My First Wife

While driving back from the apartment, I shared with my wife about the many experiences riding the bicycle to work. Last week, I cycled to work for the first 4 days while drove the car on the other two days. The motorcycle was left unused. I told wifey that I pity my motorbike, being left unused for so long.

She then remarked that the motorbike is like my wife. Jokingly I told her that the motorbike is my first wife, then the car, then her and now the bicycle. I know that some people do treat their vehicles to that extent, but my wife would still be Michelle Soo.

Spending money in Las Vegas

When you are talking about city of entertainment, one might think of Las Vegas. That is not surprising as the amount of investment poured into the city is tremendous. Rightly so, people would have a wonderful time spending their holidays there, staying in some of the beautiful Las Vegas Hotels available there. I would say that you would definitely enjoy yourself there if you have tons of money to spend.

As for me, the best city of entertainment that I can afford is Genting Highland. Even then, there are many things there that I would not have the chance to enjoy due to limited finance and time. Hmm….come to think of it, I think I prefers to use my money to bless others than to waste it unnecessarily.

Setting up wireless connection

My staff told me that when a few of my customers are playing online game simultaneously, the other customers would experience in a slow down in accessing the net. This would mean that it is time to add in additional internet line to increase the internet bandwidth so that all the customers would be happy with fast internet connection speed. Another option is to provide wireless connection to my customers. If you are thinking of setting up a wireless connection you will be needing a wireless: router, access point (if your router doesn't serve as one) and adapter.

Of course, a fixed cable line is much better than a wireless connection. As such, if you are thinking of playing online games or streaming videos and movies, then you would need 802.11g internet connection and invest in a digital-media adapter. Once you have all the necessary items, set it up and make sure you take time to ensure the computers are secured. You need to set up the NAT firewall setting and also the WEP or WPA setting so that your computers would not easily accessed by other visitors/customers computers. Well, if you do not have any inkling of what I have just wrote, please do not hesitate to pay the computer technician guy to set it up for you.

Working full day

Have to work full day today. Andy is back in National Service for two days. No, he is not after Form Five student. He is there as a trainer. And he is called up to teach the trainees in the camp three times a year. Or in this case, he is called up because there are not enough trainers to teach the syllabus. And when he is not around, I would have to work full day. It can be very tiresome.

Effect of petrol price increase

The rise in petrol price has indeed affected us is many ways. Firstly, we have to spend more a month for transportation. Secondly, most of the shops are increasing their products prices which translated to higher monthly expenses. Thirdly, we decided not to buy a new Proton Persona car. There are many other effects of it which we will only feel in a month or two. We also have no extra money to buy gold. Yes, we were thinking of investing in gold but with the current changes, we have stopped buying for lack of money. I am sure when God continue to provide for us in various other means, we will be able to invest in gold again. As for now, we will have to trust God in providing for our monthly needs.

Mother not sleeping at night

Over the last few weeks Mom has not been able to sleep at night. I've seen her awake, sitting in the living hall, doing nothing physically, lost in her own thoughts. When I approached her and asked her why, she just smiled and said that she could not sleep. She would stay awake until almost dawn and then only she would fall asleep.

Though this does not happened everyday, it is still a concern to me. I wished and pray that she would be able to sleep at regular time and that her health would not be affected by these sleepless nights.

Bulging protruding tummy

I don't like the sight of my tummy. It is not nice to see a bulging protruding tummy. It is just not healthy to carry a burden in front of me. A lot of people are talking about dieting. Mostly ladies lah. When I go out shopping, I noticed that most of the people are getting fatter. You can see lots of fat people now. And you can see bulging, protruding tummies which is really an eyesore. I really need to cut down on the amount of food that I take every meal. Also thinking of starting back fasting a day each week. Zzzz.... what must I do to obtain flat tummy.

