Webcam chat with Sis. Bebe
Yesterday, Mom had a chat with Sis. Bebe. I actually arranged the chat to be at 12 midnite but somehow Sis Bebe login to MSN Live Messenger earlier at 10.10pm. She gave a call first to inform that she is online. Mom was around and they chatted for about an hour or so. It was good to hear from her especially as she will going for her first Chemotherapy this coming Friday.

Times like this I thanked God for the advance of science. Sis Bebe is in UK and Mom can talk with her and see her face as though she is near each other. And it is very cheap compared to using the phone call.

Will be having another session of webcam chat with Sis Bebe this coming Sunday.

Diamond ring for my wife
My wife has been giving hints. Many times when she read and write about diamond ring, she would sigh and say, "Haizzz... when can I get my diamond ring?" Well being the poor (financially) man that I am, I can only keep quiet and wonder as to when can I fulfill that wish of hers. Maybe the time has come to fulfill her wish. Now A&W Diamonds, an established Loose Diamond Wholesaler is opening up a website to directly sell loose diamonds to consumers. There is no need for us to buy diamonds from a middle-man or a jeweler. As A&W Diamonds is celebrating their Grand Opening to the public they have given out this press release: -

New York, New York – A&W Diamonds is now open to the public. This is the first time that a loose diamond wholesaler has made their inventory open to the public at such attractive prices. Previous to the opening of AWdiamonds.com, A&W diamonds sold loose diamonds exclusively to jewelers and retail stores.

A&W Diamonds is a third generation diamond wholesaler based out of the diamond district in Midtown Manhattan. A&W Diamonds is run by Larry Weissfeld who is continuing the family business; he had this to say about his company. “We felt for a long time that the diamond market was lacking a public wholesaler. We wanted people to have access to affordable loose diamonds so that they could design their own jewelry and have more control over design and cost.”

AWdiamonds.com has thousands of diamonds available for sale in all shapes, colors, cuts and sizes. They also offer a matching diamond search engine so that customers can find matching diamonds for earrings or rings with multiple stones. Along with the diamonds AWdiamonds.com has a comprehensive diamond education center which should be a first stop for all novice diamond shoppers.

Benefits of Buying Loose Diamonds:

Price – Buying directly from the wholesaler is cheapest way to buy loose diamonds.
Design – Customers can choose their own designer and diamond, freeing them from ready-made choices at the jewelry store.
Quality – All loose diamond at A&W Diamonds are certified by independent laboratories including GIA, EGL and IGI.
Selection – A&W Diamonds offers thousands of loose diamonds in all shapes, cuts and colors to choose from.

About A&W Diamonds:
A&W Diamonds deals solely with loose diamonds. It is a third generation family business that provided loose diamonds to jewelers all over the world. With a selection of thousands of loose diamonds their goal is to make sure that everybody can find their perfect diamond.

Now I got the headache as to find the nice diamond for her. There are so many to choose from. Haizzzz...diamond is a girl's best friend but it is also a man's pocket digger.

Climbing toilet bowl
Annabelle can climb the toilet bowl by herself already. Today, as she wants to go and do her business in the toilet, she asked me accompany her. Looks like I have to do another shit watching. When we were in the toilet I grabbed her hand to help her climb. She pulled her hand away and told me that she can climb the toilet bowl all by herself. I smiled and just stand there. True to what she said, she managed to climb on the toilet bowl without my help.

I then went outside the toilet and do the shit watching. Prefers to do the shit watching outside the toilet as the smell of the shit could be very very smelly. Today's shit is dark brown and brown in colors. Washed her ass with water and soap and then watched her climbed down the toilet bowl all by herself. Praised her for her success in climbing up and down the toilet bowl all by herself. Now, my responsibilities would be lesser a bit.

Search and buy without hassle
If you want to buy a product you would normally search online for the brand and models of the product. Then when you found one that you like you would have to search for it at the various shopping malls or shops before you can find the products that you are looking for. That is quite a hassle for many of us especially when not all the shops do sell the product model that we are looking for. Now, that can change when you use krillion.com search website.

Assuming that you are looking for a oven, in particular a Kenmore Ranges oven products. Just type the keywords and you will be shown the full range of Kenmore oven related products. Choose your model and scroll down until you see the list of cities where you can buy the product. Click on the city near you and you will be shown the list of retailers that offers the product you want. It is that easy. You can be sure the shops listed do sell the product that you are looking for.

Australia - Gold Coast
One of the interesting places to visit in Australia is the Gold Coast. It is not certain how it got its name but one possibility is the golden potential it holds as a tourist spot. One thing for sure is the beaches there are favorite spots for local and outstation visitors. It is definitely a place to go for surfers as the waves provide challenging opportunities for surfers. Or one can just lay down and enjoy the sun.

That is not the only interesting places in Gold Coast. If you go for an hour drive west of Surfers Paradise you will reach the Gold Coast's Hinterland mountains. Here lies world heritage listed national parks and reserves where visitors can enjoy wonderful views, local restaurants and picnic spots, shopping, bush walking, bird watching, swim in natural rock pools, take 4WD day tours. If you are up to it, you can explore more than 160 kilometres of graded walking tracks in Lamington National Park, Australia's largest preserved stand of subtropical rainforest.

When you visit Gold Coast, you can stay in any of the Hotels in Brisbane. You can also check out the Brisbane Accomodation and Gold Coast Accomodation and get the best deal for your room rates.

Real Travel - Cheng Family
It is very interesting to read about other people experiences and adventures. I read about The Cheng Family travel adventure to X'ian, China where he blogged about his experience after visiting the famous Terracotta Army. Here is a quotation found in his blog: -

"The army was first discovered in 1974 by farmers digging a well. Since then more than 7,000 of these bigger than life-size terracotta warriors have been found in 4 different pits covering many acres. This is said to be the most important archeological find of the century. These figures were part of the burial site of Shi Huangdi, the first emperor of the Qin dynasty (221 – 206 BC), who also began the construction of the Great Wall.

Ancient records revealed that the burial site was built over a 10 year period with over 700,000 slave labourers. No two figures are alike and researchers believe they were actually modeled after real people. Not only were there terracotta figures found, but also found were two half-sized bronze horse drawn chariots intricately cast (and since restored) as well as swords still sharp and bright after 2000 years of burial. Researchers have since discovered that the Qin weapon makers already had chrome plating technology which we generally consider to be a 20
th century invention."

