U look haggard

Mr R came to my shop and immediately told me. "Hey David, what happened to you? You look haggard". Told him that I've always looked haggard. He deny that saying that in the previous meetings I looked fresh. Hmmm....

After thinking of what he said, I realised that this could only the sign that my body is getting weaker. Well, its time to boost up my immune system and get enough rest. Need to sleep early tonite.
Do I look haggard like this man? Hope not.

Goodbye

I hate goodbyes. Saying goodbyes to my two sisters ... sadness filled my heart. When will I see them again? But goodbyes must be said. Goodbyes is the ending and also the beginning. The ending of being together and the beginning of separate lives. So goodbye is then a must. Life must go on. But though the goodbyes are said, the love remains in the heart.

May God be with you all always...and may we see you all again soon. So for now...goodbye.

bong family

This is my family, taken on 26th January 2009. Missing in action is another 5 people. The United Nation of Bukit Rambai.

The house is quiet again

Now that CNY is over the house is quiet again. Sigh... too quiet suddenly. No more sounds of the children running, playing, shouting and crying. Quiet. The stillness is like frozen ice. No more hoohahs. Life is back to routine... work work work.

Desperate people desperate options

It is interesting to know that when people are desperate, they would do anything especially in this time of economic uncertainties. I am sure many are thinking about how to survive financially. I too am one of them. The economic slowdown has been affecting my business. I can say that many times I would imagine that I would come across a bundle of cash, thousands or maybe a million dollar cash. How delighted I would be. No, I had not come across that bundle of cash and I guess I better stop imagining about it. I had better trust in a more secured person, God.

In this desperate times, many would opt for Cash 4 Gold. Selling gold jeweleries can be easy and the best option for some. If you are given the choice of selling your house or sell your gold jeweleries so that you can settle your $4000.00 debt, Cash 4 Gold is a better option.

I know many Chinese are into 4D, Toto, and lottery. Even most of my family members are into 4D. This CNY, they all pool together to buy a number but unfortunately the number did not "strike". They have extra money to spend from their "angpau" so they bet on 4D. I would not want to waste my money on 4D as I know that does not reflect what I believe about my God. I do pray that I also does not have to opt for Cash 4 Gold and that my business would be blessed indeed.

What would you do? In this desperate time, would you do desperate things? I do pray that our integrity would stand firm even in desperate times.

I'm Motomoto

My children loves to watch the movie "Madagascar 2". A few nights ago, I was there watching with them and it came to the part where it shows the BIG male hippo Motomoto trying to woo the female hippo. My daughters laughed when they saw that part and immediately look at me.

"That's daddy".

I laughed at the funniness of it. "Why its daddy?" I asked them. They just laugh but didn't give a reply.

Hmmm... I wonder whether it is because of the big size or because of the romantic appealing look of Motomoto that they associated it with me. I do hope so. I definitely do not want to be associated with the "blur blur" side of Motomoto.

Now I got a new nickname... .MOTOMOTO... not Motorola.

Still not done yet

Last year, when things (business) is doing well and we have extra income to spare, we were thinking about doing something with our cars. One of it is changing my car seat cover. It is not in the best condition with signs of wear and tear. Having three children does not help at all in trying to keep the cushion cover clean and spotless. There are many signs of water and food spills until we lost count of it.

Now the new year has passed us by and we still have yet to change the car seat cover. With the coming of the 4th one this April, we would have to put a baby car seat in our car again. I wonder whether we will use the old one or just buy a new infant car seat. I think the old one is still in the garage. It is time to start thinking about what I need to do with my car. Hopefully when the Lord blesses us with extra income, we will be able to do something for the car.

Main computer down

After faithfully serving for 2 years, the main computer that served as the server bids farewell. It has been showing signs of sickness for the past 2 weeks. Now it is being replaced by a newer better computer. This newer computer costs around RM900. As much as I like the operating system installed by the computer shop, I had to reinstall a new operating system into it so that I can download Windows Update. I realized (now more than before) the importance of being able to download security patches updates especially when my customers can plug in their pendrives (which is definitely loaded with viruses)to the computers. Now the new computer is up and running and I do hope that there would not be any major problem with the server for as long possible.