Repainting and cycling

After much delays and postponements, we finally repainted our cars. My old Mitsubishi Tredia has been repainted with grey colour metallic coated. My wife’s old Toyota KE30 red car has been repainted with light orange pastel colour. It costs us more about RM3K to get it done, which included the cost of welding the various parts of the cars that are rusty. At least now, we do have a “presentable” car to drive. Earlier, we were thinking of buying a new Proton Persona car but in the end we decided not to. Now that the price of petrol has increased and Michelle is no longer working, we thank God for not allowing us to go into further debts by buying the new car.

Now, I will try to cycle to work. Yes, it was unthinkable to do that a few years ago. The distance is 11km from my house but it is now a norm for me to cycle to work. Yes, I did it, I did it. Now, I do not have to think about Car Radiator though I have to think about my safety while cycling on the road. One thing for sure, the roads in Malaysia are not bicycle friendly.

Increasing the prices

Thinking of increasing the price of the drinks that I sell at the shop. No, I am not doing it just because others are doing so. I am thinking of increasing the price because the cost has increased. Yes, the supplier has increased the price of the drinks by about 10% of the cost. And here I am, still selling the drinks at the same old price. That means my profit has gone down. If the supplier keeps on increasing the price, I would have no other choice but to increase the selling prices too. As much as I want to help my customers, I have no other choice but to do it. Business can sometimes be "cruel".

Scratching where it is not itchy

There was once a anthropologist who went to a tribe to study their culture and language. He was aware that there was a missionary that went to that group and had minimal results in reaching out to them. While the anthropologist was talking to a group of the tribal people, he asked them the question, “Why is it that you all did not believe what the missionary told you?” After a long silence, the leader of the group finally told the anthropologist. “Well, it is like he is scratching where it is not itchy”.

Fulfilling the needs of the person is important before we can reach out to them. Well, the needs may not only be for food, water or shelter but it could also be the issues of life. It can be about the challenges of living everyday and it can also be about spiritual issues. Most people would look to the church, temple, mosque or monasteries if they are seeking help in spiritual matters. If you have thought of “I Want a Better Marriage” then you are having a “itch” that needs to be scratched. I would suggest that you find an Emergent Church to find the answers to that need.

I would advise that you Find a Church in Rancho Santa Fe if you are staying in Santa Fe and find the solutions that you need for your “itchiness” in life.

Zenni Optical

It is time for Clarissa to go for her eye check-up with the optometrician. We do hope that her eyes would get better now that she is wearing her spectacle. We bought the spectacle at the optometrist shop. At the shop there are many types of spectacles including the Incredible Stylish New Frames From Zenni. There are Variable Dimension Frames From Zenni that we can choose from but we need to make sure that it is suitable for Clarissa. The range of Zenni Optical $ 8 Rx Eyeglasses are very attractive which I would definitely consider if I want to get a new spectacles.

Good health is a great asset

One of the best supplement products that I have tried is the Usana products. Yes, I am not lying and this is not a gimmick to sell the products. I’ve tried it and I am fully convinced of its benefit. And it is really important for me to have a daily supply of multi-vitamins supplement which include anti-oxidation and detoxification effect. I need it because I am exposed to radiations from computer monitors everyday. If there are only one computer then it may not be so bad, but I’m exposed to more than 20 computers everyday for 8 hours a day. I know I need to protect my body from this danger of radiations. That is why I trust in God and in excellent proven track record products like Usana.

Unfortunately, not many doctors are aware of these excellent Usana products. Some are even marketing low quality herbal products to their patients. If any of you are taking prescribed drugs for medication, you should consider checking out drug guide for iphone. Do not simply take any drugs without knowing the full implications or side effects of it. Yes, no doubt the doctor would have known about the drugs’ side effects, but he might not inform you all the side effects that you might be experiencing. So better be well informed rather than being confused. Good health is a great asset.

A new backpack for me

Went shopping yesterday with Miche. We wanted to go for a movie just to celebrate Miche being out of job. While at Mahkota Parade, I remembered that I need to get a new backpack as the backpack I used while cycling is torn and cannot be used anymore. So we headed toward the various shops there. There is a few sports related shops in Mahkota and we went to Sports Station.

