Merdeka celebration in the game

Mosiang online game also celebrated Merdeka Day. Yes they actually do. They say that there will be firework display at Lo Yang town at 23:55 oclock. So all of us players went there to observe it. But we waited and waited and waited but still no fireworks. We waited until 00:15 but still no fireworks. We all got fed up of waiting so we just went to other maps to play. I did not get to see the fireworks and still not sure whether the fireworks was shown or not.

Okay... HAPPY MERDEKA DAY... MALAYSIA.

Gold coins

When I hear about gold coins, I remembered my MoSiang online game. In the game the character would get gold coins whenever they kill a monster or sell items. Right now I have about 4M gold coins. However, all these are virtual gold coins. I do wish that I would have the real gold coins.

And when I hear about real gold coins, I will think of Monex. They sell various precious metals which include gold, silver, and platinum. These precious metals can be bought in different forms such as in bar and bullion form. Many people buy these precious metals as a form of investments. If you are interested to buy gold coins, check our Monaco Rare Coin. Some people buy these gold coins not for investment purposes but for their own collection. If you are interested, check them out.

Yahoooooo... 2nd real skill

Yahooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.........

I bought lots of Kylin woods and ginseng for my Mosiang character. Needed that to rejuvenate so that I can use my Fon Chi skill continuously. That is one way to get real skill fast. And it works.... Yahoooooooooooooooooooooo... I got my 2nd real skill in just 2 days.

Now, I can concentrate on my blogs more... (abit more lah, not totally) and prepare for my sermon which is long overdue.

A gift to you

My wife wants a laptop. Told her that it is better to buy a desktop rather than a laptop. The reason being that she just need a computer at home. If she have to use it everywhere she goes, then a laptop would be a better choice. Since she does not need to use it outside the house or the office, a desktop would be a much better option. There are so many heavy duty tasks that she can do on her desktop which a laptop would not be able to do efficiently.

Of course when buying a computer I would definitely look for a good deal. And this is where the online coupons from CouponChief comes in handy. They provide lots of varieties of online coupons. There is a big deal for HP HomeStore for its Pavillion series computer. Maybe a gift for my wife for her coming birthday or coming Christmas. If she does not want a computer, there are many other online coupons for other products like Jewellery Television or SkinStore.

Car sound fixed.

Sent the white car to the mechanic. The problem: - everytime there are passengers in the car, it (the car, not the passenger) will have sound at the back left side of the car. The mechanic said that the spring or the mounting is the problem. He changed the mounting and now there is no more annoying sounds from the back of the car. Charged me RM50 for it.

Maybank refund back the money

Received a note/letter from Maybank. Finally, after more than 1 month of waiting, Maybank agreed to refund the "excessive charges" of RM50. However, they did not waive the RM10 interest charged for the outstanding amount of RM50. Hmm... really cekik duit orang. I was already about to inform them to close the account when the letter came. Now that they agreed to cancel the charges, I think I'll just continue using the account. Anyway... still got the unused chequebook for that account.

Still no real skill yet

I already finished my "Fon Chi" skill. It is nice to know that anytime now I will get my real. It could be today or tomorrow or this week or next week or in two weeks time or next month. Well, it is very unpredictable. I am hoping that I will get my 2nd real skill as fast possible. Then my focus will be to up level until level 40. That will take some time but I am not putting any target date yet.

Furniture to make your home

Wah.... so many to choose from. Well that is my first impression when I visited this website http://furniturefromhome.com . Well the website itself is simple and that is good to me. There are not many categories of furnitures listed so it is quite easy to browse through the website and see all the collections of furniture listed there. There are the Bedroom Sets, Living Room Sets, Dining Room Sets, Home Office Furniture and Leather Furniture that you can browse through. In fact, if you have a new empty home, you can get all your furniture from this company. The only important thing lacking is the information about the company. Yes it does provide a little bit of information but I think it is quite insufficient and may cause customers to doubt the reliability, competency and trustworthiness of the company to deliver the products.