Reading his experiences makes me want to visit X'ian, China and experience the awe and wonder of the Terracotta Army. If you want to know more about his experiences, you can check out realtravel.com. You can also make full use of the free trip planner made available on the website. It provide help for you to choose your flight, packages, hotels and many more. You can also read about what other travelers have gone through which could greatly help you plan your holiday well.

Big appetite
He is hungry again. Barnabas is getting back his appetite. When he was down with fever, diarrhea and stomachache two weeks ago, his appetite went down. He hardly want to eat and the amount of food that he eats are little. I think it is because of stomach discomfort that he ate little. Now that he is healthy again, his appetite is really big.

Now, he cannot see other people eating. If he sees his mommy eating, he will immediately go over and ask for something to eat. And while eating and he sees his daddy eating some other food, he would then go to his daddy and still ask for some more food. Mind you, this happened even after he had his 6 ounces of milk. Hahaha...I think he wants to regain the weight that he lost when he was sick.

On the dining table his mommy has put various types of biscuits, wafers, candy and other tit-bits. This is where he likes to go when he is hungry, finding food to eat. In the long term, I think it would be cheaper and cost saving to buy candies from bulk candy store. There are various types of candies like Butter Fingers, Kit Kats, Almond Joys, Skittles, and Mentos that Barnabas would love to have in his mouth.

UK Birmingham
Welcome to Birmingham the second largest city in England. It has the reputation as a powerhouse of the Industrial Revolution in Britain. It is this fact that led to Birmingham being known as "the workshop of the world" or the "city of a thousand trades". You can call the people of Birmingham as 'Brummies', a term derived from the city's nickname of Brum.

If you are planning to visit Birmingham, do check out the events that they have throughout the year. One interesting event that you should consider attending is the Cardiff Summer Festival. It is a two months festival starting from 11th July 2008 and ends on 25th August 2008. It includes events such as Cardiff International Food & Drink Festival, Tesco Children's Festival, The Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend & MAS Carnival, Lloyds TSB Welsh Proms, and Mermaid Quay Cardiff Harbour Festival. You can stay in any of the Hotels in Cardiff. Some of the Cardiff Hotels and Birmingham Hotels offers cheap and reasonable room rates. Just make sure that you make room reservation much earlier before the event.

If you are there in winter, do not miss the Winter Wonderland where the Cardiff's City Hall lawn is transformed into the fun and festive Winter Wonderland with an open air ice rink, craft stalls and fairground rides. Do enjoy the Christmas celebrations here where beautiful lights are displayed. There is also the Admiral family fireshow that you might want to attend to.

House plans
One criteria that I like to see in a house is the cooling criteria. What I mean is whether the temperature inside the house is still cool even though the weather outside is very hot. Most of the terrace houses that are being built now does not fulfill this criteria. It is cheap in price but it is not comfortable to live in. Poor natural ventilation system is another downside to the terrace houses.

Have you watched the movie "The Lake House" starred by Sandra Bullock? In the movie there is a house by the lake. Most of the walls are made of glass and there is enough ventilation that makes the house looks cool. And one can enjoy the view of the lake even from inside the house. Now, that is a well planned house where nature is taken into consideration.

If you plan to have a house specially design according to your interests and ideas, you can checkout houseplansandmore.com. There are various types of house plans that are offered there. The Log Cabin House Plans and the English Cottage House Plans are wonderful and desirable. Then again, as I said, make sure that the house that you are planning to build take into consideration the weather and surrounding environment.

For those who have a ranch, you might want to consider the Small Ranch House Plans. The pictures shown are some of the house designs that I find very nice.

Shit watching
Being at home taking care of my three children gives me various adventures. One of it is shit watching. Everytime one of my children wants to go to the toilet, she would ask the daddy to follow along.

Daddy's responsibilities are firstly to ensure that the children climb safely on the toilet bowl. Secondly, it is to see whether the children is really shitting or just urinating. Thirdly, it is to monitor the "condition" of the shit, whether it is hard stool or watery, smelly or very very smelly and the colors of the shit. Fourthly, it is to wash the children's ass and ensure its cleanliness. And finally, to ensure the children climbed down safely from the toilet bowl. Such is the adventurous tasks of this daddy while shit watching.

Hawaii Kona
I have written in my earlier post about Kailua. In the island of Kailua is a place called Kona. It is not a big place and is still a sleepy town compared to Honolulu but it does hold world events that attracts thousands of people. Kona is located Let me mentioned just two of the events that is would be of interest to some.

Kona is home to the Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament. Kona's fishing grounds boast warm, deep waters, sunny skies, Aloha Spirit and the ability to hook up a marlin just five minutes after the tournament starts. It's fishing reputation was birth 48 years ago when Peter S. Fithian founded the Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament (HIBT). Since then, HIBT has earned its iconic status in big-game fishing tournaments and is known as the grandfather of all big game fishing tournaments. Not everybody can enter the tournament as it is only by invitation. This invitational tournament is built upon honor, prestige and strict adherence to International Game Fish Association rules for world records.

Another world event that attracts people from all over the world is the Ironman Triathlon World Championship. Firstly, the contestants have to swim accros the 2.4 mile seawater which begins at the Kailua Pier and stretches out into the bay. Secondly, it is followed by a 112 mile bike ride across the Hawaiian lava desert to Hawi and back, and thirdly, ending with a 26 7/32 mile marathon along the coast of the Big Island (from Keauhou to Keahole Point to Kailua-Kona), finishing on Ali'i Drive. If you think you are up to it, give yourself the challenge to compete and complete in this Triathlon. At the same time, enjoy your time in Hawaii Kona.

Check out Kona vacation rentals or Kauai Vacation Rentals for places to stay in Kona. You can read more about Kona from Kona Travel Blog.

Hawaii Kailua
Kailua was the ancient capital of O'ahu's kings. In 1795, King Kamehameha I conquered O'ahu in his quest to unite the Hawaiian Islands after which he granted various land areas to his warriors and tribal chiefs who have helped him. Visitors can see various ancient temple ruins in Kailua, one of which is the Ulu Po Heiau State Monument.

