see the real area with this program.

Now where is this Nagaland where my ISLT roommate lives? Who knows I might even see his face with this program. hehehe

Who is more dangerous... a guy or a girl.

"I have heard that a man can undress a woman in his mind in less than 10 seconds. Well a woman can be emotionally married in her mind in less than 10 seconds. Both men and women need to strive toward purity in all that they do and say toward each other." Emotional Purity at page 120.
Wow... I think the woman is more dangerous.
In less than 10 seconds... the poor guy is married to her alredi. The poor guy pulak is still struggling to strip her and before he realised it, he alreadi got trapped in marriage.... hehehehee.
Man.... must remember to wear my wedding ring...
if not I will be emotionally married to many girls...
but then again...
with my current look, there won't be any girls wanting to marry me in their right mind...lol.

Naughty daughter

hehehehe this is funny.

hope my daughters won't be this naughty when they grow up.
I think this girl has no brothers in the family lah.
Just 7 years old.... sudah miang (itchy) alredi kah.

.... or maybe I should change my bed to the one without legs.
curiousity......knows no bounds

Strong hands.

Came across this posting... Unbelieveable.. hehahahahaha
wonder what position until can be like that.
oh... maybe she is trying to look and see.
maybe the girls can give us guys some enlightenment on how on earth this could happen.

Now... why is there pain on my neck now....

I want a hug!

It's such a wonderful feeling to have a hug from Annabelle... (of course from her mother also lah... but this posting is about Annabelle).

In the past week, Annabelle has been giving me hugs. Everytime I reached Michelle mother's house, I would ask Annabelle, "Daddy wants a hug." and hold out my hand to her. She would look at me and then smile. Then she would open wide her arms, welcoming me to hug her. I would carry her and give her a hug and then kiss her cheek. Such a wonderful experience.

Now that she knows the routine, she would sometimes make the first move of opening up her arms for me to carry and hug her. She would even say it out to me, "Daddy, daddy,... hug Belle Belle." Such joy.. Thank you Lord.

Chronicle of Riddick

Watch the show last night on the computer. Interesting with superb graphic cinemation. Van Diesel acting is wonderful for this movie. like the show though there are some New Age influence in it. The sad thing is that Jesus's name is still being used as a curse.

Wonder what's the next episode will be like.

Christ is coming soon!

I received this email regarding the end times. My opinion with regards to this author's testimony is that it should help us to be ready for Christ. We should commit ourselves to fully serve God and have a close relationship with Him.

This email is not Scripture and should not be treated as having the same authority as Scripture. However, it should help us to draw closer to God. This is the email:

Shalom,

This message was transcribed by Ruthanne Garlock from a tape we received in Singapore on August 30th, 1998 from Wee Tiong How. He had just returned from the Isle of Patmos where he attended a prayer retreat with a small group of Singaporeans, and where Samuel Doctorian related this experience to them.

I was here alone in a house on the Isle of Patmos for several weeks to pray and seek the Lord. I found a little chapel - St. Nicolas's Chapel - where no one ever goes. I went there and poured out my heart before God. I found a rock on the side of a hill where I would go to sit and pray - meditation and reading the Bible. I ate very little during those days. Several times I went to the cave of John where he saw the great Revelation.

While meditating for one month in this solitary place, I thought, "I wonder if the Lord will ever send a tenth angel?" I'd seen angels nine times before - in England, in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, in Amman, Jordan, in Jerusalem, and angel that delivered a woman from being hanged in upper Egypt; I saw the ninth angel in Beirut in the midst of war. The angel physically awakened me at 3:00 in the morning and told me to get out of the country immediately. I am grateful to the Lord until today - I don't know what might have happened to me if the angel had not come. Heaven will tell that one-day. So I wondered whether I would see an angel for the tenth time. There were times when I was praying when I felt such presence I asked, "Lord, I wonder if an angel is coming now? " But it was not so. One night I even dreamt about an angel. He told me to fly in my dream and I did - but that was only a dream. I wanted to see a real angel, as I had seen nine times before.

On June 20 at 3:50am, here in Patmos suddenly my room was full of light, and there are no lights around here. It is a house all by itself at the end of the road near a monastery. Lo and behold, when I was wide-awake - I saw five beautiful angels. I saw their faces -perfect and human-like, but full of light. I saw their eyes, their hair, their hands.

On my right side were two angels, and when I looked to the left I saw three other angels with wings. They had beautiful white robes falling to the floor - something I can't describe with human words. I wondered why five angels had come, but I was trembling and shaking. I wanted to cry, but I could not. Just before I saw these angels in the Spirit. I had seen myself in a great meeting of multitudes, and I was preaching in English. An interpreter was on my left with dark hair and a grey suit, but I can't remember what language he was speaking. I was prophesying this message: "My church, you preach love, you teach love, but you need to practice love - to show love. There is need of unity in my body. There are many divisions among you. My spirit will not move and work where there is no unity. There is carnality in my church; too much uncleanness in my church. I desire and I want a holy people. I died to made you holy." While I was prophesying in the spirit I was trembling. My eyes opened and I was looking at the great multitude. And suddenly, in the midst of the prophecy, these mighty angels appeared. I went back from the pulpit and thought I was going to fall down. I am now wide-awake, but this is all happening in the spirit. Some power helped me not to fall down and I wondered what was happening.

Then suddenly the first angel on my right side said," We are five angels from the five continents. We are here to give you messages from the five continents of the world." The moment I heard that, I also heard the multitude crying out, "Ohhh, Ohhh, Ohhh;" I believe that multitude saw the angels also. Somehow the Lord showed me that in the days to come, in many parts of the world, God is going to reveal Himself through ministering angels. It's going to happen publicly; it's going to happen in churches - thousands of people seeing angels at the same time. They will be ministering to the Body in these last days. Then came this message from the angels:" What you see and hear, tell it to the nations." So it's not something to keep to myself. Whether they accept it or don't accept it, I have to tell it to the nations.

