Shops are closing.

No, not my internet cafe shop. Just last week the owner of the handphone shop (two lots beside my shop) came and mentioned to me about his business. He opened his shop a month later than my internet shop. And it has not been a year yet. He told me that business started to be very slow after the Chinese New Year. And he has been holding on to that business, making losses for 5 months already. Even though in the shop he also sells clothes, that too is not making money.

I have suspected that many of the shops there are not making profits, especially the handphone shops. There are so few customers during the daytime nowadays, now that the foreign workers are becoming less and less. One nearby factory has already closed their operation and all the foreign workers were transfered to another state. Many other factories are also minimizing the number of their foreign workers. These contributed to the slow sales of our business. Even my business is affected as the Vietnamese workers who frequently come to my shop have been sent back home. I wonder whether the income would be better if these shop and mine were to put up vendstar vending machines in our premises. Since these vending machines can generate up to 80% profit, it would definitely be of help to our business income. Furthermore there are many children from the nearby residential area that would love to buy from these vending machines.

Be watchful lest ye also be tempted

In the past I often wonder about this verse in Galatians 6, "Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted."

I often wonder what kind of temptations that the restorer should be watchful. Only recently did I experienced this verse. In the internet cafe I have installed porn filter. However no filter can filter each and every website on the net. Furthermore there are P2P programs that would not be affected by the filter. And the customers will be using these P2P program to download songs, softwares, and videos. When I come in to work at night time and do some computer maintenance, I would come across the pornographic files downloaded by the customers. This is when the above verse is a reminder. I would be tempted to see or watch the videos that have been downloaded. Though I may be spiritual but I am not exempted from temptation.

I really need to watch myself lest I also be tempted to download the videos.

Garage Cabinet for my wife!

Wife has been pestering me to replace the wooden kitchen cabinets at home because a few of them has mold on it. Those cabinets have been around for many years now and I think it is time to change them. I am a practical person. Vessel for noble purpose

Read 2 Timothy today. Paul in his letter exhorted Timothy to be steadfast in the faith and ministry. He also mentioned about how vessels being set aside for noble and ignoble purpose. He exhorted Timothy to choose and be like the vessels that is set aside for noble purpose.

That makes me wonder about my life right now. Is my life set aside for noble purpose? Am I consciously and unconsciously and purposely set my life for God's noble purpose? In truth, there are still so many things in my life that have yet to be thrown away to make it ready for God's noble purpose. Lord........ ... .. . . . . . . .

Expanding business.

I been thinking of how to expand the business and making full use of the space in the shop. Well there are so many possibilities and also so many challenges to come with it. I have thought about selling computer hardware and accessories at the front space of the shop. I am also thinking of selling cookies and hot drinks, making it a mini food-café. Then there’s the original plan of renting out the front portion of the shop. The main challenges now are lack of capital and time.

Sometimes I wish that Multivend have a business office here. Then I would be able to expand and diversify my business by adding the multivend vending machines in my shop. Since there are youngsters that come to the shop, these vending machines would be of interest to them. Cold weather makes me sleepy

It has been raining in the past few days. The temperature is a bit cold. I normally does not like cold weather. Reason being that I would catch cough easily when the weather is cold. Another reason is that I would be inactive when it is cold. My body would be lethargic and inactive. Feel sleepy most of the time. And though I sleep, it feels like it is not enough. It is the kind of sleep that makes you even more sleepy.

Magazines for the girls

Some of my customers bring their girlfriend to my internet café for dating. No, they did not sit at corner to talk sweet nothing to each other. The boyfriend plays online game and the girlfriend chit chat with each other! Poor girl. Too bad there are not into online games if not I can generate more income. Hehehe.

I am thinking of getting some magazines for the internet cafe. For the girls read to pass their time while waiting for their online game addicted boyfriend. Mother's medical follow up

Sent Mother to the hospital this morning. The appointment was for 9.00am. Had to bring Barnabas along as MIL is still in Kuching. Upon registration and paying RM5.00, they found her medical report and asked us to wait for our number to be called. I think this is just a procedural blunder that the hospital has made. Mom had been discharged on the last visit. However, it was not recorded in her medical report. As such they called her to come again so that the doctor would make a proper discharge note on her medical report. Such a waste of time and money.