Kailua is located 12 miles northeast of Honolulu. One of the places that you can go is the Kailua Beach. Kailua Beach is a crescent-shaped, about 2 miles in length and 50-150 feet wide. The ocean bottom fronting the beach slopes gently to overhead depths without any coral heads. This place is suitable for amateur surfers as the light to medium waves can support surfing and body surfing.

Another interesting activity that you can do in Kailua is to take the "Magical Boat Tour" which departs daily from Keauhou Bay and enjoy a unique adventure where you'll see dolphins in their natural environment. If you want more, you can also explore the historic Kona Coast, the lava tubes, and the sea caves.

For more information on Kailua, check out Hawaiian Vacation Kailua and Kauai Travel Blog. Of course, if you are looking for a place to stay, you can check out Kauai Vacation Rentals for good and cheap offers.

Hawaii Oahu
Welcome to Oahu, Hawaii. Oahu is located below Kauai island. As mentioned in my earlier post, Oahu is famous and well known among world class surfers. It is said the surfing was birthed in Oahu although this claim was not authenticated. Most people believe that surfing has its beginning in Polynesia. The tribal chiefs in Hawaii use surfing not only for recreation but also for ritual activities. Now surfing has evolved tremendously and has become a popular sport worldwide.

If you are not into surfing like me, you can still have a list of things to do in Oahu. Oahu is also famous for its Shark Adventure trip. You can travel 3 1/2 miles to the ocean and you can hop in the shark cage with a mask and snorkel. Let the sharks pay you a visit, up close and personal. I am sure that would be a lifetime experience that you would not forget.

For those who are interested in the beauty of the seaworld, snorkeling and scuba-diving activities are also available. Or you can search of the Humpback Whales and watch the spectacular whales swimming in the water.

You can find more information from Oahu Vacation Info or even from Kauai Travel Blog about what you can do in Oahu. For a place to stay, check out Hawaii home rentals.

Hawaii Kauai
Where is the wettest island on earth? I do not think many would know the answer. Some would immediately search online to get the answer. Some would think that Ireland is the wettest island but that answer is wrong. The right answer is Kauai island, the island located at the top of the Hawaiian Island chain. Now that you know the answer, let us see What to Do in Kauai, the wettest island in the world.

Being surrounded by the Pacific Ocean has its advantages. This island is blessed with beautiful beaches with strong waves. When we talk about strong waves, the waves surfers would be delighted. Well, most pro surfers would know about the waves in Oahu but the waves in in Kauai is equally challenging. Will talk more about the waves in Oahu in another post. Especially for couples (married couples especially), both of you must walk along the beach at sunset and rekindle the romance you have with each other. And if you are ready to get married, you might even want to get married in the Waioli Hutia Church (picture shown).

Besides the beach, one can also visit the Hanalei Valley Lookout and enjoy the spectacular view of the island. The valley is surrounded by mountain ridges and would be a delight for photographers. The beautiful colors of green valley contrasted with the blue sky and white clouds would create beautiful pictures in your camera. Visitors can also go hiking or snorkeling depending on one's choice of activities. If you are looking for places to stay, Kauai vacation rentals offer good choices for visitors. Check out Kauai Travel Blog for more information.

Visit Germany & Austria
“The Sound of Music” comes to mind when people mentioned about Austria and Germany. It is not just about the music in that movie but also the beautiful sceneries where the movie was shot. Indeed, Austria is a land of beautiful sceneries. The beautiful mountains top are awesome. It will not only bring delight to the eyes but also brings one nearer to the Maker. Do visit the Crystal Worlds and you will be amazed at the beauty of light piercing through thousands of crystals.

Likewise, when you visit Germany, its nature and beautiful sceneries are a must to visit. Do not forget to visit any of the biosphere reserves in Germany. Biosphere reserves are representative areas of precious natural and man-made landscapes and are use for research into the relationship between man and the environment. Alternatively you can visit the beautiful National Parks in Germany.

If you loves music both countries have something to offer to you. When you stay in Vienna, make sure that you go and enjoy the beautiful choir music from groups like the Vienna Mozart Orchestra, Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the Vienna Boys’ Choir. I would not be surprised if you might even be dreaming of being one of the singers in these orchestras.

Likewise the music experience in Germany is equally enthralling. Various musicals are played all year round in Germany such as the 3 Musketeers, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Mamma Mia! and many others. There are many other concerts that you can go to. Just check out the dates and plan your holiday accordingly.

For places to stay you can check out any of the Hotels in Vienna and Hotels in Berlin. I am sure there are cheap Hotels in Vienna and cheap Hotels in Berlin that you can find online. Be sure to compare the prices first to get the best deals. Some of the hotels do offer holiday tours that you might be interested in.

In his arms
Reached home from work today and received a surprise. As I opened the door to the house, my son Barnabas saw me. He gave a wide smile, happy to see me.

"Barnabas, come to daddy. Come, come, hug daddy" I said to him.

Immediately he came to me and open wide his arm to hug me. Hugged him tight. Wah.....this feeling like no other, I want you to know. It's so wonderful to be wanted by him. Hugged him and asked him to kiss me. That he still shy to give. Don't know why.

Metal cabinets
In my house there are many rooms. If it is not so, I would not tell you so. In all the rooms there are many cupboards. Most of them are made of wood. Some of the cupboards shelves are not of good quality wood and would bend due the heavy weight put on it. I wanted to buy a metal shelves but has yet to do so until now. It is alright to put metal shelves inside the room.

Would I put metal cabinets in the kitchen? The answer depends on one factor. Whether the kitchen is meant to be used as dry or wet kitchen. If it is used as wet kitchen then I would not put metal cabinets in it. I will rust easily once it got wet. It is okay to put metal cabinets in dry kitchen. In fact it would make the kitchen more presentable especially if you have the stainless steel cabinets.

Installing security camera
After a long wait, the security man came to install the cctv in the shop. I already asked him to install it quite some time ago but due to the delay in getting the product from the supplier, the installation was postponed until today. Well, I hope with this cctv, I'll be able to monitor the activities in the shop better. As it is now, I'm not sure whether is happening in the shop when I am not around. Hopefully, with the cctv installed, the staff would not dare to lepak so much.