The amazing thing about the old computer is that after a few tinkering here and there, it can still be used without any problem. My guess is that the dust collected inside the computer casing is the main cause of the problem. I will just bring back the computer for my own home usage or sell it.

Vomit it out

Its been a long time since the last time I vomited. Last night was the latest incident. Penang Asam Laksa came out. Together with sambal and rolled pineapple tarts. I am not sure what the ingredients are in the Laksa but I know my stomach don't like it. By 10pm my eyes started to feel painful (like detox effect)and by 11pm I cannot tahan de. Took my lazy chair out and just lie down until the last customers left. Then I quickly switch off all the switches, close down the shutter and drove back home. I am not sure how many drivers have I scolded in my heart for driving "too slow" last night. Immediately when I came out from my car, all the vomit came out. Ewwwhhh.. vomit out all that I can vomit... Penang Asam Laksa. Then went into the house and after brushing my teeth, immediately went to bed. No energy to service my wife.

Competitive business

Everyone is talking about economic slowdown. Often there will be news of factories closing down their operation. Many companies are retrenching their workers. Some choose to reduce their operation days to minimal. At the end of the day many companies would have to do what they can to avoid loss. Even General Motors and Chrysler in US had to depend on government loan to sustain them from bankruptcy.

Cyber cafe business is no exception. When the public are hard on cash, they would think twice on spending on entertainments. This means that the money that they would spend in my shop would be used for other necessary needs resulting in less income for my business. Economic slowdown affects everybody.

I can see the other business along my shop. There are many signs that they are affected too. There are three beauty salons shops in the same row. And looking at the situation they are in now, I can say that beauty salon jobs are not easy. One of the hairstylist is doing quite well as he has a flair with girls and most of the factory girls would go to him to have their hair rebonded, perm or coloured. Because of his flair with his customers, the other beauty salon is left with less customers and might have to close down operation. Sad but that's the reality in business. It is very competitive.

Ho ho ho... I got a present for Christmas

Yes, I got one this year. And it is a wonderful surprise too. Didn't expect to receive any as I know that wifey did not buy anything for me, nor do I bought any for her. Only for the children. But lo and behold, during the church Christmas evangelistic meeting at night, I was one of the blessed 30 persons who received a gift from the blessed draw. And I got a Hellboy II promotional gift bag. Suitable to be used when I go cycling.

And another good news is that Mother also got a gift, a 3 pcs handmade decorative vases. She was also asked by Pastor Lee Neo to pick out 5 names for the blessed draw. Brother Daniel's family was blessed with 3 gifts. So the Bong's family was blessed with 5 gifts out of the 30 gifts prepared by the church. My children was so excited to know that their daddy and granny received presents. And they are the ones who unwrapped the presents.

Christmas and presents

Now that Christmas Day is over, many would give a sigh, some sigh of sadness because the beautiful wonderful celebration is over while some sigh of relief because life returns to normal. I have always wanted to have a quiet peaceful Christmas but it seems that that wish does not come true this year. This Christmas is busy with activities, from the morning Christmas service in church and then a dinner cum evangelistic service at night. In between, there is the opening of presents by the children. This year their mommy bought for them toys instead of books. I remembered that we bought a book for Annabelle for last year Christmas present. This Christmas she got a scooter board from her mommy.

I remembered my first book present from my sister long time ago. I read it again and again and I really treasured it. Then when I was a teenager, I love reading books like Secret Seven and Famous Five, and would dream of having my own investigative group to solve various riddles and mysteries. Those were the days when books captured the hearts and mind of the readers. Now, it still does but it just that I have no time to read books. Instead I prefer to go online and read whatever information I needed to find. It is time for my children to find the joy of expanding their mind through various story books. Merry Christmas and Happy Boxing Day everyone.

The price is going up

I asked my wife, "What's the price of gold now?" She just shrugged her shoulder and said, " I don't know". "Check the price online lah" I asked her as she was there in front of the computer. Upon checking the price, she told me it is RM105 a gram. Wah, the price has gone up since last week.