Upon seeing Mother, the doctor just prescribed more vitamins and paracetemol, which is not needed. He also recommended Mom to go see the "tukang urut" in the hospital. But mother does not want to because she to make further appointments for that. After taking the medicines from the pharmacy we went back.

Learning should never cease

It has been said by many people that we should get knowledge wherever we are. The mind is also like a muscle, the more you use it the stronger it becomes. Just as we need physical exercises to keep our bodies fit and strong, we also need exercises for our brain. I have known a few old people who are very much active, alert and sharp in their thinking. Mind you these people are in their mid 70's and yet their brain works even better than mine.

One of the ways is to play strategic board games like chess. Of course there are online strategy games that will also help to stimulate the mind. A quick search on the net and you will see a list of strategy games that you can play. However, I know that to read books is much better than to play games. Reading books will expand your mind to other thoughts and imaginations that you would never thought of on your own. It is more like reading the minds of other. Whatever you choose to do, be it play a game of chess, online game, reading a book or start an e-learning course, the point is that keep your mind active and alive. If you do that then hopefully you will keep Alzhemier away.

Gangsterism and drug addiction

Wife came back and told me about one of the former church member Q. She said that another lady SL mentioned that Q’s son has now joined a gangster group. When SL informed Q about her son, Q denied such allegations saying that her son is a good boy. Looks like Q is very ignorant about her son. Sometimes ignorance can make us blind to the fact. And many times people are afraid to face up the fact that there is something wrong about their love ones. Such is the case above.

I have known Q and her son for a few years. They have been joining our care group while I was in the same church. It is indeed very sad to hear of such news. The boy is definitely a bright boy. Now I am not so sure what will happen to him. It seems that the gangster group would require every of its members to fail in the studies and have tattoo marks on the body. They also require certain amount of money called protection money.

Wife also told me that her brother was also approached by a gangster group to join the group. However, he refused to join even though most of the group members are his friends also. If he joined the group back then, I wonder what he would become today. Maybe he would not be a technician today. Maybe he would not be married and have two lovely daughters. And most probably he would be involved in drugs. Most of the gangster groups are involved in drug trafficking and some of the members are drug addicts. Unfortunately for these group members, even though they are addicted, the group would not help them at all. They would be kicked out from the group and no longer under their “protection”. These drug addicts would have to get drug addiction treatment on their own. In most cases they will only go for treatment when they are caught by the police and sent to a drug rehabilitation centre.

I do hope and pray that Q's son would not end up as a drug addict and will get out of the gangster group immediately before it is too late.

Christlikeness in sport

Played football on Sunday evening. Upon reaching the field, most of the team players have started their warming up. There is a group of Malay boys who requested to play a friendly match with us.

This is the team that played with us earlier last this month. We lost to them by 3-6 at that time. This time we played a better game and the score was 1-1 during first half. In the second half, we scored another goal. Because of that the other team began to play unsportingly. One of the opponent’s players made a remark to Sam, one of our players. Sam replied in the same tone and the atmosphere began to become tense. When the whistle blows signaling the end of the match, the other player began to scold and wanting to start a fight with Sam. We quickly went in to cool down the two players. Things started to settle down but the remarks keep on coming out from the opponent’s player. I had to grab Sam and dragged him away from the opponent’s team. It got worse when about 3 outsiders came to Sam and wanting to pick a fight. Scolded them and asked them to go away. Thank God that no fight occurs.

When the opponent team went back, I gave a short briefing to the team, reprimanding such kind of behaviour in the field. It does not look good for us, a Christian team representing the church to have acted in that way. Though the opponent team player started it first, Sam should have more self-control and not be led to such unsporting behaviour. Asked Sam to apologize to our team members and also to the opponent’s team coach. Then we all went back home.

The cost of progress.

All of us would love if the world is like the Garden of Eden in its pristine and unspoiled environment. Of course nobody ever known how it is like to be in the Garden of Eden but we tend to imagine it to be the best environment the world has ever seen. Indeed it should be because it was just newly created by God before sin was committed by man. Since then the world continue to change. If you would ask me whether I would want to go back and live in the ancient times, my answer would definitely be NO. The main reason is that I am used to the environment and progress that is happening in this century.

There is my car that I can use to travel far. There is the air-conditioner in my room that I can switch on when the weather is too hot. There is the telephone that I can use to call my friends or family members whenever I want to. Definitely I would not have all these in the late 19^th century. All this is because man have made tremendous progress in science and invention.