There are various sports accessories like Puma, Adidas, JanSports, Nike and many others. Well, I am not a fan of any of the brands as my main consideration is the price. If the price is low and the quality seems good, I will buy. However, the Puma backpack that we saw is quite expensive though it is of good quality. We almost went out buying nothing when someone tapped Miche’s shoulder.

We were indeed surprised to see our church member and later being informed that she is the manager there. She offered discounts and managed to persuade us to buy the backpack. Well, much to our surprise again, the backpack is on “Value Buy” promotion and the price is much lower that the discounted price the manager can give us. Furthermore, it is within our budget so we bought it. Then off we went to watch “Wanted”. Oh ya, since Miche is out of job, the Nintendo and the treadmill would have to wait.

I did it, I did it - Part 4

Yes, I did it again this morning. So nice and I felt so good. I made sure that I slept early last night so that I would have enough rest and enough energy to do it this morning. My wife already awake when I woke up. After the shower and a glass of Quaker Oat for breakfast, I took my bicycle and cycled to work. Yes, I did it. Hope to do it everyday if the weather permits. So far, it took me about 37 - 45 minutes to reach my shop. It is about 11km from my house so I would have cycled 22km to and fro. Praying that the weather would not be hot or raining. Would ask my companion the Holy Spirit to protect me from harm and harsh weather conditions.

Yes, I did it, I did it.

Trading in shares

It is interesting to see various people coming into the shop and use the computers. Most of them are students who would play games, surf the net or do their assignments. Generally, the boys would play games, the girls would surf the net. Only during certain times, they would come in and do their assignments. Of course, chatting on the net is their favorite thing to do.

There are a few older customers who come in to check the stock market. I am not familiar with the websites that they logged in to check the share prices as I am not into buying or selling shares. Maybe if there are many more customers who are into trading shares and they want to use the computers in my shop, I should consider adding in option screener program as an added service to my customers. I’m sure they would be delighted about it.

I did it, I did it - Part 3

I didn't do it for two days already. Haizzz...I really miss it. Circumstances doesn't allow me to do it. Will be looking forward to it. It is like I am addicted to it. And once addicted, am looking forward to get it again. Now I know how the addicts must have felt when the urges start coming back to them. Must do it next week lah. Really miss it.

I did it, I did it - Part 2

Yes, I DID IT! I DID IT! AGAIN.

Wah... I'm so happy. I did it again. This morning as I was lazily trying to wake up, my wife ask me, "Are you going to do it again?". Not sure whether I am up to it. Told her, "Not sure, feel tired lah". My mind kept on asking whether I should do it. She said, "You told me you are going to do it today." I looked at the time, it is almost 9am. Not sure whether I do have the time to do it.

Anyway, I managed to get up and she helped me to it. And I DID IT! I DID IT AGAIN... LOL.

zzzz.... Now I am feeling the aching. But I am very happy lah. Satisfied

Studying nightmares

I had my nightmares again lately. No, it is not about ghosts or evil spirits stuffs. It is about being in school or campus again. Always, I would dream of being a student and I had to sit for an exam paper like History, or Law but I was not prepared at all. Wah... that was scary. The funny thing is that I never had the scary thoughts while I was in campus or in school. It is only when I am working that these thoughts, these nightmares started to happen. But thank God I woke up and realized that I am no longer in campus thus no need to go for any exams.

I wonder if things would be different if I had taken online college courses instead of studying four years in campus. Well, maybe it would but then I am not sure whether I would have graduated at all, knowing my lack of discipline in studying. Whatever it is, I have to make sure I complete my second degree by end of next year...hopefully.

My first mountain bike Le Run Avatar

This is what I bought from my petrol rebate, Le Run Avatar mountain bike, inclusive the mud-guards. Costs a bomb RM640. I pray that I will use it as often possible.

Kill two birds with one stone. One is to reduce petrol consumptions thereby reducing my expenses. And secondly, to get fit and health. If it is not because of the health reason, I don't think I will made the decision to buy this bike.