Having said that, another good thing about the website are the photos. They did not just show the bed itself but a photo of the bed nicely arranged... more like a showroom photos. They do have Storage Beds and Dining Room Furniture too. Even if you do have an office at your home, you need not worry about finding a suitable furniture for it. Check out the bar stools that they offer as they have various choices to fulfill all your needs. I am surprised to see the various designs that are for sale. Wished that I can buy all of them but then my house would not have space for it. I have not mentioned about their wall unit entertainment centers sets which really got my attention. I would recommend this website to you.

Racing for the 2nd real

If you do not understand the above, do not worry so much. I am talking about the MS game. I already have one real skill spear "wulong". And now I am training to get the second real skill spear "fonchi". Now it is at level 11 at 70%. Hoping to get the 2nd real by early September. Not easy lah to get real... hard work.. or should I say ..hard play. After I get my 2nd real.. I will push to go up level until level 40. Now still at level 36.

My garage

Would I tile my garage floor? At the moment I think it would not be possible. The main reason is simple, I will need to tile my living hall floor first. That would be a higher priority. Only and only when I do have the money then only would I want to have garage floor tile. Oh...by then I would also want my compound to be fully cemented, at least the front portion of my house compound.

Brokenleg

Met one guy from Sarawak in MS named brokenleg. Chinese guy but can speak Iban. Spoke to him in Iban... not bad lah. Spoke to him in Jako Iban, trying to brush up my lapuk Iban. It was fun.

Name: brokenleg
Place: Sibu, Sarawak
Ethnic: Chinese
Status: Single guy
Occupation: Studying in college
Habit : reading.

Okay... will add in from time to time once I get more info.

Tutoring and my nightmares

I think I have shared before that my nightmares are slightly different from others. My nightmares are not about ghost, ghouls, or monsters. Neither it is about losing the one I loves nor about somebody trying to kill me. My nightmare is about still being in school or in the university and the examination is around the corner. It is about me not being ready to take the exams while all my classmates or course mates are busy preparing and ready for it.

No, I am not a bright student either in school or in university. If fact I do not like to study at all. While I am in my secondary school, my worst subject is Chemistry. Of course, I do not like Mathematics too, especially Additional Mathematics. Despite it all, I can proudly say that I have never taken any tuition for any subjects. No, no tutoring at all. The main reason is that I cannot afford to engage any Tutor for myself. Of course, at that time there is no Online Tutoring also. I wonder where if there is online tutoring at that time, would I be doing it online. Most probably not as I cannot afford to buy any computer at that time.

Oh… back to my nightmares. I am not so sure whether it is a psychological problem about studying and my nightmares but I am sure it is related. I wonder if I had put lots of effort in my studies in the university there would not be this kind of nightmares. Well, the good thing about these nightmares is that when I woke up, I know that I graduated and have my own business to run. Not so bad lah.

Debt Relief

More and more people are getting themselves into debt now. Even myself! I have 2 home loans to pay and one personal loan. But thank God my apartments are rented and the rental money is enough to pay for the monthly installment. The personal loan is from my Christian brother who does not pressure me to return it back in short period of time and even does not charge me any interest for the loan. I do have credit cards but I spend only what I can pay by the end of the month when the statement comes. My wife is quite spendthrift with her income too. She manages her income very well. But not every one is blessed with a “rich” brother, a good pay master tenants and a spendthrift wife.

Some of them will go all out getting their hands on every credit card that they can get and spend to their limits. Then every month they work their butt up paying for the credit card’s interest only. It seems like they will be in debt forever and ever.

However, there are ways to get Debt Relief. One of the ways is through Credit Card Consolidation. Consolidate all your credit cards in one loan and pay to only one finance company instead of many.

Website Optimization Firm

It has always been a target or goal of many websites to be on the top ten rankings in the net. However, being on top of the ranking does not necessarily guarantees high returns. I was browsing through one website optimization firm website called ThinkBigSites.com (TBS) and found this interesting quote by Marc Arner, one of the Managing Partner.

"Marc believes that high web rankings are only a small part of the puzzle. He puts an extreme emphasis on "Website Productivity". You will often hear Marc say "What good is a top ten ranking if your site is not producing?"