I read with much interest the article ran by Chicago Tribune about a BP Factory in Whiting, Indiana. Well, I did not live in Whiting nor have I been there but the news would have far reaching impact on the Americans and the world generally. The article mentioned about BP Factory discharging sludge into Lake Michigan thus will endanger the lives of not just the birds and aquatic life but also the people staying there. If this is true then it would indeed a tremendous wrong done by BP. BP Factory respond that the facts in the article are misrepresented and have issued their own facts about the matter.

Here are some of the facts mentioned by BP in their response to the article: -

Only treated water into Lake Michigan. What is released from our refinery is treated water that is more than 99.9% water — not sludge. All sludge is treated separately, according to state and federal requirements, and never discharged into Lake Michigan.

Well within legal limits A new water discharge permit allows the refinery’s average ammonia discharge to increase, but at levels that will still be less than half of those that federal environmental guidelines could allow.

No harm to people or the environment. We follow state and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines that protect aquatic and human life.

We certainly need the fuel generated by BP or any of the oil companies. And in order for them to produce the gas we need to live our lives as comfortable as we want it to be, they would need to expand their operation. Of course with the expansion there would be more waste produced but it is a necessary “waste”. If it is done within the limits govern by the law, then it should not be an issue at all. I just wonder whether human should stop having more children because of the shit and “waste” that children would produce. Definitely NO. We just need to learn to control and manage such waste.

Stroke Identification

During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Ingrid's husband called later, telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00pm , Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE

S * Ask the individual to SMILE.

T * Ask the person to TALK & SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (coherently, i.e., It is sunny out today).

R * Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

NOTE : Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out their tongue. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other, that is also an indication of a stroke.

Dating for the fit

I remembered my youth days and at times wished that I would still have the energy, stamina and strength of my youth. Now that I am already approaching half time of my life, all those seems to slowly depart from me. I know that I must keep myself fit not just for the soccer game that I play every Sunday but also for my health sake. It is a wonderful feeling to know that your body is really fit and full of stamina and strength.


I was a fitness freak when I was young. I would maintain a schedule of exercises that I need to do every week. And I exercised at least 4 times a week. I was what they call one of the buff guys. Just a look at my body and they think that I do weightlifting which I do not. If I know and if I am bold at heart back then I would have tried out the fitness dating. Then I would have met girls who are also fitness freaks. Anyway my wife was also a sports girl and we enjoyed our jogging and running sessions at the beach. Well that is another story in another post.

Coughing at bay

Had a bit too much durian and the body is very heaty. Then I failed to drink a lot of water during the day. When I went to the shop the coughing begin to show its signs. Oh NO... warning... warning...

Immediately took some precautions.

1. Drink and drink and drink lots and lots and lots of water.

Most of us are more at ease meeting and mingling with our own group of people or culture. Like me, I am a Chinese Peranakan. I have a mix Chinese and Malay blood. Going up level

I has reached level 35 in my MoSiang online game. Not an easy task as the computer and broadband service gets disconnected often. Furthermore with the rainy weather, the internet line would always have problems. And every time there is lag, the character will die and reduce it's experience level. And it would take another 2 hours to get back to the original experience level. Not an easy game to play. Have to compete with other players for the best spot in any map. Another nightmare

Had another nightmare again. While still sleeping together with Barnabas the nightmare came.
I'm still in campus. Surprisingly, my two best friends in school are with me. There is also another girl, Rina, who always get first in primary school is also with us. In the nightmare, they were busy studying at the secondary school canteen (yes, school canteen but already in campus. I also don't know but it is a nightmare, anything can happen). I look at them and I became very afraid. I didn't study at all and the exam is near. Argggghhhhhhhhhhh.

How on earth can I pass my exams!!!!! Can I get work later on after varsity?????. Fear gripped me.

Then I woke up. Slowly my mind reminds me of reality. I already finished varsity and now has a business to run. PHEWWWWWWW. Thank God.

Love letter

I know what it is like to be in love. It is a wonderful feeling to be in love and to love someone. But sometimes it can be painful too. No… I am not talking about the pain of being ditched by the other person. Awh… being ditched is really painful. But I am talking about the waiting part. Waiting to be with the person you love. Waiting to see her face, the head unconsciously keep on turning to the back to see whether she has arrived. Waiting to hear the phone ring, hoping for her to call. And every time the phone rang, the heart seems to stop for a second.