He is cute

My wife likes him very much. He looks so cute. I can agree to it. And she even went to see him once and then a few times after that. He is much younger than me, shorter and got baby face look. He has attractive looking smile. My wife went to see him to get her hair done. And also to give Barnabas a hair cut. He is the hairstylist operating two doors away from the cybercafe. I always see him walking past by my shop and dropping in to have short conversations.

Most of the time he will talk about his skills and business while I do the listening. He did mentioned that he has 7 years experience working in KL. However I did not recall him mentioning which hair schools that he attended before he embarked into hairstyling business. If you are in Malacca and looking for a good cute man to cut your hair, check out Mo Style Hairstylist at Taman Bachang Utama, outside of Giant Hypermarket. His name is Iven Chang.

My first bicycle exercises

Woke up at 8am today. Yes, it is that early...hahaha...early for me lah. Normally I would wake up at 9am as I need at least 8 hours of sleep a day. Anyway, even though with lack of sleep I managed to force myself to get up. The main reason is that I want to exercise. Yes, I badly in need of exercise. My body is getting weaker for lack of exercises.

Since I already got my bicycle yesterday, I decided to go for a ride to the beach which is exactly 3km from my house. Really not sure whether I can make it. The first few minutes are okay. Then my leg started to feel the acid lactic but I pressed on. I pressed on and on and on and on and..... at last I did it. Reached the beach and then turn back home without stopping to rest. And I pressed on and on and on and on and on and on....whoa the journey seem further on the way back. But I pressed on and on and at last I reached home safely. It took me about 35 minutes to cycle 6km. Yeah... I did it, I did it. Felt good over my achievement.

Now I am planning to get myself fit again and then maybe I will cycle to work which is about 11km one way.

Health investments

All of us will have some form of insurance. Okay, let me correct myself. Most of us would have some form of insurance. Most would have at least one personal insurance and maybe one or two medical insurance card. We want to be protected financially in case something bad happens to us. However, not all diseases can be treated easily. Those that can be treated sometimes cost a lot of money which unfortunately may not be sufficiently covered by the insurance policies. Genetically-related diseases are much more difficult to treat where you need to have the right compatible donors.

Aware of this difficulties, most parents are thinking of storing the stem cells of their own and their babies for future "insurance" against future health risks. Check out Cryo-Cell Innovative Stem Cell Solutions and Cryo-Cell Innovative Stem Cell Solutions for further information on this issue. And if you are convinced of investing in your family health for the future, check out the Cryo-Cell's "Protect Baby, Protect Mom" offer that they have.

Please answer my questions

Wifey told me about her friend's experiences with her doctor. Her friend has many questions to ask the doctor about her baby and her health condition. However, when she asked the doctor her questions, the doctor seemed very reluctant to answer her questions. Her friend was quite upset with the doctor's reluctance and attitude. It is not that she did not pay the doctor. In fact, she has paid quite a big sum of money to the doctor for the treatment. It would be reasonable for the doctor to answer all her doubts and questions. That is one of their responsibilities, making sure that their patients are well informed of their health conditions.

I am not sure why the doctor reacted in that manner but one possibilities is that the doctor do not know the answers to many of the questions put forward by wifey's friend. Due to lack of information or meaning lack of knowledge, the doctor would not be able to give a satisfactory answer and this definitely would not look good for him. I'm sure if the doctors make the effort to keep themselves updated with the advances in medicine, they would not have any problems giving satisfactory answers to their patients. If they do have a PDA they can apply for free medical blog widget and be updated with the current medical information. We want doctors who are not only qualified but also well aware of the advances in medicine so that we can have the best options available to us. So doctors, please keep yourself updated all the time and please try to answer all our questions. We can turn to nobody else.

Still haven't got my rebate yet

I know many people have gone to collect the petrol rebate of RM600+ from the post office. The papers reported that many people queued at the post office as early as 7am to get the rebate. Well, I do not want to judge people but I feel that they are really "kiasu" to do that. Maybe they scared that the government would change the ruling and they would not be able to get the money. No doubt there are many people out there who could use some extra money and this rebate is indeed a blessing to them.