FIRST ANGEL:

The first angel said:" I have a message for all of Asia." When he said that, in a spilt few seconds, I could see all of China, India, the Asian countries like Vietnam, Laos - I've never been to those countries. I saw the Philippines, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. And then the angel showed me all of Papua New Guinea, Irian Jaya and down to Australia and New Zealand.
"I am the angel of Asia," he said. And in his hand I saw a tremendous trumpet that he is going to blow all over Asia. Whatever the angel said, it's going to happen with the trumpet of the Lord all over Asia. Millions are going to hear the mighty voice of the Lord. Then the angel said, "There shall be disaster, starvation - many will die from hunger. Strong winds will be looked like has never happened before. A great part shall be shaken and destroyed. Earthquakes will take place all over Asia and the sea will cover the earth.

I saw this on June 20. Today is August 16. A few weeks ago I heard the news of villages completely wiped out and washed into the sea in Papua New Guinea. Thousand of lives in great jeopardy. That happened a few weeks ago, and the angel told me it is going to happen all over Asia. "The earth will fall into the sea," I heard the angel say," part of Australia will be shaken. Australia will be divided, and a great part will go under the ocean. "This was frightening - I wondered whether I was hearing right. But the angel said," Millions will die in China and in India. Nation will be against nation, brother against brother. Asians will fight each other. Nuclear weapons shall be used, killing millions." Twice I heard the words, " Catastrophic! Catastrophic!" then the angel said, "Financial crisis will come to Asia. I will shake the world."

I was trembling while the angel was speaking. Then he looked at me and smiled and said," There shall be the greatest spiritual awakening - bondage will be broken. Barriers will be removed. And all over Asia - China - India - people will turn to Christ. In Australia there shall be tremendous revival." I heard the angel of Asia say, " It is the last harvest." Then as if the Lord were speaking, he said," I shall prepare My church for the return of Christ." I was happy with such good news after the message of judgment. All the time the five angels were in my room I could feel their presence - it was tremendous.

SECOND ANGEL:

Then I saw that the second angel had a sickle in his hand, such as is used in harvesting. The second angel said," Harvest time has come in Israel and the countries all the way to Iran." I saw those countries in a few split seconds. "All of Turkey and those [inaudible;] countries that have refused me and refused my message of love shall hate each other and kill one another." I saw the angel raise the sickle and come down on all the Middle East countries.

I saw Iran, Persia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, all of Georgia - Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, all of Asia Minor - full of blood. I saw blood all over these countries. And I saw fire; Nuclear weapons used in many of those countries. Smoke rising from everywhere. Sudden destruction - men destroying one another.

I heard these words, " Israel, Oh Israel, the great judgment has come." The angel said, "The chosen, the church, the remnant, shall be purified. The Spirit of God shall prepare the children of God." I saw fires rising to heaven. The angel said," This is the final judgment. My church shall be purified, protected and ready for the final day. Men will die from thirst. Water shall be scarce all over the Middle East. Rivers shall dry up, and men will fight for water in those countries." The angel showed me that the United Nations shall be broken in pieces because of the crisis in the Middle East. There shall be no more United Nations. The angel with the sickle shall reap the harvest.

THIRD ANGEL:

Then one of the angels with wings showed me Europe from one end to the other - from the north all the way down to Spain and Portugal. In his hand he had a scale of measurement. I saw him fly over Europe, and I heard the words, " I am grieved. I am grieved. Unrighteousness, uncleanness, ungodliness - all over Europe. The sin has risen to heaven. The Holy Spirit is grieved." I saw the rivers of Europe flooding and covering millions of houses. Millions drown. After seeing this, I read the news a few weeks ago. Czechoslovakia had the worst flooding ever. I also heard that the big river in China is in tremendous danger of thousands of houses being destroyed in flooding. I didn't know all this news until after I had seen the vision and heard what the angels told me.

Suddenly I heard earthquakes all over Europe. " Countries that have had no earthquakes shall be shaken," said the angel. And suddenly, in my spirit, I saw the Eiffel Tower in Paris crumbling falling down. A great part of Germany destroyed. The great city of London - destruction everywhere. I saw floods all over Scandinavia. I looked to the south and saw Spain and Portugal passing through hunger and great destruction.

Many will die from hunger all over Spain and Portugal. I was disturbed by all this news, and I said," Lord, what about your children?" The angel said," I shall prepare them. They shall be looking for the appearing of the Lord. Many will cry to me in those days and I will save them. I shall perform mighty miracles for them and show them My power." So in the midst of great destruction, there will be the grace of God in those countries. I was happy that God has His protection over His children.

FOURTH ANGEL:

Now we go to Africa. I saw the fourth angel with wings fly over Africa, and I could see from Capetown in the south all the way to the north of Cairo - I saw all the countries there, more than fifty of them. The angel of Africa had a sword in his hand - a tremendous, sharp sword. Suddenly I heard him say, " Innocent blood has been shed. Divisions amongst the people generations far from the Lord - they have killed one another, thousands of people. I have seen my faithful children in Africa, and I shall reward all the faithful in the continent of Africa. I shall bless them abundantly. I shall control the weather - scorching and burning of the sun in some parts. Great rivers shall dry up, and millions will die from starvation. In other parts, flooding. Foundations shall be shaken. My sword shall judge the unrighteous and the bloodthirsty. So many earthquakes shall happen that rivers shall flow different directions in the continent, flooding many villages." I saw great pieces falling from the sky over different parts of Africa " There shall be trembling of the earth like has not been seen since the creation. None shall escape the sword of the Lord." I saw the River Nile drying up. It is the god of Egypt. Fishes dead and stinking all over Egypt. A great part of the middle of Africa will be covered with water - millions dying. "Lord," I said, "It is all bad news. All destruction. Any good news?" The Lord said, "The final day has come. Judgment day is here. My love has been refused now, and the end has come." I was shaking and trembling. I thought I cannot bear it.

