Completing my study

After many delays, I will finally be doing my SLR student learning requirement in two weeks time. As the subject requires me to share in a group, I was not able to find the suitable time or the opportunity to do my sharing. I am supposed to share on what I have learned from the course and apply the principles in my sharing. It would not be easy as the topic is a difficult topic to apply. It is not something that you can apply everyday. Anyway, I am thankful to God for giving me the opportunity to complete my SLR by this month. And I am hoping to take the final examination for this subject by end of this month too. After that I might want to take another subject from ICI. It is not an online university although I would be glad if they can consider providing online courses.

Clarissa is out of kindy

Her mummy decided to bring her out of kindy and drill her at home. She has been to kindy for more than a year but has yet to improve on her ABCs. Only when we drilled her at home she managed to remember it. Furthermore, we were informed that she is not paying attention when the teachers taught the class. After much thinking, she is now under the care of her mummy. And knowing Clarissa, her mummy is going to need lots and lots of patience and love and compassion and willpower to teach her. All the best to you dear.

Free homeschooling?

There are a few pastors here who homeschool their children. It is a new way of educating our children especially when the public school system has been deeply established in the country. As such when they decided to homeschool their children, many including their congregation adopted the wait and see approach. This is not surprising and many are still not sure how it is done and what would the future holds for the children where qualifications are linked to the public school examinations certificate.

Maybe I need a tutor

Did post about me going back to study. Yes, I am planning to finish my second degree even though my nightmares are about studying. Well, not exactly about studying but about not being prepared for examinations. I think I might need innovative tutoring program from Score Learning. They have Innovative Tutor but it is only for children ages 4 to 14. So instead of me, maybe I will let my 4 years old daughter take it. I want my daughter to be prepared for examinations anytime, anywhere.

Teaching My Daughters to Read

I babysit my children in the afternoon every other day except Wednesday and Friday. So how did I spend my time with them? Most of the time, I let them play by themselves. I tried teaching them reading but to no avail. "Daddy, you are not a teacher." My eldest would say when I tried teaching her. She is quite left behind in her class due to it. Someone asked me, "Have you ever consider becoming a math tutor?" "Hah??? Me? Why me?" I asked in my surprise. "Because you have so much patience which I believe math tutors should possess." he replied. I, may be a very patience guy but teaching Math??? You must be kidding. I love nature. I love Geography not Math. You asked me to teach Geography, anytime but Math, go asked those math tutors from Score. They are the expert. :)
