The world is shouting

Every time the match is on, the world is watching. At every mamak stalls or restaurants where the owner sets up big screen, the customers would flock there to watch their favorite team. And every time a goal is scored, the world shouted. Whether you are watching it at Madison Square Garden or Rose Garden Arena, the atmosphere is exhilarating. The adrenaline rush is worth spending the night out with other football fans. That's the effect of World Cup 2010 and any other WC previously.

It is not just the soccer fans that are shouting during the matches. Other sports fan like baseball, tennis, cricket and other games too would feel the adrenaline rush whenever a point is scored. Buy your baseball game tickets at Yankee Stadium and watch the game there and you will know the excitement of watching a live game. And when a point is scored, feel your adrenaline rush and shout your heart out. The world is shouting.

What people would do?

Do you know to what extend a person will do in order to get the tickets for the premier game or show? Some girls are willing to walk naked in front of their friends just to get the tickets for their favorite band. And no, I have not seen those naked girls and I do not condone such actions. I know it is nice to get myself the Miami Heat tickets but I would never degraded myself to obtain it. If ever I need to find myself a ticket, I would only need to check out premiumseatsusa.com and get the tickets from there. It is not just any game tickets that they offer but also various shows in USA. And please, do not be like those girls who are so desperate and willing to go naked for the tickets. Just check out the website.

Footballers

Since I started playing on this field, I never bring my children until that day. Partly because the field has no shade and the evening is extremely hot.

Since they do not have much to do that Sunday, wifey brought them to the field later in the evening when the sun is going to set. They had fun kicking their balls at the side of the field.

He is back

Philip told me that Mr Wong Kow Fu had came back to Melaka. Mr Wong was a national footballer and is actively involved in coaching young people in soccer. Wow... that is good news. Will be contacting him if he can help out with the RGFC team. Hope he has time to come and train us. Then it would be to the team's benefit to learn from him.

ISLT training postponed

Received a phone call from Philip Devadas. He told me that the ISLT Level 1 training that is scheduled to be held next week had to be postponed to sometime in June. The reason is because the dates coincide with the beginning of school holidays and most of the students would have church camps to attend. As such the dates would not be suitable. Had to inform Andy about it as he is interested to attend the training.

I shoot you lah

There is one game that is catching up in this part of the world. It is the Paintball. Imagine the thrill and excitement of finding an enemy and shooting him down. Yes, that would indeed be thrilling. I have a group of customers in who loves to play Counterstrike. The excitement of finding the enemy and shooting the enemies down is shown by their shouts of joy and frustrations. What more if they can play the real "counterstrike game" i.e. the Paintball. I'm sure it would be a lifetime thrill for them. Maybe I should consider venturing into providing Paintball in my state. I can easily get the paintball tanks, paintball guns, goggles, hats, hoodies and other items from ZephyrPaintball.com. Anybody wants to joint venture? I provide the place, you can provide the capital.

This sports picks is not only for certain games but almost always for all the games. It is a norm to hope and predict the favorite team to win.

Before the big game

It is wonderful to see great team plays in a tournament. The skills and unfettered determination shown during the game inspires many. Many would wish to be able to achieve such skills and achievement. However, not many want to go through the training and long hours of perfecting the skills.

If you ever get the chance to see great players do their training, I would encourage you to go for it. If you love baseball, you should see players prepare themselves during the Spring Training. You can buy the San Francisco Giants Tickets and watch Eugenio Velez in action. Well, let’s hope that even though Velez sustained a "small fracture" in his right wrist, he would be able to play in the Spring Training.

Ankle sprained

During the soccer game on Sunday and in the excitement of trying to get the ball from the opponent, I stepped upon the opponent’s foot. The uneven surface causes my right foot ankle muscle to sprain. Awwwch…so painful. Rest for about 5 minutes before I am back in the game. I even managed to score a goal after that. I thank God that it is not a complete sprained or I would not be able to walk properly for weeks.

Playing Again

Went to play soccer on Sunday. It was great to be able to play again after a two weeks break. The Sunday before, I had to work at the shop so I missed the game. Reached there early before 5.15 p.m.. Unfortunately, the field grass was not cut but that does not stopped us from enjoying the game. There are only about 16 of us at first but that is enough to have a game. Later, a few others arrived and we had fun. We won 5-3.

Badminton in New Zealand

The Malaysian Badminton doubles team Kien Keat – Boon Heong is currently World No 1. However, they were reported as saying that the position is not what important to them. Instead, they are focusing on getting a wining streak throughout this year. Wow…that is a remarkable statement by top elite athlete. It is not easy to be World No 1 when you have to compete with other good athletes from around the world. And it is even more difficult to be down to earth when you are crowned World No 1. Kudos to the Malaysian Badminton Doubles team.

Talking about badminton, there will be the Waitakere World Junior Badminton Championships 2007 from 25 October till 4 Nov. It would be in Waitakere, New Zealand. So, to all the badminton fans out there, this is a chance for you to go for a holiday and still get to see the world’s best at play. Players from Malaysia, China, Korea and Indonesia will be giving their best to claim the championships title.

You can stay in one of the Auckland Hotels. Do not worry about accommodation. There are cheap Hotels in Auckland. If you are not sure where to find one, check out the Auckland Accommodation website.

Show me the shoes!

Not all shoes last forever. My old soccer shoes that I have been using for more than a year finally got torn during a soccer friendly match. The sole of the shoe broke to few pieces due the pressure of my weight while running during the game. Now, I have a new pair of soccer shoes from Bata.