FIFTH ANGEL:

Then I saw the last angel flying over North and South America - all the way from the North Pole down to Argentina. >From the east of the U.S.A. to California. I saw in his hand a bowl. The angel said he would pour out over these countries the judgments that were in the bowl. Then I heard the angel say, "No justice anymore. No righteousness. No holiness. Idolatry. Materialism. Drunkenness. Bondage of sin. Shedding of innocent blood - millions of babies being killed before they are born. Families are broken. An adulterous generation. Sodom and Gomorrah is here. The days of Noah are here. False preachers. False prophets. Refusing of my love. Many of them have the imitation of religion, but denying the real power.

When I heard all that, I begged the angel, "Can you not wait for a little while? Don't pour it. Give a chance for repentance." The angel said, "Many times God has spared and has spoken, but they have not listened. His patience has come to an end. Beware, the time has come. They have loved money and pleasure more than they have loved Me." As the angel began to pour from the bowl in his hand, I saw tremendous icebergs melting. When that happened I saw floods all over Canada and North America - all the rivers flood; destruction everywhere. I heard the world market collapsing with mighty earthquakes, and New York skyscrapers were tumbling - millions dying.

I saw ships in the ocean sinking. I heard explosions all over the north country. I saw the angel pouring over Mexico and two oceans joining together- the Atlantic and the Pacific. A great part of north Brazil covered with water, the Amazon River turning into a great sea. Forests destroyed and flooded. Major cities in Brazil destroyed; earthquakes in many places. As the angel poured, great destruction took place in Chile and Argentina as never before. The whole world was shaking. Then I heard the angel say," This will happen in a very short time." I said, "Can't you postpone? Don't pour these things out all over the globe." And suddenly I saw the five angels standing around the globe lifting up their hands and their wings towards heaven and saying, "All glory to the Lord of heaven and earth. Now the time has come and He will glorify His Son. The earth shall be burned and destroyed. All things shall pass away. The new Heaven and New Earth shall come. God shall destroy the works of the devil forever. I shall show My power - how I will protect My children in the midst of all this destruction.

Be ready for that day, for the Lord has come.

My room was full of light from the brightness of the angels. Then suddenly they ascended up to heaven. As I looked up I saw the angels go in five directions. I know they already have started their duties. For more than an hour I could not move. I was wide-awake, trembling from time to time. I said, " Lord, shall I leave Patmos now?" He said, "No, I brought you here for a purpose." I said," The message from the angels all over the world is not good news. It is judgment, punishment, destruction, devastation. What will people say about me? I've always been a preacher of love, peace and good news." The angel said," It is our message. You are the instrument, the channel. What a privilege that God has chosen you to give this message to the nations. "I said," Lord, Thy will be done." To God be the glory.

My Language of Love

First Language of Love

Words of Affirmation
You need to hear praise to know you are loved, and you may also prefer to express your affection verbally. Negative comments cut right to the bone. You want to hear that you're loved and how much and why.
I find that another’s criticism really, really hurts.
I tell those whom I love that I love them. That’s sufficient for me.
I feel like I need compliments, so sometimes I “fish” for them.
I feel like “a million bucks” when I get sincere praise.

Second Language of Love

Acts of Service
You prefer to show your love through favors and chores and doing things for others. You feel put-upon and unappreciated when your efforts are taken for granted.
I often feel special, significant, and useful when I help others.
I often feel upset when others don’t help me out, much less offer to do anything.
I show affection by doing things for other people.
I don’t usually ask for help, but when someone does something for me, I feel really cherished.

Chicken on your teeth.

Last night my wife wanted to get Annabelle to bed. She saw Annabelle teeth... and said,"Belle, there's chicken on your teeth".

I was like... what??? Chicken... big chicken .... on my daughter's teeth...

I look at my wife..... smiling.... hahahahahahaha

Your fart so busuk lah.

Went to Tesco one night and bought something for Annabelle. At the payment counter, while paying for the item, suddenly smell a stinking smell.

Asked Annabelle whether she eek eek.

My wife said... "No lah".

I said, "Bau busuk lah... dia berak tak?".

My wife said, "It's me lah"

Wahlau le... so smelly.

Yesterday, had been farting quite frequently.... stomach problem agak nya. But not as smelly as my wife's stinking bomb.

FARTING POEM
A fart can be quiet,a fart can be loud,
Some leave a powerful,poisonous cloud.
A fart can be short,Or a fart can be long,
Some farts have been known to sound just like a song
Some farts do not smell, While others are vile,.

A fart may pass quickly, Or linger awhile
A fart can create A most-curious medley,
A fart can be harmless, Or silent, but deadly.
A fart can occur In a number of places,
And leave everyone With strange looks on their faces.

From wide-open prairies, to small elevators,
A fart will find all of us Sooner or later.
So be not afraid Of the invisible gas,
For always remember,
That farts, too, shall pass.

Emotional Fornication

The way I see it, when we separate into peer groups with men and women together we end up having "emotional fornication." Chew on that for a second. Repeat it out loud. Emotional Fornication. I remember the first time those word were put together in my thoughts. "What?" was my first response. "YucK!" was my second. I didn't really care to define my past male friendships with such a disgusting thought. Consider this carefully and I think you'll agree that emotional fornication is an accurate definition for what foes one between people who share their hearts with someone who is not their spouse.

When a person fornicates before marriage we normally think of it in a sexual contect. I'd like you to think about emotional fornication. Here's a word picture to help you understand where I'm coming from.

Imagine for a moment one of those huge lollipops, the kind that you buy at an amusement park candy store. Take off the wrapper and pass it around to ten people. Allow them to lick as much as they want. The left over is saved for the husband or wife, the rightful owner of the lollipop. Yuck! Who would want that? When we give pieces of ourselves emotionally and spiritually to ten different boy/girl friends what is left over for the rightful owner? Just the leftovers! The rightful owner is first God, then a mate of His choice. Keeping yourself emotionally pure is a gift that should be left wrapped and given to the rightful owner, your spouse.

