Password Protection

More likely than not computer users would have important and private data stored in their computers. There are many files that we have created that stores various important information about ourselves, our bank accounts, business plans and expenses, and even our secret thoughts. Of course, if no one else can access your computer then there is not much a problem or need to protect it. However, if others are also using the same computer then there is a need to have Password Protection for your files.

Some programs like Microsoft Office do provide internal password protections options for the user. If you are using Unix or Linux you might want to consider PowerBroker and PowerPassword-User Management Edition (UME) access control solutions from Symark Software. After all, we do not want our important and personal data goes into the wrong hand.