Website Optimization Firm
Now that my wife has her own laptop, she would be able to be online whenever she wants to. She does not have to wait for me to finish my work or game as she can do her work on her laptop. She would be able to focus more on her blog and also on her website. I too have my own website but it has been forsaken for quite some time. Unlike my wife who always keep her blog and website updated from time to time, my website remains dormant. Maybe it is time to revive that website again.

I think I need to get the help of website optimization firm to revive my website. Instead of just having a personal website, I might want to change it into a business website where I can sell products online. It can be about selling computer hardwares or accessories or even about selling online game products. With the expertise that the website optimization firm like ThinkBigSites.com has, my website can be fully optimized to generate income. Why should I pay for the domain name and web hosting fee every year if the website does not generate income for me. It would be such a waste. It is now time for me to think big on how to fully optimize my website.

She got her laptop
At last, wife got her laptop. Went to the shop in the evening to buy Acer Aspire 4315. She has been eyeing that laptop since the last week when we went to the shop. As the price is not too expensive she decided that she would want it. So just now we went there again and bought it. Free gifts are the cooling pad and the optical mouse. Also the OS has been changed from Linux to XP. We also bought a Wireless+ 4 ports router so that she can be online at the same time. Wah..she so happy now. Can blog and I can play game at the same time.

To be a businessman
It is not easy to be a businessman. Just because you have the capital at hand and had the desire to start a business does not necessarily make you a businessman. And even after you had started the business, you would still have to work hard to make it successful. Sometimes other factors come into play. Two of the shops along my internet cafe closed their business. One is selling handphones and the other one is a Nasi Ayam restaurant. Both owners have opened other shops and have the experience needed. However, the business still does not make enough profit and had to be closed down. I thank God that my internet cafe does not have to suffer the same consequences. I am impressed with Bob MacDonald achievements in business. He was the CEO of the merged companies of LifeUSA and Allianz North America and with a few books already in the market. Maybe I need to Learn Bob’s secrets to business and entrepreneurial success . It is good to learn for those who have made to the top and have experiences to share.

Deciding Where to Eat
We went out for dinner last night. As usual, we had to discuss on where to go. Yes, you read it right. Various factors will come up like these major factors:
1. What food the children can eat?
2. What food Michelle wants to eat?.
3. Where or which foodcourt/restaurant that caters to these two factors?
4. How much would the cost be?
5. Would Michelle's mother be able to look after the children or at least Barnabas?
6. Is there any other purpose in going out (e.g. need to buy household things).

Hahaha...after considering all these factors, we decided to go to Newton Foodcourt at Ujong Pasir. Send Barnabas to Michelle's mother and off we went for our dinner. Along the way we changed our mind and decided to eat at a sort off newly opened Chinese Western Food restaurant at Pulau Gadong. We ordered Fried Rice for the children, Fish & Chips for Michelle, Mushroom Soup, Seafood TomYam for myself and drinks. The TomYam is nice. The fish is not so fresh (got not fresh taste). All in all it was considered cheap for the four of us. Might go there again for the Tomyam. Then off we go to Tesco for our household shopping.

Looks like this is the pattern of determining where we will be having our meals. Six major factors had to be taken into consideration. I wonder whether other families would have other factors included in.

No New Car
Looks like our plan to get a new car has to be postponed. Since all the money that is allocated for the car has to be channeled elsewhere, it may be that we will just make do with our present old cars. There is no major problems with our present old cars but it is not suitable for long distance travel should we need to go outstation. And we do plan to go outstation for our holidays.

I guess we will have to make do with our present cars for the time being. Looks like I have to go to the auto accessories shop to install a few things to make the car more comfortable. The radio player that is not working properly will need to be replaced. Maybe I will get a CD player as I want to listen to Christian songs from the CDs. I am not sure whether I will tint the car windows although that is one of the plans. Anyway, I will need to help my wife with her paid posts to pay for the expenses.

HEAVEN AND HELL {An Interesting Story}
A man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said,
" Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like."

The Lord led the man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the man looked in. In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew which smelled delicious and made the man's mouth water. The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful, but because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths.

The man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.
The Lord said, "You have seen Hell."

They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one. There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the man's mouth water. The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking.

The man said, "I don't understand".

"It is simple" said the Lord,

"it requires but one skill. You see, they have learned to feed each other. While the greedy think only of themselves."

Moral:
Its people's attitude that makes our place of work, a hell or heaven to them!!

'Help and Seek Help' this makes all the difference to each individual's life...and makes our lives hell or otherwise.

Success and happiness is all about effective team-work... ..make it a great week ahead!!!.

Multivend
“Daddy, what is that?” Belle pointing to a multivend machine outside the restaurant. She saw two small boys putting in coins into the machine and got a ball.

“That’s a vending machine” I answered. Silence. I turned and look at her. A puzzled look on her face. Obviously she does not understand the word “vending”. She looked at me looking for more explanation. My mind did a hurried browsing on my vocabularies store, searching for other words to explain to her. “Vending?” she asked again. She tried to register that word in her mind and associating it with the machine.

“Well, it is where you can get something from the machine when you put money inside it. If you want the toys or ball inside the vending machine box, you must pay by putting a coin first. Then the ball will come out and you will get the ball.” I tried to explain further, hoping that she would understand better.

“Oh…” she replied with a nod as though she understands what I said to her. I do hope she understands it or at least remember the word.

Human medicine for cat
While we were at Hanif’s house for Hari Raya visitation, the children were excited to see three male cats. Clarissa was brave enough to touch one of the cats. The cats were well taken care of and well fed. Hanif’s father told us that one of the cats got sick two weeks ago. They almost wanted to throw away the cat as the cat was too weak to live. Somehow, Hanif’s mother gave one medicine (that was supposedly to be taken by Hanif’s sister) to the cat. And lo and behold, the cat became healthy. Hmm…this is indeed very interesting. Does it work vice versa?

It is confirmed. One of my brothers gave me a call and told me that he needs the money by end of this week. I was like “oh…ok…so fast kah?... I thought you only need it by next month”. Anyway, a promise is a promise. I was not so sure whether we do have the full amount of money requested by him. So, I told him that I will check first with my wife and get back to him later.