After putting our extra money in the gold account, I was interested to check the gold price regularly. Often when we passed by a gold shop, we would check the price to see whether the price is going up or going down. We did not buy the actual gold as we do not have a safe place in our house to put them. So putting them in a gold account is a better choice for us.
And everytime we passed by the gold shop, my mind wants to buy jewelery for my wife. I know I can't afford the expensive jewelery now so maybe buying from holsted jewelery would be sufficient. The quality is superb and looks like the real one. Anyway, I told my wife that when the time comes, she will get her wishes. I thank God that she is not fussy about it.

Felt aimless

I hate this feeling. Being aimless in life. It is a sick feeling. Going through life without much to look forward to. No target, no goals to achieve. Well, at least not in the near future. Felt aimless.

Don't get me wrong. I know what I want to do with my life. Or at least I know what is in store for me in the future. It is just at this time when the situation is such that I can't do anything that I think I should be doing. Business working hours are not fixed, depending on the part time staffs schedule. Of course, the income is not more than enough to enable me to want to do the things I want to do. So I'm stuck in the unpredictable timetable routine which disables me from doing much. No time to exercise too, lack of regular sleeping time already shown its' toll on my body.

Aimless...but then I will continue to trust in the Lord. He has a better plan for me.

What would you do?

If you are pregnant and the scan shows that the baby is having cleft lips? What would you do when you are told by the doctor that the baby might also be deaf and dumb and some other difficulties? What would you do?

My wife friend's colleague is now in her 21 weeks pregnancy, same as wifey. The friend's colleague is considering to abort the baby. WAITTTTTTT.... DON'TTTT DO THAT.

Would you ABORT the baby?

What would a Christian do? Let me rephrase that. What would I (as a believer in Jesus Christ)do about it? I guess that is what the Holy Spirit has been asking me since I heard the news. What would I do? Deep down I know what I must do. Adopt the baby. What? Am I crazy? Well, the last time I check I am not in any mental ward hospital...so I think I am still okay. But why adopt the baby?

Let it be known to all that our lives are given by God. That each and every lives are precious to God. And if it is precious in God's sight, it must be precious to us too. And being a believer in Jesus Christ necessitates me to show God's love to everyone (in varying degrees at varying times). And in this circumstances, to show to the baby that God loves him even though the parents may not want him alive.

Now, I am not condemning the parents. They may in their ignorance and in their own religious beliefs think that they are doing what is best for the baby. I would not want to dwell or argue on that. What they can do is to let me adopt the baby instead should abortion is their decision.

Striving Hard

The word "striving" basically means hard work, endurance to achieve a goal. And that is what I am doing now. I am striving hard. No, not to build up my business, although at times I seems to be doing so, but to finish my studies. It is not an online degree but by way of correspondence. I enrolled for the degree a long time ago and I still have about 5 more subjects to finish. Whether I like it or not, I have to strive hard to finish my studies. Studying is not one of my favorite things to do but I know I have to do it.

So with the striving hard month by month, I hope (hope only) that I can finish my degree by end of next year earliest. It will take me about 3 months average to finish one subject. Go go go...go for it.

Birthday party for Clarissa

Her Mommy wants to do a simple birthday party for her. What is supposed to be a simple party turns out to be a not so simple party. More like a medium party with a total of 15 children, 3 teenagers and 15 adults. Haiyo... quite a big turnout lah. I'm not so fond of having parties. I prefer quiet solitude than being in the hoohahs. But I guess children would love parties where there are cake and presents. Anyway... happy birthday my dear Clarissa. May God's blessings be upon you throughout your life. Don't forget to serve Him all the days of your life. Daddy loves you very much.

What do I want for my birthday?

I didn't realize that my birthday is coming soon. Too soon I may say. Too fast as I didn't expect it to come flying by. My wife has already asked me as to what I want for my birthday gifts. As usual, I would have no idea as to what I want for my birthday. So my standard normal routine year by year answer would be, "Hmmm...don't know lah".