When the lollipops is passed around for anyone to taste, it is not being kept pure. When we spread our hearts around and share deep emotional feelings with a boy/girl friend, or even a handful or boy/girl friends, we are robbing our future spouses of parts of our emotional selves. In a word -- Fornication. Being pure is the goal of the believer; "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God" (Matt. 5:8).

You might be trying to reason this out: "Sharing myself or my thoughts isn't bad, is it?" Or, "It's not hurting anyone, so what's the problem?" The problem is that when intimate ideas, secrets, or dreams are shared with wrong motives or unclear relationship boundaries, the heart feels the effects when those in unclear relationships break up or start dating someone else.

Meeting with Anup Kumar

Made an appointment with Anup Kumar for dinner. He suggested Tandoori restaurant at Kota Laksamana. Went there with Michelle and Annabelle.

Ordered Roti Naan with cheese. It looks nice. Got to know more about Anup. He is from a Brahmin caste and has been living in Malaysia since 1994. Married to Punjabi lady from Malaysia but has yet to have a child. Later we found out that the wife is working in Salvation Army as one of the teachers there. He is currently studying and will want to do his MBA by nex year. He has been traveling to a number of countries, South Africa being one of them. He recommended me to go there.

He came from Bihar, India and is 38 years old. Was managing guest house before he stopped and continue studying. A brilliant man and very pleasant. Hope to get to know him more. Told him to bring his wife for the next get-together. Haven't decided when it will be.

Chinese the better rapper.

Found this video from another blogger. Watch it. Listen carefully to the wordings.
Worth listening. Better Chinese Rapper.

She lost my eggs

Went to Tesco to buy some stuff. Brought Michelle and the two girls. Bought RM2.00 worth of herbal eggs for Annabelle to eat. Since it is still hot, we went to buy jogging shoes for Annabelle. Gave the egg to Michelle to hold it while I put the shoes on Annabelle. Michelle put the eggs on the shelf and then she went to try out a new T-shirt. Within minutes, we couldn't find the eggs. Gone. Amazing... so fast got people want to take the eggs.

End up buying a cake for Annabelle. The eggs..... missing in action.

How high is your marriage standard?

During the ISLT training, Cassie (one of the trainer) was sharing about marriage and quarrel. He shared his testimony.

"I was married for 4 years at that time. We had a wonderful marriage time. Never had a quarrel. We are proud of it. 4 years of wonderful marriage without any quarrel whatsoever.

We went to a marriage counseling seminar. The counselor asked the participants to meet up with various other counselors regarding any quarrels that they have in their marriage. We tried to think of any quarrels that we might have in our marriage but could not come up with anything. None. No quarrels at all. So we ask the counselor about it. The counselor couldn't believe it. I told him that it's true that we have no quarrels during our 4 years of marriage.

After a while, the counselor made this remarks. "There is only one explanation that I can think of..... That you have a very low standard of your marriage". That statement really hit me hard.

A low standard of marriage. That's why there is no quarrels because it is easy to fulfill the standard and both of us are happy with it. But if the standard is high, there's higher expectations from one another, and that's where quarrels will exist when we failed to meet that high standards.

After that marriage seminar, I and my wife have been quarelling most of the time."

Cassie's testimony touched me strait away. I'm also was proud that my marriage has not many quarrels. Now I know that the standards that I put in my marriage is low.

Speech at ISLT Malaysia 2005 Graduation

Friends,

I was approached by Lyn Mackay to share something on what I feel about ISLT training. Didn't have much time to prepare but this is what I would like to share.

I CAME HERE TO ISLT:

- I came here to ISLT with fear, not knowing what I will have to go through. Not knowing how the training will be like.

- I came here to ISLT with expectation, expecting to learn new things. Expecting new things that can help me in the ministry.

- I came here to ISLT with a heavy heart. I have to leave my wonderful wife and two beautiful daughters for 21 days. However, I praise God that I am able to go back within the 3 weeks but some of you have to endure the 21 days.

- I came here to ISLT with responsibility. Responsibility to learn and be accountable to my ministry, accountable to the church that sends me, and accountable to the sponsors who paid much for me to come here.

- I came here to ISLT with hope. Hope that God will enlarge my vision.

I FOUND HERE IN ISLT:

- I found here in ISLT friends. Friends from all over the world. Friends who are serving God in the sports ministry.

- I found here in ISLT courage. Courage that I can go on despite the many obstacles along the way. Many of you have given me courage from the achievements and failures that you have gone through.

- I found here in ISLT co-workers. People who are serving the same God, working together to serve the people of sports. We are all servants of God.

- I found here in ISLT teachers. Teachers who have not just say but they do what they say. Teachers who are humble that they asked to be called by their first name. This is not easy for some of us who have problems not being able to call the teachers by their title. Teachers who gave their hearts and life to God.

- I found here in ISLT Biblical principles. Principles that I can apply in my life and in sports.

- I found here in ISLT inspiration. Hearing the testimonies of some of you gave me inspirations to do better for God. Your stories and testimonies have inspired me.

- There are many other things that I can say here about the training…. But it would take the whole day to finish. I would like to close with these thoughts.

I AM GOING BACK FROM HERE:

- I am going back from here empowered. Empowered to do the sports ministry in a better way. Empowered not just in knowledge but also in practical aspect of doing ministry.

- I am going back from here with awareness. Awareness that I am not alone in doing God's work but there are many others like me around the world, working for God.

- I am going back from here better prepared. Better prepared to run the race that God has set before me.

- I am going back from here with motivation. Motivation to do my best in serving God.

- I am going back from here with readiness in my heart. Readiness to go and do whatever God wants me to do.

- I am going back from here with confident. Confident not that I can do the work by myself but confident that God wants to use me in the ministry.

- I am going back from here with a humble heart, knowing that it is only through Christ I must do the work. And it is Christ that can grant me success.

- I am going back from here grateful that others especially the teachers have given much to me here in this training.

Friends, we are all leaders, whether we like it or not, whether we are aware of it or not. God has put us here as leaders to serve Him. It is my vision, my hope that in 20 years down the line, I'll be able to see all of you still serving our Lord. In 20 years time, we must be ready to pass the baton to the next generation.