Upon checking our Paypal and bank account, we do have the full amount. I am thankful that though we seem to be poor and the business has yet to make profits, God has blessed us with other source of income. It is more like my wife’s money since most of it is through her hard efforts in blogging. Despite our “proverty” we are able to help others who are in need. I know that some people resorted to finding the Best Credit Cards offer and use the credit card to help ease their financial needs. God is faithful. Now, I have to do more paid posts.

Woman as explained by engineers - Part 4
Hahaha...it is said that it is impossible to understand woman. I think this picture depicts the complexity of trying to control a woman. There are so many "knobs" that must be correctly tuned before we are able to achieve our target.

Woman as explained by engineers - Part 3
I'm not so sure about this yet. So far so good. Hmmm...maybe we are not focusing on winning but more of discussing about the issues. Especially in a marriage, it is definitely not about winning an argument but more so on sharing with each other. So take this picture as just a humor.

Outsourced Accounting Services at it’s best.

Frankly speaking, I have stopped updating my business expenses in the proper way. I still keep all the invoices and receipts but it is not properly recorded and filed. I did it properly for the first few months with my wife’s help. However, when she started to be busy with her paid posts, the matter was left unattended until now. What I really need is a good and reliable accounting service.

No, I do not just want an accounting service that just provide for data entry of my business expenses and income. I need more than that. I need timely and accurate financial information so that I can manage my business well. If it is just data entry, even I can do it without any help. I need to find outsourced accounting services that would not only provide data entry but also would analyze the data and give needed recommendations when necessary. If you are having the same problem like me, you should consider OSI Business Services. Come, let manage our business well, make profits and help others in need.

25 inches weenie
A man with a 25 inch long weenie goes to his doctor to complain that he
is having a problem with this cumbersome instrument and has had more
than one complaint. "Doctor," he asked, in total frustration, "is there
anything you can do for me?

The doctor replies, "Medically son, there is nothing I can do. But, I do
know this witch who may be able to help you." So the doctor gives him
directions to the witch.

The man calls upon the witch and relays his story. "Witch, my weenie is
25 inches long and I need help. Can anything be done to help me? You are
my only hope."

The witch stares in amazement, scratches her head, and then replies, "I
think I may be able to help you with your problem. Do this. Go deep into
the forest. You will find a pond. In this pond, you will find a frog
sitting on a log. This frog has magical powers. You must say to frog,
will you marry me? When the frog says no, you will find five inches less
to your problem."

The man's face lit up and he dashed off into the forest. He called out
to the frog, "Will you marry me?"
The frog looked at him dejectedly and replied, "NO!"
The man looked down and suddenly his wee was 5 inches shorter.

"WOW," he screamed out loud, "this is great!" However he realized it's
still too long at 20 inches, so he asked the frog to marry him again."
"Frog, will you marry me?" the guy shouted.
The frog rolled its eyes back in its head and screamed back, "NO!"

The man felt another twitch in his pants, looked down, and it was another
5 inches shorter.

The man laughed,"This is fantastic." He looked down again, 15 inches
long, and reflected for a moment. Fifteen inches is still a monster,
just a little less would be ideal. Grinning, he looked across the pond
and yelled out, "Frog will you marry me?"
The frog looked back across the pond shaking its head, "How many times
do I have to tell you? NO, NO, NO!!!

Ankle sprained

During the soccer game on Sunday and in the excitement of trying to get the ball from the opponent, I stepped upon the opponent’s foot. The uneven surface causes my right foot ankle muscle to sprain. Awwwch…so painful. Rest for about 5 minutes before I am back in the game. I even managed to score a goal after that. I thank God that it is not a complete sprained or I would not be able to walk properly for weeks.

Favor

My best guy friend called me the other day. As usual, when he calls, it is either than he is back in Melaka or there are some things or helps that he wants to inquire. So it was indeed a surprise to hear from him that the call is just to say hello. Well, after I got married and have children and after he got married and moved away to another state, we hardly have time to go out and catch up on each other’s life. Phone calls are made when necessary, i.e. normally when there are favors to be asked from each other.

I remember that at one point of his career life, he was asked by his employer if he would consider going to work in Mexico. His company is opening a factory there and would want him to work there to supervise the factory’s production. He was quite interested to go as he says that he would treat it as going for a Mexico Vacation. Unfortunately, or fortunately (depending on how you want to see it) the plan was cancelled. Now, he is working in another company, having a nice paying job and already got married. His name is JK.

Playing Again

Went to play soccer on Sunday. It was great to be able to play again after a two weeks break. The Sunday before, I had to work at the shop so I missed the game. Reached there early before 5.15 p.m.. Unfortunately, the field grass was not cut but that does not stopped us from enjoying the game. There are only about 16 of us at first but that is enough to have a game. Later, a few others arrived and we had fun. We won 5-3.

Got Somemore Ketupat?

What do they serve on 10th Day Raya? Definitely not ketupat and rendang lah. Definitely not lemang lah. But there are some left-over “kuih-muih” or more like titbits. No, I don’t feel disappointed with it. In fact, I felt sorry for Hanif’s family. His mother had to cook fried mee for us (Michelle, Annabelle, Clarissa and myself). Only Michelle and myself can eat the fried mee as it is cooked spicy and my two daughters can’t eat spicy food yet. There are lots of leftover fried mee when we left. But Hanif got lots of brothers and sisters so that should not be a problem.

Fat women have difficulties in conceiving

Is it true that fat women have difficulties in conceiving a child? My neighbour got married earlier than me. Both the wife and him are of heavy built and would be considered fat. Until now they have yet to be blessed with a child. My brother also married a big size girl (meaning a fat girl) and until now they are still without a child. He has been married for about 3 years.

Now, I am not saying that if a girl is fat she would definitely not able to conceive and give birth. It all depends on the body, on whether the body is able to conceive and carry the baby through the nine months. However, if the chances of having a baby are greatly reduced because of being fat, then it would be better to consider weight loss surgery. The best option is still to gradually slim down by way of exercising and maintaining healthy diet program. Unfortunately, more often than not lack of self control and determination got the upper hand and the person is back to the “fat” square one. Above it all, one should remember God as at the end of all discussions and thoughts, He is the Giver of life and he closes and opens the wombs in accordance to His wonderful plan.