I guess to some wives out there, that kind of answer can be a relief as they would not need to spend much money buying gifts. But on the other hand some may find is irritating as they would have to crack their head and figure out what to buy as a gift. As long as I get a quiet day to relax and enjoy myself, I would be very happy indeed. No gift also never mind. Maybe just a meal together at KFC or Pizza Hut using the free voucher coupon that we received from Bonuslink would do just nice.

Even though I have told my wife many times for many years, she would still buy me something for my birthday gifts. Sometimes others give me presents that is of no practical use for me. Times like that I wished they would just give me any gift card instead. Then I would be able to buy the things that I really want to use like sports items. No wastage of money for both sides.

Need time to relax

It has been a hectic time working full time at the shop. At my age, working the whole day in the shop can be very tiring indeed. I thank God that there are part time staffs who helps to break the monotonous schedule. Even then I had to work full days for 3-4 days in a week. Lack of sleep can take a toll on my health.

I am asking God for a full time staff. Honest, reliable and someone that can be depended on to provide good friendly service to the customers. I can't go on my own like this for long or else I would soon be in Fort Lauderdale Home Health Care before I know it. With a full time staff, I would be able to have enough rest and sleep and can have a balance lifestyle. I do want to spend more time with my family as the children are growing up fast, very fast. As for now, I need time to relax.

No hope for it now

There are so many students who called to see the apartment. Most of them say they want to rent the apartment. Most of them confirmed, saying that they will definitely rent the apartment. We went there for how many umpteen times to show the apartment to the students. But then they will call (or did not call) and say that they will not rent it. Each calls give hope but each hope was dashed to the ground. Now, I don't put any more hope that the students will rent the apartment. Even though they confirmed with me, I still have no hope about it. Even when they have confirmed, I still take calls and entertained other students who wants to see the apartment. ONLY and ONLY when they have paid the deposits then will I have more confidence in them. As for now, all they talks are bullshits.

It is faded now

The shirts that I wear to work have shown signs of aging. It is now faded. The black lines are no longer striking black and so is the orange color. I guess that vigorous washing by the maid really put a lot of pressure and tension on the shirts.

It is about time that I buy a few more working shirt for my staffs and myself. Maybe I will check out Dickies as I heard that their workwear is durable and yet comfortable too. Must make sure that the company logo and slogan can be printed on the shirts.

Nightmare again

I had my nightmare again yesterday. Dreaming of being in college and the exam is near. Now, I never studied in a college before. And I never take any courses via online colleges too. I studied in the local varsity and truthfully speaking those four years of studying is not an enjoyable time of my life. No, I never went crazy because of the hectic lecture and tutorial schedules. It is just that studying is not my favorite hobby. And in my nightmare, the exam is near and I realized that I has yet to study for one particular subject. Wah... it is really scary. I am not sure about you but if I have to sit for an examination and I am not prepared for it, it would be scary. Of course if I had prepared myself for it, then there is nothing to be scared of. I just thank God that I woke up and then realized that I am already working.

Capital needed

He wants to sell his cybercafe business for only RM16K. Sounds cheap considering that there are 16 units of computers and that there are already regular customers. The reason he wants to sell his business is because of lack of reliable staff to run the cybercafe. He can't be there all the time as he has other works to do. After being in the business for 2 years, I believes that with God's blessing the business can be run successfully. Since his cybercafe is only offering computer usage and gaming service, there are opportunities to generate more income if we provide additional services. To cut it short, I know there is potential for that cybercafe business to generate more profit. That is why I am keen on buying over that cybercafe business.

There are two problems that I have to overcome. First, the capital to buy the business and secondly, to find a reliable manager to run the business. I came across Applyfast.com where I can apply for credit cards. Maybe I can use the credit card to provide some portion for the capital while the rest of the capital would come from other sources. I have inquired about taking personal loan from the bank but the amount allocated for me is not enough to cover the total capital needed. A business partner who can provide half the capital would do just nice.

Will still pray about it. Man can plan but it is God who determines the success of it.

