It has always been a target or goal of many websites to be on the top ten rankings in the net. However, being on top of the ranking does not necessarily guarantees high returns. I was browsing through one website optimization firm website called ThinkBigSites.com (TBS) and found this interesting quote by Marc Arner, one of the Managing Partner.

How true this is! At the end of the day, it is the sales/returns/income that matters. It is definitely not worth spending lots of money to be on the top ten rankings on the net if the website is unable to generate incomes to make profit for the company.