As for me, I would only wait until all the "hoohahs" have died down and there is no long queue at the post office. I prefer to do other things rather than wasting my time queuing up. Maybe I will go this coming Friday.

No exercises last week

I was looking forward for the football game last Sunday. However, that did not materialized. After church service I received an SMS from my brother telling me that the football game was canceled. It was such a disappointment as I was really looking forward to my 2 hours of exercises. Now I can feel my stomach getting bigger and fatter. Haizz.... must really do some kind of exercises within these few days.

Server down means stress

I would not be surprised if many people have the thoughts that working in an internet cafe is very easy. It is actually not true. Working in the internet cafe does not mean that you just sit in the counter all day long and play with the computer when you are free. Well, to a certain extent that is what you would be doing but that is not all the things that you are supposed to do. There are a lot of things that can create stress while working in the internet cafe.

The most stressful time is when the server broke down. This could be due to the program itself or the computer is having problem. I experienced this problem a few times and I always feel stressed up when that happened. Without the server, it is so troublesome to control the other computers. I thank God that most of the times, the problem could be rectified in less than half an hour. Even then, I hope it would not happen always or I might have to consider taking kava kava drinks.

Cell Stem from you

If you were born 50 years ago, you would not even hear about cell stem. Maybe only the scientists would have thought about cell stem and the advances in technology. Now, the researches in cell stem have progressed tremendously. The benefits of cell stem research are many. Two major beneficiaries of cell stem research are the medical industry and the cosmetic industry. Among other diseases that can be treated using cell stems technology are Alzheimer's, Autism, Autoimmune diseases, Anemias, Blood and Liver Disease, Bone and cartilage deformities, Brain tumors, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Leukemias, Muscular dystrophy, Cancer, Stroke and many others.

If you know that you are in higher risks of contracting any of these diseases, it would be good if you do consider cell stem storage. You do not have to go through risky operations to have your cell stems harvested and stored. The good news for ladies is that it is even possible to harvest cell stem from women menstrual. You can read about it on All About C'elle. If you are interested to have your cell stems stored you can do so by clicking on Celle Order Now link on the website. The good thing is that you can even Become C'elle Distributor if you find that it has benefited you or if you are more of the business minded person.

Refined as gold

"A CRISIS always brings out the best or worst in human nature. What a person does or says in reaction to a calamity is a true reflection of his or her character."

Found this phrase from The Star paper today. How true and apt it is as I reflected on the situations that is happening in the past week. Each one has a choice to make. I am also reminded of the verse that says that it is from man's own heart that his words reflects. And another verse which says that the tongue has the power of life and death. And yet it is very difficult to tame the tongue. With the tongue we praise our God and with it also we cursed man; this should not be so.

It is very easy to react negatively to a circumstance that is against us. That does not take any courage or strength to do. It comes naturally. But it takes a lot of energy, strength, will-power and courage to do the opposite, to react positively, to humble oneself, to show love despites the hurts that is still cutting in our hearts. Such a man is rare to find. To be able to show Christlike love despite the hurts we received. As Jesus looked at the soldiers and people who sentenced Him to the agony and pain of the cross, He asked His Father to forgive them for they know not what they are doing.

Have I achieved that character? Well it is still far on the horizon but I am pushing myself to walk towards it. It takes lots of strength and will-power but I want to do it. I want to stand before my Maker and after being tested, to be able to stand victoriously and refined as gold.

PERSONAL PERCEPTION

Different people have different perception. One man's meat could be another man's poison. A couple bought a donkey from the market. On the way home, a boy commented, "Very stupid. Why neither of them ride on the donkey? "Upon hearing that, the husband let the wife ride on the donkey. He walked besides them. Later, an old man saw it and commented, "The husband is the head of family. How can the wife ride on the donkey while the husband is on foot?" Hearing this, the wife quickly got down and let the husband ride on the donkey.