How true this is! At the end of the day, it is the sales/returns/income that matters. It is definitely not worth spending lots of money to be on the top ten rankings on the net if the website is unable to generate incomes to make profit for the company. There are many small businesses out there that are largely under served and TBS aims to fulfill that role of serving these small companies. TBS is not just a website optimization firm but also high level website designers and marketing specialists, a combination that would ensure their client's website be on the right track to producing results and most important of all, income. Do check them out.

Rain rain go away

It was not raining at the shop when I closed it. Though I can see the lightning on the far horizon, I did not expect it to rain. And it did not rain all the way home except the last 1 mile from my house. The unfortunate thing is that I did not drive my car to work but use the motorbike. It was raining very heavily at my house. By the time I reach home, I was all wet.

My long pants are totally drenched. My wallet too got wet but only the outside is affected. Thank God that the handphone did not get wet as it was covered by the leather jacket. And my comfortable BHP watch too got wet. Upon reaching the house, I decided it is best to take a shower... though it is already 3am.

Safety precautions for servants of God

If we are reading the news lately, we will know about the Korean hostages in Afghanistan held by the Talibans. Violence is still violence and a sin whether you do it in the name of Allah or in the name of Taliban or in the name of Jihad or in the name of Freedom. And killing hostages just because you want to frighten the other party into releasing your friends must never be condoned. I am following the Korean hostages news and praying for the release of all the hostages by the Taliban.

Talking about traveling and serving in difficult and dangerous areas like Iraq and Afghanistan, it is always good to have a travel agency that knows your missions and needs. The Golden Rule Travel is the travel agency that assists people who are answering God's call to go and proclaim the Good News. Run by former missionaries, pastor, Bible college instructor and a former child-care worker, the Golden Rule Travel understand your needs because these people have been where you are. Whatever or wherever your missionary travel flights would be, it is always good to have the service of people who have done what you will be doing or is doing now.

Mosiang Game money

Well, well, well... what do you know. Today, one of my customers came and asked for Mosiang money. Yes... he wants to buy Mosiang money. LOL.

Earlier, when he and a few of his friends started playing Mosiang, I told them that I am selling Mosiang money. One million Mosiang money for RM10.00. You see it is difficult to get 1M Mosiang money when you just started playing the game. Normally, only when you reached level 28 then you would have started to be able to save and reach your first 1M mosiang money. And to reach level 28 is not so easy... it takes time. In a way, it is a good investment for him, it will make his game a lot easier and faster too.

So far, I've made RM50 selling Mosiang items. And I didn't come out a cent for Mosiang game. Will keep on selling whenever they want it.

This is good news

It is always nice to hear about environmental friendly inventions or efforts made by big companies. While the world has already beginning to suffer the consequences of global warming with more floods, famines, storms, typhoons and freak weathers happening all over the world, efforts to save the world's environment is much welcome. How I wish that every energy suppliers in the world would follow the footsteps of British Gas in focusing on green energy and follow it fast. Then, and hopefully then, we would still have a better world to live in the future.

Press Release:

BRITISH GAS LAUNCHES GREENEST ENERGY TARIFF

9 August 2007: British Gas has announced it is launching two new green energy tariffs, Zero Carbon, which will be the greenest tariff available on the domestic market and Future Energy. British Gas has launched the tariffs, in response to the increasing demand for green energy products.

Householders signing up to the Zero Carbon tariff will:
• reduce their household energy carbon emissions to zero through Kyoto compliant offset schemes which will meet the new Defra requirements
• help fund a direct increase in investment in renewable energy generated in the UK
• contribute to the new British Gas green fund which will:
o invest in developing new renewable technologies such as wave power
o oversee a programme to help schools in the UK reduce their CO2 emissions

Gearóid Lane, Managing Director British Gas New Energy said,”Our new tariff responds to consumer demand for truly green energy solutions. It is essential that customers have confidence in green energy tariffs and that their credibility is not damaged by tariffs that claim to be green but in reality do not deliver any incremental environmental benefits. Green tariffs are moving from niche to mainstream products and we’re leading the industry by offering a tariff that will do more for the environment than any other product currently available.”