May God bless you all.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Last night, after coming back from prayer meeting I saw my mom watching a Hindi movie. It's Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. That movie really touched my heart. Watched it before but still want to watch again.

Told Michelle about it and as expected she also wanted to watch it. So we watch it together. Finished at 2am. Good movie... touching movie. In the room Michelle and I reminisced our past. Wanted to ask her whether we can become one in flesh but before I could do that she already made the request. Such joy and intimacy to be one in flesh and emotions.

After that... doze off lah.

For single mom

I found this from the net. Interesting.

Question: I'm a single mom. How do I teach my son to pee standing up?

Answer: Actually, it's not that important to teach boys to urinate standing up in the first place. Little boys have a small penis that usually points almost straight forward. When you teach them to urinate standing up, they'll often pee on the back of the toilet or miss the bowl completely. And if your son should get distracted, perhaps by someone calling out his name (probably not knowing that he's in the bathroom), he may turn, and then his urine will end up, at best, on the floor and at worst, in the bathtub or wastebasket, or on the wall. It's better to teach him to urinate sitting down (like you do). Later on you'll be able to teach him to urinate standing up in about a day.

Cambodia Experience Wednesday 11-5-2005

By 7.30am everybody is up and ready to go. Went to the Chinese restaurant for our breakfast before we went back to the house. Then a van arrived and we traveled back to Phnom Penh. Along the way I asked the driver to stop so that I can go to the toilet. Can’t sleep along the way and was prompted to pray in the spirit. Don’t know why or for what purpose but I prayed. We reached Phnom Penh city at about 11.30am. We were sent to Pastor Chai’s student centre. From there Pastor Chai called Pastor Bala and a van was sent to pick us up to the hotel. After a quick shower, we went back to COP.

There, we were informed by Lilian about something that had happened while we were away. She didn’t want to tell in detail but ask us to be useful and the guys to take the lead. With that news and secrecy, we all felt anxious. Anyway, we continue to do what we are supposed to do. Lunch time, had a nice conversation with Pastor Bala about the next few days’ schedule.

After lunch, I watched the various team taught their syllabus to the students. Then there is games time. Enjoyed playing with the children. I would consider myself as a serious guy but somehow I discarded my seriousness and just want to have fun with the children. Make fun of myself dancing and imitating the children. They enjoyed it and I enjoyed it too. Then we went back to the hotel to wash up. The Agape team has yet to come back. We waited for them at FKC but because of some transport miscommunication, they came back late. So the group that was supposed to go to Pastor Chai’s centre went first. I went to Savaratna.

Niger led a Bible study on “Keeping the Commands of Christ”. The students responded enthusiastically to the Rewards of Keeping Christ’s Commands. Then photo session with the students before we went back to the hotel.

At the hotel we were debriefed of what had happened for the past few days. There are some spiritual attacks on some of the team members. Also some miscommunication problems with Pastor Bala. These events had affected seriously the team effectiveness to minister. However, after sharing out the matters, there was reconciliation and peace among the team members. We realized that God has made special plans for different team members to go through different trials during this trip. Indeed this is a special missions trip for me. New experiences, new trials, new lessons….friendships are strengthened. We rejoiced that God has found us worthy to go through the trials.

Tomorrow we will go and visit the Genocide Museum Toel Sleng.

Cambodia Experience 10-5-2005

This is the day we will be going to the village. We took breakfast at one of the Chinese restaurant. Then we chartered three motorcycles to bring us to the village. It was a fun ride to the village. The road is dusty and once again I feel at home. Not because of the dusty road but because of the sceneries and the village atmosphere. Along the way, we say a group of Muslims walking along the road. They were easy to recognize as they were wearing the turban and the robes.

I was reminded of the difference between Islam and Christianity. Islam forced their believers to conform to the Arab cultures but Christianity redeems the people’s culture. A Cambodian can still look like a Cambodian and still believes in Christ. An Indian can still wear the traditional clothing and still be a Christian. There’s no need to change attire to signify that one is a believer of Christ. There is no legalism in Christianity whereas Muslims are still bound to the “law”. May Christ set them free from the law and into the grace of God.

We passed by a big field before reaching the village. There is already a group of children and adults waiting for us. The church is at the house of the elder. He is the first to believe in Christ in that area and by God’s grace, many more were brought to Christ through him. After a brief introduction by the elder, we went down to minister to the people. The people were very attentive and enjoyed the English action songs that we taught them. I shared on my conversion testimony. Almost shed my tears during sharing as I remembered my mother’s sadness over my faith. Prayed that the testimony would encourage the people to stand firm in their faith. Alvin preached the Word. Though I find that it is a bit too deep/strong teaching for the people, I pray that the Holy Spirit will still minister to the people. We then prayed for the people. Many came to be prayed for, mainly for chest pain. After prayer, the team played games with the children. Jason shared about the Lion’s story.

We then traveled back to the base. We got a chance to visit a “mini” Angkor. They called it Wat Angkor. It is said to be older than Angkor Wat itself. There is still a temple inside where people come and pray. I went inside the place with my cap on. Then one girl came beside me and pointed to my cap. I realized that I need to take off my cap as a sign of respect. I did so but after a while I forgot about it and put my cap on. Again the girl came and asked me to take it off. After that we went back to the town.

We were then brought to the Bamboo bridge. It connects the mainland to an island at the middle of the river. I was informed that the village that we went in the morning is located in the middle of that island. The bamboo bridge is strong enough that a car can go through. We saw a car on the bamboo bridge. It was hot weather at the island. We saw fisherman catching fish using their nets. It was there that Daniel Sim challenged me to eat the small fish caught by the fisherman. The prize is 1 USD. It’s quite a small prize but that’s not a problem. I know it can be done so I accepted it. Most of them think that I’m bluffing so I ate the fish. More like AXN Fear Factor. Doesn’t taste nice. It’s nice to see their facial expressions when I show to them the fish in my mouth. Hopefully, I can get the photos of the fish in my mouth. When we want to walk back to the mainland, we were stopped by a lady who ask for the fee to use the bridge … 500 riel which is about 50cent Malaysian.