Further on the way home, they met an old Lady. She commented, "How can the man ride on the donkey but let the wife walk. He is no gentleman." The husband thus quickly asked the wife to join him on the donkey. Then, they met a young man. He commented, "Poor donkey, how can you hold up the weight of two persons. They are cruel to you." Hearing that, the husband and wife immediately climbed down from the donkey and carried it on their shoulders.

It seems to be the only choice left. Later, on a narrow bridge, the donkey was frightened and struggled. They lost their balance and fell into the river. You can never have everyone praise you, nor will everyone condemn you. Never in the past, not at present, and never will be in the future.

Thus, do not be too bothered by others words if our conscience is clear..

I want this and that

Human nature. Always want to have things. Always want to buy this and that. Natural tendency for us to want to own something, anything. Right now, what I want is a new computer. Yes, that's right. I want a new computer for the house. The present computer that I am using is the old version Pentium 3. Yes, I know.... it is outdated but hey, I'm being honest here. An internet cafe owner and yet I only have a Pentium 3 computer at my house. What a shame.

Okay, it is not as bad as you think it is. My wife has a laptop which she bought about half a year ago. So we are not so outdated as it seems. The problem is that I would be using the laptop to play my online game and she was "forced" to use the old computer. She is complaining and asked me to get a new computer. She wants to get a new laptop while I prefers a new desktop. Time to go check out ShopWiki.com. Why ShopWiki.com?

Everytime you want to buy something new which costs a lot, you normally would seek other people's opinion and advice. Well, that is what you can get with ShopWiki.com. Read the guide and compare the products that you are looking for. Now, I only need my wife to give her consent to allow me to use her Paypal money to buy the computer. That however, would be a huge task to undergo.

Have I got it before?

My daughter Clarissa is down with Chicken Pox. The once so lively and mischievous Clarissa is now a bit mellowed down. She will be scratching her itchy spots on her body and with the fever, she is not that active as before. Sigh.... it is no joy to see my daughter in that condition. The doctor said that it is not so bad for children to have Chicken Pox compared with adults. She will still be able to be active even with the Chicken Pox. Well, at least that is good news.

But I am not sure whether I had contracted Chicken Pox. I can't remember having it before. Wah... if I haven't then maybe I would be contracting it now. Well, if I got it then I will have to go through it lah, whether painful or not is another matter. Better to get it now than when I am 60 years old.

Gold Coin or Gold Savings?

This is the question that I asked myself when my wife and I discussed about investing our money. Maybank do offer gold coins for people to buy. At first we thought it would be better for us to buy gold coin as we would be able to have and keep the actual gold in our house. No, we do not have any safe-box in our house. Haha... my wife said that maybe we can hide the gold bullion under our pillow. Then we will sleep on a golden pillow...Wow!

After much thinking and also for convenient sake, we decided to go for the gold savings with Maybank. It is much easier that way. We received a gold savings book where we can keep track of our gold purchases. The good thing is that when the price of gold increases, our investment also increases. Hoping to invest more in the future.

If you ever need to export your valuable equipment, you might want to consider portland export crating. They are the expertise in this field. With portland crating services, you can be rest assured that your valuable equipment will reach its destination still intact!

They have the expertise and experience to solve even the most difficult and challenging custom crating and packaging needs. With portland crating, if you have high tech products, their do have shock resistant crating to moisture barrier crating and packaging systems for shipping your most valuable equipment.

If ever I need to move my business oversea, and can’t get all my computers sold, I might just bring them over. I will inquire about this with them if ever the time comes and the needs arise.

Ant & The Grasshopper

Got this beautiful story cum analogy from an email. Hope everybody can learn from it.

Older Version
The Ant works hard the withering heat all summer building its house and laying up supplies for the winter. The Grasshopper thinks the Ant is a fool and laughs & dances & plays the summer away. Come winter, the Ant is warm and well fed. The Grasshopper has no food or shelter so he dies out in the cold.