Drink Camomile

I still have the Camomile tea packets, courtesy of Lei Shia. If I can remember it correctly, she bought it for my wife when my wife was in lots of pressures from the boss. I made the opening ceremony of opening the tea box and helped myself to a mug of camomile tea. As for my wife, she only tried the tea after I prepared it for her, which is like a few months after Lei Shia gave it to her. Don’t know why. Maybe it is just that she does not have any likings to tea.

Just now my wife prepared two mugs of camomile tea for me and herself. Now, I’m enjoying the smell and taste of camomile tea. Lei Shia said that camomile tea is good when one is under stress. Since I am under stress to write more paid posts, this tea is indeed suitable for me. Thanks Lei Shia.

Supper Again

It’s been a few days since Michelle and I went out for supper. As usual, one of the favorite supper food is Roti Canai. We went to a stall near Michelle’s working place. As usual, Michelle would be ordering Roti Canai with Planta and I will order my normal 2 pieces Roti Canai Kosong. The gravy is nice and the roti canai is quite crispy. Michelle wanted to take pictures of it but then she feels shy since there are a lot of kampong people eating there. Wonder what they will think of us…maybe like big city people who never seen roti canai before.

5 Reasons Why God Uses Problems
The problems you face will either defeat you or develop you - depending on how you respond to them. Unfortunately, most people fail to see how God wants to use problems for good in their lives. They react foolishly and resent their problems rather than pausing to consider what benefit they might bring. Here are five ways God wants to use the problems in your life:

1. God uses problems to DIRECT you.
Sometimes God must light a fire under you to get you moving. Problems often point us in a new direction and motivate us to change. Is God trying to get your attention? "Sometimes it takes a painful situation to make us change our ways."

2. God uses problems to INSPECT you.
People are like tea bags...if you want to know what's inside them, just drop them into hot ever water! Has God tested your faith with a problem What do problems reveal about you? "When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith, and this will give you patience."

3. God uses problems to CORRECT you.
Some lessons we learn only through pain and failure. It's likely that as a child your parents told you not to touch a hot stove. But you probably learned by being burned. Sometimes we only learn the value of something... health, money, a relationship. .. by losing it. "It was the best thing that could have happened to me, for it taught me to pay attention to your laws."

4. God uses problems to PROTECT you.
A problem can be a blessing in disguise if it prevents you from being harmed by something more serious. Last year a friend was fired for refusing to do something unethical that his boss had asked him to do. His unemployment was a problem - but it saved him from being convicted and
sent to prison a year later when management's actions were eventually discovered. "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good...

5. God uses problems to PERFECT you.
Problems, when responded to correctly, are character builders. God is far more interested in your character than your comfort. Your relationship to God and your character are the only two things you're going to take with you into eternity. "We can rejoice when we run into problems...they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady."

Here's the point:
God is at work in your life - even when you do not recognize it or understand it. But it's much easier and profitable when you cooperate with Him. "Success can be measured not only in achievements, but in lessons learned, lives touched and moments shared along the
way"

Smart move
My best guy friend told me that he has no credit card. I was quite surprised when he told me that. I asked him why and he told me that he wants to be financially free. Previously, he has lots of debts including a few credit cards debts. As a result of not being able to pay on time, he has bad credit. It took him a few months before he is able to clear all his credit cards debts. Now, he is wiser and only keeps 2 credit cards for emergency use only.

Password Protection
More likely than not computer users would have important and private data stored in their computers. There are many files that we have created that stores various important information about ourselves, our bank accounts, business plans and expenses, and even our secret thoughts. Of course, if no one else can access your computer then there is not much a problem or need to protect it. However, if others are also using the same computer then there is a need to have Password Protection for your files.

Some programs like Microsoft Office do provide internal password protections options for the user. If you are using Unix or Linux you might want to consider PowerBroker and PowerPassword-User Management Edition (UME) access control solutions from Symark Software. After all, we do not want our important and personal data goes into the wrong hand.

Badminton in New Zealand
The Malaysian Badminton doubles team Kien Keat – Boon Heong is currently World No 1. However, they were reported as saying that the position is not what important to them. Instead, they are focusing on getting a wining streak throughout this year. Wow…that is a remarkable statement by top elite athlete. It is not easy to be World No 1 when you have to compete with other good athletes from around the world. And it is even more difficult to be down to earth when you are crowned World No 1. Kudos to the Malaysian Badminton Doubles team.

Talking about badminton, there will be the Waitakere World Junior Badminton Championships 2007 from 25 October till 4 Nov. It would be in Waitakere, New Zealand. So, to all the badminton fans out there, this is a chance for you to go for a holiday and still get to see the world’s best at play. Players from Malaysia, China, Korea and Indonesia will be giving their best to claim the championships title.

You can stay in one of the Auckland Hotels. Do not worry about accommodation. There are cheap Hotels in Auckland. If you are not sure where to find one, check out the Auckland Accommodation website.

She floated to me
I can still recall my wedding day. Of course I should remember it or else my wife would be furiously angry at me. It is a special day, a day where one made the commitment to be joined together in a sacred covenant to be together until death. As usual every bride would want to have a beautiful and memorable wedding day. I blamed the media and the Hollywood film industry for causing girls to want an almost fairy-tales imagination of what a wedding should be.

Having said that, I am not against those who want to make their wedding day as beautiful and special as they can. Sometimes it is not about having many beautiful things to make the day special. It could be the simple yet creative and unique wedding favor ideas that make a lot of difference. My wife wanted a simple wedding ceremony in the hotel ballroom but with a little creativity we had a swimming pool wedding ceremony. Instead of walking down the aisle, she floats across the swimming pool to meet her handsome bridegroom.

Holiday plans canceled
I thank God for granting me good health again. Am feeling much better now than last week when I was down with diarrhea and fever for about 4 days. In fact the whole family was down with fever, diarrhea, vomiting, stomach-ache or some kind of discomfort. It was really a “sick week” for us. A few of the holiday plans that we have planned earlier had to be cancelled. We are unable to attend the family gathering at Tebong. Hari Raya visitation to our Malay friends’ house had to be postponed. And our own family get-away had to be canceled.