We then were sent to the youth centre where we are to teach computer lesson. But today the class starts late at 4pm until 7 pm. Today the team are more prepared. Daniel Sim has prepared a sample project for the students to do. The team members guided the students as they tried to do the project. Again before the students learn computer class, we taught them Bible lessons. We also presented skits for the students … the water lily, durian tree and bamboo tree. Helped the team by being the strong wind.
After the computer lessons, we prayed for the teachers and then went back for our dinner. After dinner, we did our devotion and debriefing. Then at about 11.30pm, we went out for supper. After supper, we went back and sleep.

Cambodia Experience - Monday 9-5-2005

We went to FKC after breakfast. Pastor Joanne met with the Kampong Cham team. She shared about the "clouds of oppression". The Melaka Monday Night prayer group had prayed for the missions team and one of them saw "clouds of oppression" over a village. Pastor Joanne believes that that vision is for Kampong Cham. We prayed for God's protection upon the team. Thereafter the team was joined by Vana and Tay, who will be our translator to Kampung Cham. We was sent to the market and there Vana got for us a van that will take us to Kampung Cham. The journey took about 2 hours 15 minutes.

Upon arriving at Kampung Cham, we realized that we are at a town center. Kampung Cham is the richest province in Cambodia as the Mekong river flows through the province. This enable the farmers to plant throughout the year without the need to depend on the rain. We arrived at Pastor Chai sister's house where we took our lunch. Our accommodation is the house next door where they are still doing construction. We cleaned up the place. Then we went to one of the church elder's house for cell group meeting. The other team members took Pastor Vana's car while Vana, Tay and I took the motorbike. As this is Vana's first time going to the elder's house, we got lost and had to ask for Pastor Vana's contact number. The house is above a workshop. The elder is a school teacher. After ministering to the family, we went to the New Born Church where we are supposed to teach computer classes.

At first we thought that we will only have one group of students for 3 hours. However, upon reaching the place we were informed that there will be 3 different groups of students for 1 hour each. First there will be a Bible study and then only the computer class. We did the same thing with the other two groups of students. A few of us took turns to share the Bible study.

During this time, we were able to gage the level of computer knowledge of the students. Some of them has already learned the basic of Microsoft Word. Daniel Sim was assigned to come up with a syllabus for students. After the evening class we were free. Dinner is at the base. We took our bath at our base house and at Pastor Chai sister's house.

Vana and Tay took us to the longest bridge in Cambodia. It was built with the help of the Japanese government as a token of friendship. We walked to the middle of the bridge (or maybe three quarter). The Lord impressed upon my heart to pray at the bridge and to claim control of the bridge and the river. As the bridge is the "gate" to Kampong Cham and river also will lead to Phnom Penh and the sea, it is a very strategic location to claim for the Lord. We gathered together and after instructing the team as what to pray, the team started praying. As soon as we starts to pray, I felt a strong wind blowing towards us. The other team members felt the strong wind too. I knew then that our prayers has stirred the spiritual realm. The clouds of darkness has been pierced. Only later did we found out the consequences of our prayers. When we finished praying, the strong wind also disappeared. We only felt the normal breeze. We walked back to the house, stopping by at the shop to buy water and food.

Devotion time and debriefing before we went to sleep.

Cambodia Experience - Sunday 8-5-2005

It's Sunday and I'll be preaching at Savaratna Centre. My message is "The Marks of a Mature Person" which is an overview of the book of James. There are 3 services that run concurrently this morning. The other two is at FKC and Pastor Chai's place. We went there early at about 7.10am. We thought that the service will start at 7.30am. However, we were informed that the service will only start at 8.30am. They will have a Bible Study class from 7.30 – 8.30am. Brother Jonathan (our translator) teach about the need to plan.

The students led in worship. It is wonderful to be there in the presence of God, worshipping together with the Cambodian students. They really worship God. The special numbers that they presented are beautiful. One song talks about the problems faced by a student studying in the city. Thereafter Ee Chia chaired the meeting. The team presented a song led by Leona. Michelle then shared her testimony of how God has been good to her during her trials. Then I preached the Word while Pastor Pich translated the message. It's good to be able to preach strong message to the students. I pray that the message will really minister to the students to be mature in person and in Christ.

Lunch is at FKC. The food was good. Managed to speak to Michelle regarding leading the next team to Kampong Cham. Hearing about her leadership background puts me to peace that she is able to led the team. We are still not sure who will be going for the Kampong Cham trip. We heard information that Kampong Cham is worst that the first village. Not sure whether those who wants to go are ready for the village experience.

We then prepared to play games at COP while one team will be ministering at Agape Centre. After the games at about 4.30pm, we went to Agape, some still wearing shorts. Upon arriving, Audrey has just started preaching. Sat there listening to the message of salvation. During altar call a few of the people responded and were prayed for. Later we were informed that there are 2 new conversions. Praise God for His love.

In the evening, got free time to go to the internet café. Send an email to my wife and wishing her a blessed 4th marriage anniversary. Though it is on the 12 May but I want to wish her first just in case I am not able to email her on that day. Praise God for a supporting wife. I know she is praying for me throughout this trip. Miss her very much.

Night service at Savaratna also. Also showing the movie "The Passion of The Christ". I'm supposed to "summarize" the service but I felt that it is good to have Audrey do the summing up. She did a good job. We also prayed for the students. Pastor Joanne prayed for the students also. One of them prayed the sinner's prayer.

Debriefing time – the main issue is the number of people who wants to go to Kampong Cham. At the end, eight of us decided to go. Michelle, Ee Chia, Yin Fong, Jason Foo, Alvin, Daniel Sim, Chern Liang and myself. Pastor Joanne is supposed to go for this trip but somehow she felt that it is better for her to stay and I follow the team instead. No problem for me as I feel that I'll enjoy it better at the village. Packed my things before went to sleep.