Under the government’s Renewables Obligation (RO), electricity suppliers in the UK are already required to produce an increasing percentage of their electricity through methods such as wind farms which, unlike traditional power plants, produce zero carbon emissions. For 2007/2008 this figure is set at 7.9%.

In a recent report, the National Consumer Council (NCC) raised concerns that some energy suppliers are packaging electricity which is produced under the RO scheme as “green”, yet it delivers no additional environmental benefits. The NCC called on energy suppliers to take steps beyond their legal requirements and offer green energy tariffs that provide genuine additional environmental benefits, in particular CO2 emissions reduction.

British Gas worked with Global Action Plan and The Climate Group’s “We’re in this Together” campaign to develop Zero Carbon which goes further than any other green tariff in meeting these requirements offering consumers the only zero carbon option on the market.

The tariff carries a premium of £84 per year, reflecting the higher cost of producing energy through lower carbon emission schemes.

Virginia Graham, Chair of Global Action Plan, said, “The British Gas Zero Carbon tariff delivers on all three of the essential requirements of a green tariff which are: additionality, transparency and verifiability. As such it is a very welcome new offering in the market. Consumers signing up to the tariff can be confident that they are getting 12 per cent more renewable energy than they would otherwise have got. The carbon emissions from their electricity and gas will also be offset with emissions reductions from projects accredited by the United Nations.”

Zero Carbon is one of the first initiatives launched through the ‘We’re in this Together’ campaign, which was launched in April 07 as an alliance of some of the UK’s biggest brands who are all working to help their customers reduce their impact on the climate.

Dr Steve Howard, CEO of The Climate Group and founder of ‘We’re in this Together’ said, “We’re committed to offering people ways to make a real impact on climate change through Together.com. We’ve worked with British Gas to ensure that Zero Carbon is a genuine step forward in delivering more environmental benefits than any other tariff currently available.”

British Gas’s second green energy tariff, Future Energy, offers an alternative green electricity tariff at a premium of just £20 per year. Customers signing up to this tariff will contribute to a green fund which will provide solar panels and other renewable energy technologies to UK schools. Money from the fund will also be invested in development of future renewable technologies and sources.

To sign up customers can call British Gas on 0845 604 0055 or visit www.britishgas.co.uk

Modern bedroom

Confession time. Ask yourself, where is the most untidy place in your house? I guess and I know most of the time my guess is correct that the most untidy place in your house would be your bedroom. More so if you have children sleeping in your room. A sleeping place and also a playing area for your children will definitely make your room untidy most of the time. I know because that is what my bedroom has become. Yes, my wife and I do our best to keep it tidy but it will be untidy again the next day. Sometimes we just let it be untidy for awhile before we do our mini “spring cleaning”. Hahaha….easier to do that way. Sometimes I wish that I would have a bigger spacious room.

I found a modern bedroom setting and furniture that I like. The colors are light, similar to peach in color. And the setting of the bed and other furniture makes it warm and cozy. The furniture is arranged in such a way that makes the room look spacious. It is also very practical in that there are no unnecessary cupboards or shelves that will take up space and collect dust.

Best deal for your car insurance

Last week I went to renew my car insurance policy at the Post Office. It is for the red car that my wife is using. The red car is over 15 years old but still in good sturdy condition. I guess most old cars are still strong and solidly made, not like the new cars that do not last long. In the past, I did not concern myself about the types and from which insurance policy that I should buy for my car. I thought the Automobile Insurance Policies by all insurance companies will be the same, so it did not matter to me to choose the best and cheapest insurance policy. That day, I was enlightened about Better Car Insurance Rates.

The Post Office clerk told me, “You can Lower Your Car Insurance if you switch from your current insurance company to another one.” I was very surprise and of course that is good news to me. Without much hesitation I bought the much cheaper insurance policy. So I advise you all to check out and compare the various Insurance Coverage for Cars and get the best deal for your car. Do not be ignorant like me.

Looking for legal assistants

Received another call from the lawyer friend in Muar. He says he urgently in need of a legal assistant for his legal firm. He asked me whether I would help him out by working for him. He sounds desperately in need of a few legal assistants. Seems that one of the LA is resigning, another one is going for further studies and another one is going for maternity leave in December.