I guess it is not time for us to go for a holiday yet. Though we plan but circumstances just does not permit us to do so. Who knows, instead of just going for a holiday locally, we would be going for a holiday in Australia or New Zealand. There are cheap flights available now. Various international flights are available to these two destinations. Of course we would prefer the Qantas when we are in Australia. From we can take Singapore Airlines or even United Airlines to Australia. Ahh… waiting for the day to come.

Jephtah & his status
Today, the message is about Jephtah from the book of Judges. Sister Guat Lan preached it. One points that stands out about Jephtah is this.

Jephtah was an illegitimate child but that does not stop him from becoming a great warrior. Sometimes we let our circumstances to dictate our actions. Being an illegitimate child could cause us to feel inferior or have low self-esteem. That should be the way. There are many things that could not be changed and as such we should accept it. As a result of not being affected by his status, Jephtah eventually led the Israelites to victory against the Moabites and Amorites.

God can use us no matter what our status are in society. Do you feel low self-esteem? Take heart in knowing that God still loves you and have wonderful plans for you.

You have the right to remain silent
My uncle was a police sergeant. Now he is retired but he still keeps contact with his former officers and colleagues. One thing about the security force like the army or the police is that it is not easy to buy their clothings. He told me that most of the time, he has to tailor-made his clothings. Of course he has not heard about LApolicegear.com.

At lapolicegear.com he can buy a ready made clothings like the 5.11 Tactical clothings which he can do so without any problems. Guys, check out the website. They not only have clothings but also cool gadgets that you can buy. The tactical pocket grappling hook is shown in the picture.

Young coconut water for my children
Clarissa vomited again just now. I think it is because of the Yakult drinks that she drank. Maybe her stomach could not take that drink yet. Oh well, the rest of the Yakult drinks would be consumed by me then.

Since the doctor advised to give coconut water to the children or isotonic drinks like 100 Plus or Isomax, I decided to pluck young coconuts for them. There a few low coconut trees near the fish ponds at the back of my house. Tried using the existing bamboo stick to pluck it but it is too thin and not suitable to pluck the coconut. So I had to cut a new bigger thicker bamboo stick, trimmed its' smaller branches. With this new bamboo stick I managed to pluck 4 young coconuts. Hmm....the water taste refreshing and the coconut flesh is delicious too.

Ah... the joy of staying in a village. Free coconut water.

Strum that guitar
After the birth of my first daughter Annabelle, I bought a guitar hoping that I will be able to catch up on my guitar skill. Yes, I did use it for awhile, mostly playing worship songs to my daughter. I have yet to tell her that the guitar is bought using the money given to her as a gift. Maybe when she knows the truth, she will just take the guitar as her own. Praying that she will pick up some musical talents.

If your children wants to play electric guitar, you can buy it from Shopping.com. They have various brands of good Electric Guitars for you to choose from. If you are not sure which one to choose, here is a pointer for you.

The guitar you should pick partly depends on what style of music you wish to play and what kind of sound you want to create. If you are still unsure what this sentence means, read on.

An acoustic electric guitar is essentially an acoustic guitar with an electric pickup mounted on it. Its tone is usually mellower than that of other electric guitars. Look at acoustic electric guitars if you want to play jazz. Try out a Fender Stratocaster or a Gibson Les Paul if you want to play rock or blues.

Oh ya, please try out several types and models to determine what tone you prefer before you make the final decision.

Show me the shoes!
Not all shoes last forever. My old soccer shoes that I have been using for more than a year finally got torn during a soccer friendly match. The sole of the shoe broke to few pieces due the pressure of my weight while running during the game. Now, I have a new pair of soccer shoes from Bata.

If you play basketball, one shoe that you should consider buying is the the Air Jordans. In basketball Air Jordans are without a viable competitor. Air Jordans are the ultimate shoe for basketball use. Of course there are other good quality shoes like Air Dunks and the Air Force Ones.

And if you are into hiphop dance and looking for cool sneakers, do check out Bathing Apes. Not sure where you can find these shoes. Just check out www.kickstime.com. They do have other shoes like Evisu Jeans, Red Monkey Jeans, Prada Shoes & Gucci Shoes.

Daddy's Turn

After eating smoked ham, 3 cheese sausages, and one fried egg for dinner, I had to attend to my children’s purging and vomiting. I thought everything would be okay for me. Almost midnight, I started to feel nauseas and giddy.

By the time I managed to write one post on my blog, I already feel like vomiting. Went to the toilet immediately and there all the smoked ham, sausages and egg went down the toilet bowl. Ewwch … I really don’t like the smell and taste of the vomit.

Thank God that everything come out…from the mouth and also the ass. Felt slightly better after that. Arggh… maybe my wife wants to poison me. Must be careful from today onwards. That cunning lady….trying to use my children situation to poison her husband.

A Day of Vomit and Diarrhea
Yesterday should be declared A Day of Vomiting and Purging. All my three children are sick. Barnabas, Clarissa and Annabelle vomited from the morning till late at night. One after another will cry out for attention.

“Mommy, my stomach pain pain”, Annabelle groaned.

“Mommy, I got stomach egg”, whines Clarissa.

And Barnabas will just cry and cry and look for the mother.

Then Clarissa will come and tell me that she want to go ngk ngk (poo-poo). Send her to the toilet but nothing comes out. A minute later she will come again and say that she wants to go ngk ngk again. The cycle continues almost every 2 minutes once for about 1 hour. Then suddenly, Annabelle vomited. Had to take the mop and mop the floor. After an hour or so, it is Clarissa’s turn to vomit. I think each of my children vomited twice yesterday.

Never had I had to clean up the vomit so many times in my life. And never had I brought my daughter to the toilet so many times in a day. Therefore, I shall declare 15 October as the Day of Vomiting and Diarrhea.

Hunting for a chair
The chair that I am sitting right now is not comfortable at all. The cushion is giving way and there is not enough support for my butt. It is not good for my body if I have to sit on it for a long period of time, doing my online research. I have already experienced a few incidences of leg cramps after sitting too long on the chair.

Since my wife is on holiday today, I told her that we will be going out to hunt for a chair. We need a good solid comfortable chair since we will be using the computer always and for a long period of time. She said, "Why don't you check out the designs on the net. I know we can buy furniture online, I'm sure they have some nice chair designs that we can go and buy." Sure enough, there are many online shops that I can check out.