Additional staff

Employed another staff to help run the cybercafe. His name is simply Ramesh. Yes, one word name as stated in his identification card. A friend of Andy. Allowed him to work with me as he intends to own and operate an internet cafe himself. We were actually thinking of buying over one cybercafe business and that's the starting point to me ending up employing him, part time. He is still working with Infineon and he would come to work with me during his free time. Two days he had been with me, learning whatever that can be learned. He has a lot of things to learn and I do hope he can catch up fast. Then I can have more rest time... rain rain go away lah.

Rain rain go away

It has been raining these two days. Argggghhhhhhhh... and I'm still coughing a bit. Cold cold weather...go far far. Rain rain go away... go far far. I need warm weather. Give me the sun, heat me up. Rain rain go away, me David wants to recover.

Unfulfilled wish

As much I would love to shower my wife with beautiful gifts, I know I have my financial limits. I know it would be nice to be able to shower her with gifts and I am sure she would be delighted to receive it. She has been asking for a real diamond ring when we got married but until now I have yet to fulfill her wish. Although she did not ask for it again, I know it would be great if I can give her one. This is one of the benefits of having a wife whose language of love is not Receiving Gifts.

Maybe I should consider looking at holsted jewelry and choose the beautifully designed diamond ring for her. Of course, there are “cheap” diamond rings that look like the real ones but then it would defeat the purpose of fulfilling her wish. Wait dear, when the Lord blesses us, you will get your heart’s desire.

I hate this feeling

Of being sick. And that of being helpless, unable to do much about it. Tried everything that I know to get me better and the body just refused to budge from being sick. And then there's perspiration from morning till night. Everytime I drink water, it seems that the next minute the water is literally sweating out from my body. "Out of your body, flows out rivers of sweat". And then there's the dreaded coughing, the irritation of the throat that makes cough and cough. The cold weather and wind made things worse. At times like this, I wished I lived in a desert. Urggggghhhh....I hate this feeling.

Disconnected

Lord, I feel so distant from you. It seems that we have been disconnected many times for a few weeks now. And the many times when we were connected, it seems just for a little while. My spirit is drying and thirsting to be filled with you again. Quench my thirsts for you O Lord. I don't want to live my life without your touch, without your anointing, without your presence in my heart, mind and spirit. How can I be filled with Thee O Lord! To seek Thee and to enter into Your presence wherever I may be. May Your power, joy, peace and love radiates in me. Oh how true the Psalmist says, to be in your presence a day is much better than to be without you a thousand years.

You are the vine, I am the branches. Without you, I will die. Without you, I can do nothing. Flow your essence through me and let me grow and blossoms, and bear much fruit for You.

Prolink Load Balancer

Bought one Prolink Load Balancer from Fida Systems Sdn Bhd. It is 4 WAN ports load balancer. That means it can be connected to 4 internet lines.I have one unit of 2 WAN ports Load Balancer but because I wanted to add additional streamyx line, I had to buy this 4 WAN ports Load Balancer.

Okay, how do you configure the 4 WAN ports Load Balancer? It is quite simple. You need to understand how the Load Balancer works. You can do this by reading the manual which comes in softcopy format. If this is your first time using the Load Balancer, I would suggest that you read through the manual.

No, I would not list down how to install the Load Balancer. That would be too long. I just want to point out these two things.

- When the streamyx contractor come to install your streamyx line, tell him NOT to configure the ADSL modem to router mode. Just make sure you know the Streamyx Username and Password. If however, he has configured it to router mode, just reset it to factory default.
- It is better to configure the Load Balancer directly, meaning the LAN cable from the Load Balancer is connected directly to the PC instead of going through a hub.

The others are as mentioned in the manual. Make sure you read the manual thoroughly.

Missing her

I missed my wife now. She normally comes to help me out in the shop at 6pm till 9pm. This week the children (all three of them) are down with fever, cough and flu. That means that wifey had to stay at home looking after the children. Today, she herself is down with fever. I miss my wife. Lord, let your healing touch be upon my children and Michelle.