Modern Malaysian NEP Version

The Ant works hard in the withering heat all summer building its house and laying up supplies for the winter. The Grasshopper thinks the Ant ' s a fool and laughs & dances & plays the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering Grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the Ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving.

TV1, TV2 & TV3 show up to ! provide pictures of the shivering Grasshopper next to a video of the Ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.

The majority of the Malaysian Parliment stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this be that this poor Grasshopper allowed suffering so?

Khairy stages a demonstration in front of the Ant 's house .

Nazri goes on a fast along with other Grasshoppers demanding that Grasshoppers be relocated to warmer climates during winter.

Most of the related people criticizes the Malaysia Government for not upholding the fundamental rights of the Grasshopper.

The local news paper & the Internet is flooded with online petitions seeking support to the Grasshopper (many promising Heaven and Everlasting Peace for prompt support as against the wrath of God for non-compliance) .

Deputy minister immediately passes a law preventing Ants from working hard in the heat so as to bring about equality of poverty among Ants and Grasshoppers.

Hishammudin makes 'More Special Reservation ' for Grasshoppers in Educational Institutions & in Government Services.

The Ant; fined for failing to comply with 30% sharing and having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes; its home is confiscated by the Government and handed over to the Grasshopper in a ceremony covered by maju ---------.

Prime Minister announces to the whole Malaysia that this is part of the NEP and all have to respect, no question ask and have to follow it.

Many years later

The Ant has since migrated to the US and set up a multi-billion dollar company. 100s of Grasshoppers still die of starvation despite reservation somewhere in Malaysia because of loosing lot of hard working Ants and feeding the Grasshoppers, Malaysia is still a developing country!!!

All bcos the ANTS are still doing their work.............................

40 years difference

When I was a 20-something college student, I became quite friendly with my study partner, a 64-year-old man, who had returned to school to finish his degree. He confessed, with a wink, that he had once thought more than friendship might be a possibility between us.

"So what changed your mind?" I asked him.

"I went to my doctor and asked if he thought a 40-year age difference between a man and woman was insurmountable. He looked at my chart and said, 'You're interested in someone who's 104?'"

Wah...I'm blessed

After weeks of mooting the idea for her to cook flower crab dish, she finally did it today. I'm blessed by it.

Though she claimed that it(the dish) is a disaster as the gravy is burnt, I still enjoyed eating it. No lah, it is not really burnt and if it is not mentioned I would not notice also. Anyway, it is delicious.

Thank you dear for the treat. Love you.

Delaying?

Things to Do:

1) Do up the partition for the office room which costs about RM1K.
2) Buy another 2 more PC for the shop which costs about RM3600.00

4) Buy a car which will cost RM46K
5) Repair the roof for the store which will cost about RM2-3K

Vacation for ourselves

My wife told me that we would not be planning for a holiday any near future. We felt so tired after going for two holidays within two months. I guess the holidays are more for the children than for us adults. We spent more energy looking after the children than to enjoy ourselves. I told my wife that if ever we really want to enjoy ourselves during a holiday, we have to go there without our children. Alternatively we can go when the children are much older and can look after themselves. That would be like another 15 to 20 years down the road and I don’t think we want to wait that long. Maybe we will plan to go for Las Vegas vacations without the children and try to have the time of our lives there in Vegas.

Maid To MIL House

Since Mother won't be around and wifey and I will be working in the morning, we can't be leaving the maid alone at home. So we have decided that the maid will be staying at MIL's house until wifey comes back from work, that is at 12noon. Then she will follow wifey back home after the children had their lunch.

Mother Leaving To KL

Bro Cheng and Enso Yen supposed to go to Langkawi end of this month with Bro Ann and family. Mother will be going along too. Since Enso Yen just went for an operation, they canceled the trip. Unfortunately, no one will be fetching Mother to Bro Ann's house.

Since Bro Chuan is back this weekend, Mother will followed him back and stayed with them until the day of the trip. So, we won't be seeing Mother until next month then!