Last July, he made the offer to me and I declined it. Now, I have another day to pray and consider the second offer. My mind is a bit more open to the offer now compared to the previous time. I say "abit" because of various factors involved. Firstly, I have not been getting any salary from the business for the past 2 months. Secondly, I do not like the feeling of living on my wife earnings. Yes, my wife earns and supports the family all these time.

Of course there are many factors that are against accepting the offer. These are (not in priority order) distance to office, traveling everyday, old car, different body clock, learning back the law, going back to the court, dressing smartly, no time for the family, children had to be with MIL and SIL (not a conducive environment), no more interest in law, and others lah.

Oh ya, I have already gave out the news that I would like to sell the business if there are interested buyer at a reasonable price. The business is doing okay, the only problem is that I do not have a salary. The income is enough to cover all expenses (including a staff's salary). Hoping to sell the business at 80K. If there are people who is willing to buy, then I will sell it.

If this happens, the chances of me be more willing to go back to practice law is higher. But the business is not sold yet, the children's babysitting arrangement with MIL should not be changed within the next two months, and I still not ready yet to be a lawyer again. Well, I still enjoy doing computer stuffs, hopefully with a salary lah.

p/s.. any of you knows anybody who wants to work as a lawyer (legal assistant) in Muar, do let me know.

Worldwide Survey gone wrong

A worldwide survey was conducted by the UN.

The only question asked was:

"Would you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the shortage of food in rest of the world".

The survey was a huge failure..... ... Do you know WHY?

* In Africa they didn't know what 'food' meant.

* In India they didn't know what 'honest' meant.

* In Europe they didn't know what 'shortage' meant.

* In China they didn't know what 'opinion' meant.

* In the Middle East they didn't know what 'solution' meant.

* In South America they didn't know what 'please' meant.

* And in the USA they didn't know what 'the rest of the world' meant.

Credit Card Search Engine

If you are like me that ensure that my credit cards are paid by the end every month, then you would not have many problems. There are times when due to busyness and forgetfulness (signs of aging), the credit cards are not paid up. Then there will be calls from the credit card companies or banks requesting me to pay up as soon possible. And if somehow we are not able to pay on time for whatever reasons, I would end up having to pay for the penalty or interest charged.

And if these go on for many months, you would have bad credit status, information that unfortunately credit card companies and banks keep and do share among them. It would then be difficult for you to apply for another credit card because of your Bad Credit Credit Cards status and history. However, if you want to search, compare and apply for any types of credit card offers, you can checkout CreditCardSearchEngine.com, even if you have bad credit in your record.

Giving that matters

"Each and every night, over 5,000 people sleep on the streets in the Los Angeles area. Having a place where we can send young people and adults to get them away from the influence of gangs, drugs, and the inner city is just the ticket for changing America. Our Discipleship School in El Mirage CA picks up the homeless every single week and brings them into an environment away from drugs and alcohol and all of the other negative influences so they can get their lives right. And of course since we help those who cannot help themselves, they are charged NOTHING!"
Rev. David Crawford

The above are an excerpt taken from the Boat Angel website. The BoatAngel ministry is reaching out to thousands of kids and youths that are in need of shelter, care, guidance and human touch. It is a ministry that touches lives of the destitute. Many of us come from well-to-do families where love and comfort abounds. Yet, if we open our eyes and be willing to look around outside our homes, we will find that many are not as fortunate as us.

And there are many of us who come from broken families or have lived in an orphanage homes. We know how it is like to live a life without many things and only with the basic necessity. And we know the joy of receiving help (in whatever forms) that ministered to our physical and spiritual needs. How we longed that many more will reach out to those in needs and ease the burden a little bit. The BoatAngel is doing the outreaches that you should be doing instead. They are planning to have more boat angel outreach center that will help to reach out to the needy. Would you be kind enough to help them in whatever ways you can? If you are willing and would like to do so, kindly check out the website and contact them as soon possible. Your gift will help to change and uplift another person’s life.