And yet there is another waiting that is painful but is worth enduring. It is the waiting for the love letters to arrive in the mail box. The heart will leap for joy upon seeing the familiar handwriting on the envelope. Sometimes, the fragrant smell of the perfumed envelope ensures the heart the love letter has arrived. Along with other bills and letters received as the result of subscribing to the buy lists of various promotions, the love letters is the main attraction.

Salt rock.

Wifey received a call from one of the company's supplier. She said that she is already at the internet cafe with the salt rock. Wah... it was just a few months ago we were discussing of getting a salt rock or ionizer for the internet cafe. It is said that the salt rock can reduce the harmful ions produced by the computers.

Now the salt rock is besides me. Hopefully what the people say about the salt rock will come true. Better health for me.

Lost gracefully

Went to play football as usual on Sunday evening. The day earlier, my brother who is the Manager for the RGFC came to the house for a visit. We discussed a bit about the football team Suggested to him to introduce Christian values and principles into the club practices. Told him to start with prayer before every game.

We did that on Sunday. He prayed with the team before the warming up session. Then we played. I arranged the good players to be in one team while my brother and I joined the weaker team. We played and lost 10-1. Nice game. Though lost but we are satisfied with the performance of the team.

Well, the challenge is simple and very attractive. If any of my guild members can achieve real combat skill BEFORE I get my second real skill, I will give him 1,000,000 Mo Siang dollar. This should be attractive as most of them have higher combat skill compared to my other combat skills.

A challenge to my guild members

hahaha.... last night I dueled with my guild members. No... not with real guns like the cowboy style but in the online Mosiang game. LOL.... I won all though I am not the strongest. There is still another guild member who is stronger than me but yet I still can win him... YEAHH.

As leader of the guild, I had to find ways to motivate my guild members. Sometimes I need to give them advice on how to handle conflict with other players from other guilds. Sometimes they will turn to me for help and I will try and help whenever possible.

But most of them are still low level and I need them to be higher lvl and stronger. So now I decided to give them a challenge. What is the challenge? Let u know in another post lah.

Letter of appeal to Maybank

Yes.. decided to send a letter to Maybank. Appeal letter requesting the bank to cancel the TOD and interest charged to the joint current account. Hopefully, it won't take long for the bank to answer YES. Coz I am not expecting any other answer from them. If the answer is NO, then Maybank will receive another letter from me... to close the account.

Ahh.... now I can use my car.

The white car has been at the porch for a few days already. But I need to use the car on Friday. So had the battery recharged on Wednesday. Since I had to do some banking transactions, Michelle had to take half day leave to take care of the children. Did all my banking transactions first before sending the car to the mechanic. As expected, the alternator is the main culprit that the battery went dead. The mechanic suggested to change the alternator. Since the alternator is already being serviced a few times, I decided to change to a new one.

Now, it is already fixed. Already can use the car. Hopefully and prayerfully it would not cost any problems.

I bought a Rolex in Cambodia

Two years ago I went to Cambodia for a mission trip. For souvenirs, I bought for my wife silver bracelets and a Rolex watch for myself. It is very cheap in Cambodia. Well, of course it is not the genuine Rolex! How on earth can we afford a genuine Rolex watch! It is the cheap imitation Rolex watch. Well, after two years, the watch that has already shown signs of wear and tear. I wanted to get a new watch but I just could not find the time to go out and buy one. Maybe I’ll just buy online. I did that before. Buying watches online.

Opening a new current account.

After much thought, we went to Hong Leong Bank and opened a joint current account. The Branch Service Manager is our friend and because it is also convenient for me to do banking there. As I have my business account there at the same branch, it would definitely be easier for me as I need not have to go to two different bank to do my bank transaction.

The students are back

Well, there is good news for my business. The college students are back from their holidays. A few of them started to use the computers today. Hoping that more will come back. Indeed, it is a good sign for my business. Last month has been very slow. May God bless the business this month.

Cheap Magazines

Now that I am always online, it is no longer necessary for me to buy magazines or newspaper. Of course, when I am out of the internet cafe and got time to kill, I will buy the newspaper and browse through it. I still prefer to go online and read the news as it is cost me very little compared to buying the actual newspaper. And I need not go out to the shop to read the newspaper, everything is done online.