Don't want to go home

Every time we brought our children for a holiday, they would really enjoyed themselves and would not want to go back home. They so enjoyed the rides they experienced in Genting Highlands that they are asking us to bring them there again. We too enjoyed the rides in Genting but I think the best time for us is the time spent at the warm water pool. Then at the Tiara Beach Resort, the same thing happened. The children so enjoyed themselves at the Children Corner that they do not want to go home. I am sure if my wife is able to get discount Disney World tickets the same thing would happened in Orlando. The children would definitely enjoyed themselves and would not want to go home. But home they must go for I love my sweet bed and pillow more than going for a holiday.

Cyst Operation

A week ago, one of my SILs went for an operation to remove the cyst in her womb. During the scan, they found 1 cyst and told her the cost is RM5k to remove it. During the operation, the doctor found 3 cyst instead of one and they charged her RM9k for all 3.

What people would do?

Do you know to what extend a person will do in order to get the tickets for the premier game or show? Some girls are willing to walk naked in front of their friends just to get the tickets for their favorite band. And no, I have not seen those naked girls and I do not condone such actions. I know it is nice to get myself the Miami Heat tickets but I would never degraded myself to obtain it. If ever I need to find myself a ticket, I would only need to check out premiumseatsusa.com and get the tickets from there. It is not just any game tickets that they offer but also various shows in USA. And please, do not be like those girls who are so desperate and willing to go naked for the tickets. Just check out the website.

Footballers

Since I started playing on this field, I never bring my children until that day. Partly because the field has no shade and the evening is extremely hot.

Since they do not have much to do that Sunday, wifey brought them to the field later in the evening when the sun is going to set. They had fun kicking their balls at the side of the field.

5 years old

Happy Birthday Annabelle. You are now 5 years old already.

Daddy loves you very much. Don't ever forget that. Be a good sister to Clarissa and Barnabas. And always trust in Jesus Christ.

Let it benefit the people

The Star wrote an article about the Malaysian Government and TM investing about RM15.2B to expand the broadband services in this country. I gladly welcome this move by the Government and sincerely hope that such project would not be delayed. While countries like Korea provide broadband service that is up to 1000MB to consumers, Malaysia generally provide from 1MB to 4MB to its consumers. Such vast differences and yet we boast of our Multimedia Super Corridor. What is the purpose of having such Super Corridor when the people does not benefit from it. Being an internet café operator, I would love to provide VoIP phone systems services to my customers but with only 2MB bandwith, I really have to think many times. I prefer not to provide any services if the services offered will not be to what the customers expected it to be. So for now, I will just wait until the broadband service here is upgraded to a higher bandwidth.

Not her genes

Annabelle being cheeky and playful said this to her Mommy.

Annabelle: Mommy, you so crazylah.
Mommy: Yalar, if you say that then you have a crazy Mommy.

Daddy: Yalor Annabelle, thank God that you have more of Daddy's genes. If not, you be crazy too.

LOL. Then the Mommy attacked the Daddy."Help! Help!". Thank God Annabelle came to the rescue.

My favorite food now

My favorite food now has changed from Sambal to Tomyam noodle. I love to go to Ban Loong Chinese & Western Cuisine in Pulau Gadong and eat the Bihun Tomyam.

The gravy is thick and you can really taste the sour taste of the TomYam. If you are in Melaka and wants to try out the Tomyam, let me know.

Good advertisement

I received the magazine today. It is full of advertisements. It is interesting to see what other businesses are advertising or promoting to the public. It is also another way for me to find the necessary services or products at a discounted price that I need for my shop. Most new shops would advertise their promotions in the magazine. It is indeed a good way to promote their business. It is through this magazine I heard about Dr Fish and we will be going there next week to check it out.

Every city would have their own magazine and if you are in Denver and wants to know more about Denver, check out Denver magazine. It is a good way for you to know what is happening in Denver. Oh ya, if you are interested to join me in exploring Dr. Fish, do let me know. But you have to come down to Melaka lah.