Cambodia Experience 7-5-2005 Saturday

Woke up at 4.30am as we have to leave by 5.00am. By 5.15am the car arrived. After saying goodbye to the host, we journeyed back to Phnom Penh. There are 8 of us in the car. This time I sat at the back seat. Niger and Sach sat at the front passenger seat. Most of us enjoyed the village experience that we do not want to go back to Phnom Penh. I guess we really feel comfortable ministering to the village people.

By 7.30am, we reached the hotel. The other team members were just about to leave the hotel to their respective centres for that day. We were given until 10.30am to wash up and rest before we were sent to our respective teams. Lunch at FKC and thereafter we went to COP for games. Really enjoyed playing with the children. I purposed in my heart not to be too serious but to enjoy the trip and have fun. And fun I had with the children.

It was during this time that I was informed that God healed a student from a growth in his hand. On the first night at Savaratna, the team prayed for the students during altar call. One of the student had a growth on his hand. He is supposed to see the doctor the next day. Earlier the doctor had advised him to go for an operation to remove the growth. However, when he went to see the doctor the next day, the doctor couldn’t find anything wrong with him. The growth has disappeared. All glory and praise to God for His healing power.

After the games, we went back to the hotel. I managed to go to the internet café and sent email to Michelle and check my emails. It’s good to be able to communicate after so many days in Cambodia. Miss my wife and my two lovely daughters Annabelle and Clarissa.
Saturday night I went to Pastor Chai’s student center. We showed the movie “The Passion of The Christ”. I had brought my LCD projector from Melaka, not really sure whether we will be using it. Praise God that the LCD projector was brought for good use. This time I watched the full length of the movie which is about 2 hours. The first time I watched the movie at Bethel Church, it was only about 1 and a half hour. We then went back to the hotel and had our debriefing. By the time we went back to our rooms it was already past midnight.

Cambodia Experience - 3rd day 6-5-2005

Friday 6-5-2005

I forgot to mention that last night, our translator Sach shared with the village policeman and another man at the house. The team were with him when he shared with the two men. The policeman asked him about sin and the penalty of sin. From that question, he shared with them the Good News. While he was sharing with them, the team members prayed silently for God to minister to the two men. Praise God that the two men wanted to receive Jesus as their personal Saviour. We heard the two men says the sinner’s prayer.

We woke up at about 6.30am. By that time, it was already so bright. Washed up and then took our breakfast – porridge. It tasted nice. This morning the team went to another village. We went to a school where we are to teach the kindergarten. Upon arriving at the school, we saw that the school is run by Buddhist monks except for the kindergarten. Beside the school buildings is a Buddhist pagoda with the sculpture of 5 face snakes guarding the entrance.

As we started to sing songs to the kindergarten children, other school children gathered at the classroom to watch us. We took the opportunity to play games with the other children. As it was their recess time, they are allowed to play with us. Rachel, Niger and Narong ministered to the kindergarten children while Wee Liem, Audrey, Sach and I ministered to the other children. Altogether there are about 80 children playing games with us. They really enjoyed the games. Of course they want to get the free gifts especially the balloons. Audrey almost got stampeded by the children when she threw the few remaining balloons and the children rushed towards her. When the bell rang, all the children went back to their respectives classes. All of us then ministered to the kindergarten children. By 10.30am the kindergarten was over and we went to the teacher’s house which is near the school.

At the teacher’s house, Sach started a conversation with the teacher’s husband. He is still not a believer. Sach asked me to share to the husband. Finding difficulties in communicating with the husband, I asked a few questions first to lead the conversation towards the Good News. Then I asked Sach to share the Gospel to the husband. The husband is not ready due to community pressures. We then prayed for him and the whole family. Thereafter we went back to Narong’s place for lunch. After lunch we rested for a while. Some of the children arrived at 1.00pm to study English. They have to wait for the teacher to come. While waiting, I tried to do some revision with the students using the English book. Some of them are very good and can remember well. When the teacher came at 2.00pm, he took over for a while before handing it over to the team to teach. We sang songs and Wee Liem taught them about faces and actions. The children really enjoyed the songs. By then the adults also had gathered at the house to see us teach the students. They too enjoyed the songs very much.

After the English class, we took the motorbike and went to another village. This time, I sat at a motorbike that does not have cushion at the pillion seat. It was really a torturous experience for my butt. Furthermore, we got lost along the way and had to asked for directions. By the time we reached the kindergarten, the other team members are already waiting for us and wondering what happened to us.

The team then ministered to the children. There for the first time, I saw a green patch of the paddy field. For the past two days, all I saw of the villages is dry field, dusty road and dried up ponds. But here at this kindergarten I saw a small patch of young paddy growing. Went there to have a look. Then I went back to the kindergarten and the team have already begin to introduce themselves to the children. We then teach them English actions songs which they enjoyed singing. We also played games with them. Over all we really had fun ministering to them. They also showed to us their traditional “Noi Noi” dance. Before we went back to Narong’s place, we prayed for the teacher and another old lady.

Upon reaching Narong’s house, we had to do children ministry. Using balloons and the poky ball, we play with the children. While we were playing, there’s a commotion at the bathroom. Somebody saw a snake in the bathroom. After a while, Niger, Wee Liem and I went to have a look. We wanted to kill the snake but the villagers stopped us. They caught the snake and then released it at the drain. We took our dinner and thereafter took our “under the starlight bath”. At night we did our devotion and debriefing.

Cambodia Experience - Thursday 5-5-2005

Thursday 5-5-2005

Woke up at 6.30am. Breakfast at 7.00am at the hotel. Today I broke my daily routine of not eating breakfast. I took breakfast – beef noodles. After breakfast, I told Pastor Joanne of my dream. We went to FKC which we call our base. Upon arriving there, Pastor Joanne asked me to share my dream with the group. Shared with them my dream and thereafter the team prayed. Then the village team went to the market together with 2 students who will act as our interpreter – Salvot and Narong. We will be going to Narong’s village. Upon arriving at the market, a group of taximen swarm around us. Salvot made the arrangement for our taxi to the village. It will take us 1 and half hour to reach the village.