Added the 3rd streamyx line

After much consideration, I decided to add in another streamyx line for my internet cafe. Right now I am subscribing to a total of 3MB of streamyx broadband. I do hope that with the additional 1MB, there would not be any lagging or slow connection for my customers. I hate it when the streamyx line is down and I have to turn away my customers. It is a big loss for my business. This additional streamyx line costs me about RM1.3K. I had to fix another phone line which costs me RM350 including deposit. Then I had to buy 4 WAN Load Balancer from Fida System which costs me RM850 and 8 ports router which costs me RM66. Streamy Combo for Business package costs me RM150 a month. I pray that this investment will give me good returns in the short and long term.

Seven Deadly Stresses

Stress can kill. Yes, that's true. Maybe not immediately but in the long term. I received an email from Bill Gothard about the seven deadly stresses and I know it would be a good insight for all of us. Read through.

I have some very exciting news! It relates to the commands of Christ we have been learning about through the Daily Success e-mails. God promises that if we keep His commands before our eyes, He will reveal Himself to us. This is precisely what He has done by allowing us to
see how His commands relate to health.

We have learned that there are seven deadly stresses that are major causes of health problems. These include the stresses of anger, guilt, lust, bitterness, greed, fear, and envy. Each stress has a direct effect on a system of the body. Anger affects the cardiovascular system, guilt the nervous system, lust the endocrine system, bitterness the digestive system, greed the immune system, fear the respiratory system, and envy the musculoskeletal system.

When people resolve the stresses in their lives, the related symptoms of their diseases often clear up. What is even more exciting is that there are seven commands that directly relate to each stress! For example, by applying the seven commands related to anger, we can
resolve the stress of anger in our lives. The same is true for every other stress.

All of this is explained and powerfully illustrated in a brand new health manual titled How to Resolve 7 Deadly Stresses. You can secure a copy of this "revolutionary" manual by visiting
www.store.iblp.org/?id=ds0908 or by calling 1-800-398-1290.

There is an accompanying Website, www.lifepurposehealth.com , that further explains the truths in the book. I believe that you will be encouraged and benefited by these two resources for life and health.

Renewal and Inquiry

Went to MBMB to renew my business licence. It is due end of September and renewal for 3 months period. It costs me RM90 to renew my licence. For whatever reasons, MBMB only gives out temporary licence to internet cafes. Most probably they want to monitor the activities of the cybercafes in Melaka. I find it very troublesome to go to MBMB every 3 months to renew my licence. Waste of petrol and time for something that should be done once a year.

While at the counter I asked the clerk about the possibility of opening another branch at PK. She says there should not be any problems but I suspected that she does not know much about it. She consulted another colleague who seems to know more about the conditions of opening a cybercafe. She said I can inquire from the officer in charge but the officer would only be in the office after 12 noon. Knowing that nothing much I can do there, I went back to my shop to start my work....full day today. Will have to find time to drop by at the officer's office.

Glad to be of service

Miss Tan works as the Operational Manager in one of the local banks and she has helped me a lot with my banking work. Out of a sudden she came to my shop and ordered a bottle of honey. Yes, I do sell honey way back then but I stopped selling it now. While she was in the shop, another customer of mine Jack came in. He wanted to photocopy some bank documents and I introduced them to each other. Soon they were talking about loans and credit cards. Miss Tan requested Jack to go over to the bank so that she can process Jack’s application for loan. Jack has been telling me of his intention to buy a house and is looking for bank loans. Upon preliminary assessment of Jack’s income, Miss Tan told him that she can work out something for him.

Well, I am happy for both of them. Glad to be of service to them. Oh ya, I was surprised when Jack told me that he does not have any credit card and he has been using his mother’s supplementary card all these years. It is of late that Jack decided to make proper his income statements. Without proper income statements, he cannot buy a house under his name or apply any bank loans.

credit cards

Anyone interested to get a bank loan or credit card. Call me. I will be happy to serve.

When will I?