If you play basketball, one shoe that you should consider buying is the the Air Jordans. In basketball Air Jordans are without a viable competitor. Air Jordans are the ultimate shoe for basketball use. Of course there are other good quality shoes like Air Dunks and the Air Force Ones.

And if you are into hiphop dance and looking for cool sneakers, do check out Bathing Apes. Not sure where you can find these shoes. Just check out www.kickstime.com. They do have other shoes like Evisu Jeans, Red Monkey Jeans, Prada Shoes & Gucci Shoes.

Much to be done

Had another friendly soccer match this evening. The score is very disheartening.... 8 to 1. Okaylah... the other team is very good. They scored the first goal in the first minute. Our defenders were still daydreaming when they scored the goal. The other team played well, with teamwork and good passing. These skills are what lacking in my team. Hoping that they will learn from it.

Maybe it is good to stop having friendly match for the time being and let them play for fun first and build up their skills.

Get Your Tickets Easily

There is a difference watching a sports event on television and watching it live at the sports stadium. I once went to watch a soccer match at one of the stadium in the city and the experience was fantastic. We queue for the Tickets and once we are in the stadium, we can already feel the excitement in the air. It is totally different from watching it on television while sitting in your living hall. The atmosphere, sounds, excitement, and the “vibrations” could easily pump your adrenaline high. That is why so many are willing to brave the crowds, traffic crawls and spends extra money just to be at the stadium.

If you are thinking of buying Sports Tickets or Concert Tickets you can check out Viagogo.co.uk, a leading ticket hub in Europe. It is easy to find the events and then buy it online via Viagogo. If given a chance, I would love to watch the final for France 2007 – Rugby World Cup on October 20th. I thought of joining a rugby team when I was in school but there was no rugby team in the school I attended. Now that I am over the age of adrenaline pumping sports, I am contented with just watching others play.

Play better without pressure

Went for the football game yesterday evening. Divided the players into two teams and let them play. Wow... they play better with scores of goals by both teams. Hmm... Wonder why. Maybe they can be themselves without much pressures. And sometimes being themselves is the best in certain situation. Well, hoping that they can be themselves at the next friendly match. Have not yet fix the match but will try and do so after the church camp.

Another football match today.

Today the RGFC will be playing against the football team from Cheng. They are players from the residential area association in Cheng. Hopefully, RGFC will give their best effort and win the game. So far their game have improved a lot and I expect to see better performances from them today. I am not whether I want to play today as I am still feeling a bit weak.

Making ready for the game

The RGFC will have a football friendly match next Sunday. This time it will be with another team from Kampung Bachang. This team consists mainly of the internet cafe customers. They do not have a proper football club but they do play as a team whenever they have free time. It will just be a friendly without any prize for the winner. While waiting for the match day, I might as well play the fantasy football. I might even win a prize if I win.

What is NFL Entry Draft?

I am a sportsman. I am a long distance runner, I am a footballer, I play squash and badminton and I swim. I can say that I am pretty good at all the above mentioned sports. The only game that I have not tried is hockey but I love watching others playing. Can someone tell me what is nhl entry draft? In the website, I saw NFL Entry Draft 2007 and 2007 Top 5 Draft Pick. There are names of teams and players. Hmmm...let me guess. Maybe draft refers to team. No? Let me check the Wikipedia.
A sports draft is the process by which professional sports teams select players not contracted to any team, often from colleges or amateur ranks.
Now I know. hehe. So you hockey fan, check out the website to see which team or players got chosen into the NFL entry draft.

Christlikeness in sport

Played football on Sunday evening. Upon reaching the field, most of the team players have started their warming up. There is a group of Malay boys who requested to play a friendly match with us.

This is the team that played with us earlier last this month. We lost to them by 3-6 at that time. This time we played a better game and the score was 1-1 during first half. In the second half, we scored another goal. Because of that the other team began to play unsportingly. One of the opponent’s players made a remark to Sam, one of our players. Sam replied in the same tone and the atmosphere began to become tense. When the whistle blows signaling the end of the match, the other player began to scold and wanting to start a fight with Sam. We quickly went in to cool down the two players. Things started to settle down but the remarks keep on coming out from the opponent’s player. I had to grab Sam and dragged him away from the opponent’s team. It got worse when about 3 outsiders came to Sam and wanting to pick a fight. Scolded them and asked them to go away. Thank God that no fight occurs.

When the opponent team went back, I gave a short briefing to the team, reprimanding such kind of behaviour in the field. It does not look good for us, a Christian team representing the church to have acted in that way. Though the opponent team player started it first, Sam should have more self-control and not be led to such unsporting behaviour. Asked Sam to apologize to our team members and also to the opponent’s team coach. Then we all went back home.

Pain relief

If you play any outdoor sports you would have experience pain. I play soccer and many times due to harsh play by other players or even because of my own carelessness I would suffer an injury. Or when I failed to have enough warming up exercises before a game, I would suffer cramp on the calves and thigh. Times like that I wish that I brought my pain relief cream with me.

Talking about pain relief cream and if you are looking for one, check out Nurofen Plus. You can use Nurofen Plus for powerful temporary relief of strong pain and/or inflammation associated with:

- Headache
- Tension Headache
- Migraine Headache
- Period Pain
- Dental Pain
- Back and Neck Pain
- Neuralgia
- Rheumatic and Arthritic Pain
- Muscular Pain and Sports Pain

Nurofen Plus works in dual action. It active ingredients, the ibuprofen and codeine provides powerful relief needed when you suffer any of the above. The ibuprofen targets the site of pain locally, and also reduces inflammation and fever. The codeine works centrally to reduce the brain's perception of pain.