The same goes for magazines. It is much cheaper for you to subscribe for the online magazine than to buy it monthly. The additional benefit is that you can actually copy the articles that of your interest and save it in your computer. Selling Mo Siang ID

Been playing Mo Siang online game for quite some time already. Now already reached level 34. It is an interesting game and I met a few friends in the game. But because of the time constraints that I'm facing now having to look after the children during daytime, I can't really play and level up that character as fast as I wanted. So I was thinking of selling that character ID.

1. Lvl 34
2. A GuildMaster with 10 members currently. The guild is at level 3 leadership which entitles you to enlist a maximum of 15 members.

4. The character has already reached one real skill for Wu Long combat skill. Planning for the second real skill Fon Chi combat skill. Now it is still at lvl 9.
5. Already bought one Combined Skill Ze Sin and it is currently at lvl 4. Intending to buy another Combined Skill Po Huan.

Daddy, that's wrong.

Prepared the milk for Annabelle.

"Father, thank you for the milk. Amen" I prayed before giving it to her. She was already ready lying on the bed covered with her comforter as her usual habit. She must have the comforter before her milk and sleeping time.

"Daddy, that's not correct", Annabelle said to me.

I was surprised to hear that and looked at her, wondering what is it that is incorrect.

"Father, thank you for the milk. In Jesus' name. Amen", she continued.

LOL... shame on me. Didn't pray correctly.

Gold Colour Pencil

My eldest daughter asked me this question recently,

“Daddy, can you please buy for me gold colour pencil?”

“Huh? Gold colour pencil? Daddy does not have that much money to buy you a gold colour pencil. If you have money, you give it to Daddy. Daddy will buy for you.” I replied.

“No, Daddy, I want the gold colour. I want to colour my princess hair. She must have gold colour hair because she is a princess.”

“Oh, I see. Since you are Daddy’s princess, can Daddy colour your hair gold?” I teased her.

“Hmmm, let me think… Yes you can.”

Back to normal body clock.

Now that I am "forced" to sleep early so that I can take care of Barnabas in the day time, I am hoping that my body clock will return to normal in a few days time. Will need at least 6 hours of sleep at night and maybe can catch a short nap during the day time.

Taking care of the children

Wah... not so easy to take care of the children the whole day. Today the first day MIL is away in Kuching. Last night I could only sleep at 3pm because the customers stayed on until 2.15am. Today, had to wake up at 8am because Barnabas is awake by then. Wifey sends the two girls to kindergarten while I had to look after Barnabas. Still sleepy but then had to jaga my boy. By 10am he showed signs of sleepiness. Bathed him and then gave him milk. I thought he could fall asleep all by himself, as he usually does in the evening. Suddenly, I heard him crying. Went inside the room and saw that he vomitted all the milk that he drank. Had to change the bedsheet, pillow and towel. Bathed him again as the vomit is all over his face.

Then he don't want to sleep until about 11am. By 12.30noon, the two girls and the mother came back.

Wah... if this continues on, sure not enough sleep for me.

Buying a car

The past few weeks have been filled with many incidents about the two cars at home. Somehow or another, both of the cars gave us problems. At first the red car could not start. This red car has a history of "unable to start". We realized that if we did not use this red car for one whole day, then it would not start the next day. Then we would have to recharge the car battery and the cycle continues. Also, if there was heavy downpour and the temperature is colder than usual, the red car could not start. That is the trend for the red car.

The white car, which I use to go to work whenever there is a downpour or when the red car could not be used, also has a history of "battery problem". Everything seems fine and working well when suddenly, the car could not start at all. Send the battery for recharge and it would be fine for a while. Now the white car is there at the house, waiting for me to have time to send it to the mechanic. But first, I need to send the battery for recharge before I could start the car.

Whenever we faced the car problem, we would be thinking about buying a new car. Both our cars are more than 20 years old. Yes, I think most would ask us to buy a new car but we are a bit reluctant to incur much debt when the business is still not stable. Maybe we will consider buying a second-hand car which is less than 3 years old. Buying Used Cars could be a good option for us who does not have much to spend monthly. We can actually search the database of all the used cars for sale in www.buyyourcar.co.uk. Maybe we will find a model to our liking.