When will I be able to cycle to work again? When will I have the time to go to the bank during the daytime? When will I be able to spend time with my mother during weekdays? When will I be able to spend time with my children at home during the weekdays? When will I be able to go out for movies?.... when?

But in all things give thanks to God.

I need to be healthy all the time.

Now that I am stuck here at the shop six days a week from morning10.00am till 1.00am the next day, I need to take care of my health. There is no exercises sessions for me except on Sunday evenings. Furthermore, it is not advisable for me to cycle to work as it is dangerous to cycle back home at 1.00am. What I do not want to happen is seeing my body getting weak and prone to sickness. Falling sick is not an option for me at this time. I do not want to contract any fever, flu, cough or even Community-Acquired Pneumonia. I want to be healthy so that I can provide good service in the shop.

They like my toilet

I noticed a few of my customers make full use of my shop toilet. Even when they are not using the computers in my shop, they would come in just to use the toilet. They should have use the many restaurant's toilets that are available but somehow they prefer to come to my shop and discharge their human waste in my toilet.

Hmm....I should look it in a positive way. I guess my toilet is much cleaner than the other toilets available around here. Yes, I do my best to keep the toilet clean. Dirty toilet gives a bad image of the company. Furthermore, if the toilet is dirty and smelly, it would definitely affect the customers. Haha... I should consider charging a fee if they want to use the toilet only.

No wifey this evening

Wifey is not coming to the shop this evening. Looks like I would not be able to bath today while at work. I hope I don't sweat a lot today. I really don't like being sweaty at work. Makes me feel unclean and uncomfortable. Tried putting up a sign on the door stating that the shop will close from 7.00pm till 7.30pm but the customers still comes in. Even the Malay customers still use the computers during that Buka Puasa time. In the end, there's no break for me to bath and eat. Will have to bath quickly if I am too sweaty. Wifey, wifey where are you?

Completing my study

After many delays, I will finally be doing my SLR student learning requirement in two weeks time. As the subject requires me to share in a group, I was not able to find the suitable time or the opportunity to do my sharing. I am supposed to share on what I have learned from the course and apply the principles in my sharing. It would not be easy as the topic is a difficult topic to apply. It is not something that you can apply everyday. Anyway, I am thankful to God for giving me the opportunity to complete my SLR by this month. And I am hoping to take the final examination for this subject by end of this month too. After that I might want to take another subject from ICI. It is not an online university although I would be glad if they can consider providing online courses.

Mini Lobsters - Don't Eat

Received an email from my brother about MINI LOBSTERS. It seems that these mini lobsters are being served in many restaurants especially Chinese restaurants.

Do not eat these mini lobsters.

These mini crustaceans are literally the garbage cleaners in the sewage treatment plants.

The 'dirtier' the water, the fatter these mini lobsters
become.

Their lungs are full of worms and their flesh saturated with poisonous metals.

Unscrupulous merchants somehow found a way to get these marketed to eateries.

Do not order this dish.
Pass this to those friends who may want to try these mini 'lobsters'.

FYI, lobsters are categorised as "unclean food" in the Bible.

Rainy Days = Slow Internet Connection

This is an unproven theory but it is something that I have observed for the past 2 years. I am not sure of the technical reasons of it. But as a cybercafe operator, I loathe to see rainy days. The Streamyx broadband lines that I subscribed would be narrowband and my customers would complain of slow connection. Mind you, I pay for TWO (2) streamyx lines. So I am seriously considering subscribing to another line. Scouted for alternatives to streamyx but unfortunately there are none available for my area.
Haizzzz..... rain rain go away, come again on Sunday.

Coffee Enema

Have you ever tried coffee enema? Well, I did coffee enema a few years back. What is coffee enema? Well, it is part of a detoxification process where you use coffee as the medium to dislodge and discharge toxins from your body. This is done by inserting a catheter into your anus and letting the coffee enter your anus through the catheter. Then you have to wait for at least 15 minutes to let the coffee do its magic. After 15 minutes make sure you discharge all that you can discharge in the toilet bowl. Well, does it work?