At last, Salvot managed to find one taxi who is willing to bring us there. The taxi is a Toyota Camry car. I thought that there will be two taxis but was told that all of us will be going into that one car. The total of 9 people in one car. 5 at the back seat, 2 at the front passenger seat and 2 at the driver seat. Sat at the front passenger seat with Wee Liem. It is not comfortable at all. Half way the journey, had to ask Wee Liem to sit on my lap… though heavy but it is more comfortable.

We reached the village and went for a short walk touring the village. Upon arriving at the kindergarten, we were asked to handle the children. The team was quite unprepared but praise God, everything went on smoothly. We played games and sang action songs. And we also shared Bible stories with the children – David & Goliath. I acted to be Goliath and really scares the boy who is supposed to be David. What to do,… he is really scared of my face and my voice.

Thereafter, we went to the chief’s house and waited until 12.00noon where we are supposed to teach English class to a group of children. The team taught them numbers and faces. The children are quite advanced so we can’t use the lessons that we prepared for them. We taught them songs – simple English action songs.

Thereafter we took motorbikes ride to Narong’s village. It’s about 15 minutes ride from the first village. Took our lunch there. There’s only 2 main dishes. Soup and vegetables. Though simple yet I really enjoy the food. After lunch, we rested for a while. There’s an English class at Narong’s house at 3.00pm. We watch the teacher taught the children first before the team starts teaching English songs. Thereafter, the team began teaching English lessons to the children. Some of the children are good in their understanding of the words use. The class ends at 5.00pm. We rested for a while before we went to a house for visitation. Talked to the family for about 1 hour and by then it is already dark. Went back to Narong’s house. Another student Sach arrived by motorbike and Salvot went back to Phnom Penh.

Ministered to the children there with balloon sculpturing and songs. At about 7.30pm we took our dinner… again a simple dinner and plain water. The drinking water is really muddy. Its pond water which the host took from a pond nearby. The water was used for cooking and bathing. They boiled the water and gave us to drink. At first we are quite unsure of whether we should drink the water. After drinking a bit, the rest of the team tried it. Then for the rest of our stay there, we drank the boiled pond water without any hesitation.

After dinner, the girls bathed at the bathroom while Niger, Wee Liem and I bathed at the water pump well just next door. It’s very cooling to bathe there… dark as there’s no electricity in the village. During the night we prayed together and debriefed before we went to sleep. Slept inside the room with Niger, while the rest slept outside.

Cambodia Trip - 1st day - 4-5-2005 Wednesday

This is my story of my Cambodia Trip.

Day One - Wednesday 4-5-2005

What can I say about this trip (4-14 May 2005) except that it has been a wonderful trip. I’ll write as much about the trip as I do not want to forget about it later in the future.

Wednesday 4 -5-2005. Arriving at Phnom Penh International Airport is quite a torture. The flight’s descent at the airport caused painful pressure to my ears. This is what I don’t like about taking flight. Some flights… there are no pressure at all but sometimes the pressure is very painful to the ears. The airport reminded me of Sibu Airport and Medan Airport, not as big as KLIA. There’s no problem getting through the customs and we were greeted by Pastor Bala from FirstKids Kindergarten Cambodia. He is from Grace Assembly Klang and has been a missionary in Cambodia for about 6 years already. Still single.

Pastor Bala has arranged for two vans, Mercedes Benz vans to ferry us to the budget hotel “Beng Mealea Guest Hotel”. Throughout the trip, we used these two vans as our transport from the hotel to the various centres and places that we have to go. Such a luxurious transport compared to the local transport in Phnom Penh.

Upon arriving at the hotel, we checked in and I was assigned a room with Daniel Ee and Jason Foo. Thereafter, we went to FirstKids Combodia (FKC) for a briefing. We were informed of our first few days schedule. It is a very pack schedule. We will be teaching and ministering to various places, among them are Center of Hope (COP), Agape Centre, Vocational Training School (VTC), and two more student centres pastured by Pastor Chai and Pastor Pich.

After dinner, the group was divided into two groups to minister at the student centres. I went to Pastor Pich’s student centers call Savaratna Centre. The students shared testimonies and Michelle Ding preached the Word. We prayed for the students who came up for prayer. Then we went back to the hotel and had our debriefing. I was told that I’ll be leading a team to the village for the next 2 nights 3 days. The team consists of Niger Lim (leader), Wee Liem, Rachel Tong and Audrey.

That night I had a spiritual attack in the form of a dream. And this is what I saw. I was walking with another person (whom I can’t remember who) towards a flat plain which is about 1.5 meters higher from the place I was standing. Then I saw a white snake sliding past me to the right. There in front of me were dried branches gathered together. Then I saw a long black snake measuring 10 to 15 meters long. It was lying among the branches. I then wanted to kill the snake, looking for a stick to hit the snake. As I was climbing the higher plain to get to the snake, suddenly the snake arose and stood up. There on the high plain were a few buffalos and cows, which is about 50 meters away from me. Then the snake moved past me as though it is flying. I thought that the snake wants to bit me but it went directly to one of the cows. As it was flying towards the cow, it opened its mouth wide; the size of the mouth is big enough to swallow the whole cow. It attacked the cow and swallowed it without much difficulty.

At this time, I became fearful. This is not the normal snakes that I had seen. I know instantly that this snake is beyond my ability to kill. I walked down to the lower land and as I was walking away from that place, I saw the black snake came towards me wanting to attack me. As it came near me, I rebuke it in the name of Jesus. I know that this is the only way that I can protect myself, the power of the Name of Jesus. After I rebuked the snake, it stopped and couldn’t attack me. However, the snake transformed into an image of a man. I could see the man’s face. He was smiling at me. It was a sinister smile. The smile that wants to put fear in me. Though he can’t attack me, he is trying to tell me that I can’t win over him either. With that I woke up.