Teaching My Daughters to Read

I babysit my children in the afternoon every other day except Wednesday and Friday. So how did I spend my time with them? Most of the time, I let them play by themselves. I tried teaching them reading but to no avail. "Daddy, you are not a teacher." My eldest would say when I tried teaching her. She is quite left behind in her class due to it. I need to find reading tutor for her. Anyone know any good reading tutor around that is as good as those reading tutors at SCORE!?

Game and the real life.

Most people think that you are a different person when you play a game, be it online game or any game for that matter. Well, after playing online game for more than a month, I find that that thinking is not 100% true. More often than not, the person's personality and character are shown in the online game. While playing MoSiang online game, I came across many players with different attitudes. At first I was just thinking that maybe it is for fun the player acted in certain ways but the more I am into this game,the more I believed that the real person is portrayed in the game character. His or her attitudes are shown clearly in the game. Well, the same goes for me. What I want my game character to be most likely portrays my real character. I'm sure many who play online game would agree with me.

Teaching Math

Someone asked me, "Have you ever consider becoming a math tutor?" "Hah??? Me? Why me?" I asked in my surprise. "Because you have so much patience which I believe math tutors should possess." he replied. I, may be a very patience guy but teaching Math??? You must be kidding. I love nature. I love Geography not Math. You asked me to teach Geography, anytime but Math, go asked those math tutors from Score. They are the expert. :)

Selling business.

Thinking about selling my cc business. Anybody interested? Well, you may ask me why. Its because I'm thinking of opening at another place. Or maybe go full time blogging... lol. My wifey has been pestering me to go full time blogging. Well, if and if the business is not doing well for another 3 more months, maybe I'll sell the business. I know of another place where the prospect is much better. Anyway... lets see how lah.

Twinkle twinkle little star.

"... How I wonder what you are!" Yes, I do wonder about the stars. From my naked eye, the stars look small, just a tiny dot of light twinkling in space. When I was a child, I would dream of going up flying among the stars. Now I know more about the stars. Though practically, it would be impossible for me to reach a star in a space rocket, maybe in my dreams it could be done. Anyway, in dreams, the stars are not big hot blazing planets but just tiny cold dots which I can go near. I often used the binoculars to gaze at the stars. Though not so clear, but at least it is much better than the naked eye. Wanted to buy a telescope the other day for my children but I put it on hold first. Will scout around to find the best telescopes so that it will be worth the money. I want my children not just to be able to sing the song "Twinkle, twinkle little star" but also be able to see and know what they are singing about.

Daylight Robbery by Maybank

Many people may have experienced what I experienced but most of them can't do anything. This is not surprising because the ROBBER is the largest bank in Malaysia. Yes, Maybank.

Facts: -

1. June 27, 2007 - I received a call from Maybank Malim Branch officer saying that my current account was short of money. She asked me to bank in RM150.00 to my account before 10.30am. Upon checking my current account online, I found out that the shortage was only about RM78.00. I transfered RM80.00 from my saving account to my current account.

2. June 28, 2007 - I went online to check my current account. I did this to check whether my tenant has banked in the rental money. To my surprise, my account was charged RM50.00 with the code TOD*O. So my account was again in shortage of RM48.33... owing to Maybank.

3. June 30, 2007 - My account was further charged RM5.00 as interest charged for the money RM48.33 owing to Maybank. I think the interest rate charged is much higher than the illegal moneylender. I had to pay RM5.00 interest (3 days after I was so called "owe" RM48.33 to Maybank).

Questions: -

1. What is the purpose of having customer service department when the service is not customer friendly but more of the purpose to get money from the customer? Please provide free or at least reasonable charge for services provided.

2. Can a phone call that is less than 2 minutes cost RM50.00? I think there must be something wrong with Maybank phone charges.

3. Most probably the RM50.00 is the penalty for the shortage. Even if that is the penalty, would the shortage for less than an hour cost RM50.00. This is DAYLIGHT ROBBERY by MAYBANK.

4. Do Maybank knows how to count interest? I think NOT because if Maybank knows how to count interest rate, the interest charged for the RM48.33 owing to them would not amounted to RM5.00 (for only 3 days owing).

What lah... right now I'm really refraining myself from cursing Maybank. I emailed them about this matter and asked Maybank to cancel the TOD and interest charged. Will wait for their response on this matter. If they are not customer friendly, I will just close my bank account with Maybank.