Yes, it works. However, due to lack of patience and the difficulty in getting the coffee, I stopped doing it. If you are thinking of doing coffee enema and is looking for the equipment, check out foley catheters or do a search on coffee enema.

Totally exhausted

Yesterday was very tiring. I was totally exhausted by 11.30pm. Eyes pain and head dizzy. I can't wait to go home and sleep. Then wifey called and asked me to buy Nasi Lemak for her. She had her "mengidam" again. By 12.10mn, I told my customers that I'm closing the shop. Had to remind them again 5 minutes after that. By the time all of them left, it was already 12.30mn. I could not care less to count the money or mop the floor. I was too tired to do all that. I only want my sleep. Switched off all the computers and then off I go to look for the Nasi Lemak, on the way back. Unfortunately, the mamak/malay shop is closed. Reached home, brushed my teeth and off I slumped myself on the bed. Moments later.... I woke up...its already 8.30am.

Remove Blackheads with Egg White

My wife told me that the best way to take out blackheads is by using egg white. Yes, no need to buy expensive facial care products. Just buy one chicken egg. Break the egg and remove the egg yolk. You only need to use the egg white. Another thing you need to have is cotton gauze. Cut the cotton gauze to different sizes in accordance to the location of your face. Soak the gauze in the egg white and paste it on your face. Let it dry. Only when it is dried you can peel it off. The blackheads would also be pulled out with the gauze.

Then don't forget to wash your face.

I hate blackheads

I can’t seem to remember when the last time my wife did a facial on me was. No, I am not talking about the full professional facial session for my face. I am only thinking about putting the peelable masks. It is the one where you peel it off and all the blackheads will come out together with the mask. She did it often last year on her own face and on mine once in a while although she has not gone to any of the cosmetology schools in texas. I too like the feeling of the mask being peeled off from my face and seeing the blackheads coming out together with it. It makes me feel that my face is cleaner. I think I will ask her to do it for me.

Webcam with My Children

Since I am working full day, I don't get to see my children awake except for Annabelle if she comes in my room before she leave home for kindy. The other two woke after I left home. Today I got to see all of them because they woke up early.

If not, before their bedtime, I will have a chat on the MSN video with them. Thank God for the advancement in technology and internet. If not, they might forget how their daddy looks like.

Clarissa is out of kindy

Her mummy decided to bring her out of kindy and drill her at home. She has been to kindy for more than a year but has yet to improve on her ABCs. Only when we drilled her at home she managed to remember it. Furthermore, we were informed that she is not paying attention when the teachers taught the class. After much thinking, she is now under the care of her mummy. And knowing Clarissa, her mummy is going to need lots and lots of patience and love and compassion and willpower to teach her. All the best to you dear.

Investment in gold

With so many changes happening to us in the last 2 months, we have yet to continue depositing into the gold account. With M resigning from her job and staying at home looking after the children, our income has dropped to only 20% of our total income. There are so many things that we have to cut down and investing in gold or buying
gold coins is no longer the luxury that we can afford. Although investing in gold coins is definitely a good choice and one which we would recommend to others, we are limited by our income. And yes, M’s income formed the bulk of our total income. And yes, we have been living on M’s income all this while with me contributing to the household’s expenses only. However, we are praying for God’s providence upon our lives. In God we trust.

No exercises

I wonder when I can get my exercises. Working the whole day definitely robs me of my exercises. I can cycle to work in the morning but I do not think I want to cycle back home as it is dangerous to cycle back home at 1am. Another setback is that I can’t do any form of exercises while working as I do not want to sweat out. I need to bath if I sweat out and bathing is not a luxury that I can afford while attending the shop all by myself. So for now, I hope that I can figure out some ways to keep fit and healthy.

Tough Job

It has been three days that I have to work whole day (from morning till morning). One word sums it up, “tough”. By evening, I would feel tired and it does not look good for my customers to see a tired, non-jovial staff at the shop. I had to keep reminding myself to smile always and try my best to serve the customers. Sometimes it works but many times I forgot to smile. If this continues, it would not be good for the business. I want returning customers. It’s a tough job.