One of it is furniturefromhome.com. They have a wonderful array of furniture designs for me to choose from. Check out the Sleigh Beds that they sell. I would go for the King Beds as I want to have bigger size bed. Yes, they do have the Queen Beds also for you to choose from.

I found one office chair that I am interested.

P/S..looks like my wife do not want to go out. Will hunt for the chair another day.

Still Preparing
Still have not started on preparing the sermon. Yes.... I would be preaching. Date given by Pastor Lee Neo is 4 Nov. Got 3 more weeks to be prepared. Roughly I know the topic that I am going to preach but the content of it have yet to be written on paper. Well, not sure about my feelings about having to preach again. It's just that its been quite some time since the last time I preached. Well, maybe that is good since I have to depend on God to empower and anoint me for the preaching. Right now, I am just thinking through and meditating on the verse that I'll be preaching. Hope to get everything written by end of this week.

Do I need a break?
My wife is asking me to go for a holiday. She is having a long break during this Hari Raya holidays and is wondering whether we could go for a holiday somewhere. Not really sure where we will go or whether we will be going at all.

During dinner last night, we talked about it again. Suddenly she said, "Lets go to East Coast for the weekend breaks". For a moment my mind rushed to think about what she meant by "East Coast". Could she meant it as going to Trengganu or Pahang situated east of Malaysia Peninsular. Then I realized that she is talking about East Coast, Australia.

"Wah... go Australia?" I remarked back.
"Yalo...its cheap to go there. We can take take any of the cheap flights to Australia, stay there for a few days and then come back lah", she replied.

"But what about our children?" I asked her. With that question the thoughts of going for a holiday vanishes into thin air.

Loan shark or CashAdvance
I have been blogging about finance and business lately. It is not easy for a businessman to expand his business without money. I cannot expand my internet shop business as most of the profit is used to pay back the capital loan. I am thankful to God that I do not have to suffer loss from the business. And I definitely would not start the bakery business on my own as I do not have the capital to start it.

I know that certain bosses have to face tougher situations than me. When the business is not doing well, they have to figure out how to get the money to pay the expenses especially the staffs’ salaries. They can borrow from the loan shark. This action would put their business and even their lives in danger when they failed to pay back the loan. Now, there is another option available for them. With CashAdvance1500.com, they can get fast payday loans or any other types of cash advance. Once approved the money would be directly credited to their bank account. And this transaction can be easily done online.

Another progress made
Yes, the business plan is moving albeit slowly. Yesterday, we (my partner and I) went to the bank to create a bank account for the business. There were some problems though. We were not able to include both the partner and my name as the account holders. This is because he has yet to have a working permit and as such the bank would not be able to accept him as an account holder. After much discussion, he finally agreed to open the business bank account. This is indeed a great step of trust for him as he would not be able to have any legal control over the money in the account.

As for me, I am a bit reluctant with the situation as I would be responsible for the money (which is not my money). However, this gives me comfort that he (my partner) is really serious in doing the bakery business and not trying to cheat me. He would be bringing in more money from overseas for the business.

Now, the biggest hurdle is to get his working visa.

Can I Borrow From You?
One of my brother approached me and inquired about my financial status. Why? It is because he is buying a new house and is short of a certain amount to cover the whole purchase price. Due to a miscalculation and certain factors being overlooked, he bought the property but then realized that he is short of money to cover the whole purchase price.

Of course, there are various options available to him. If he does not want others to know, he can use his credit card and withdraw cash money whenever needed. However, this is a little bit risky as he would have a bad credit status should he failed to pay the credit card company in time. Another option for him would be to seek help from family members, which he did. This is where family bond and love comes into action. At this moment we are trying to figure out what is the best way to help him out.

LOL... sold another item
Wah... good business lah playing online game. Looks like the market is growing now. Another customer just asked me about my old Wolf Harness Armor. I have two unused Wolf Harness Armor, one of is it quite a good armor to use. I bought it quite sometime ago when my character level is only level 32. After buying a new and better armor, I tried to sell the old ones but without much success. Partly also it is because I concentrated more on increasing my level than selling stuffs online.

After discussing the price and he asking for a discount, I agreed to sell the armor for RM32. Deal. Hmm... time to play more and get more MS money so that I can sell to my customers.

New Business opportunity
Well, looks like there are many opportunities available for people who wants to earn money. No, it is not the easy money scam that most people are attracted to. This is legal and depends on your hard work and creativity. Are you interested?

Hahaha...do not worry! I am not asking you to start playing online game and sell online game stuffs for cash. That opportunity is for me. Even if you do starts playing online game, you might find it difficult to get people to buy your online game items for cash. It is different for me as I work in an internet cafe and most of my customers play the same online game.

The new business opportunity is from AlwaysHD.com. Check out their HD Stock Video Library and you will roughly know what I am writing about. If you are good in cinematography and do have good high definition movies or video clips, you can sell those video clips to the public. You need to sign up first before you can sell your footage through AlwaysHD. But please ensure that it is original footage and by all means do not infringe any copyrights laws.

So what are you waiting for? Take out those video cameras and start shooting.

Keeping Fit
Being a sports person, I tried to keep my body fit and healthy. It is not easy but it is something that needs to be done. As the years passed by, I bought one home fitness equipment at a time. Now I have a number of them at home. There is one that I brought to the internet shop. It is the Ab King Pro where I do sit ups on the bench. It is much easier and more effective than the traditional sit ups exercise. And I only have to exercise for 3 minutes a day. Within a few days I can already see the difference on my abs.

Unfortunately, due to the change in my working schedule the Ab King Pro is no longer used by me. I think my staff or his friends do use it from time to time. Most probably I would bring it back home.

When Fairy Tales Lie - by Betsy St. Amant
I received this article from a friend. A sweet reminder that we live in a real world with real challenges.

As little girls, we all dreamed of our future husbands. We pictured ourselves in a Cinderella or Snow White costume, waiting patiently for Prince Charming to come galloping up on a white stallion. There didn't even have to be a reason for him to "rescue" us. In our dreams, it was enough for him just to find us.

Young boys didn't usually dream about being Prince Charming, but most entertained thoughts and acted out fantasies of being the "hero". They wielded swords made of cardboard and wore capes that had worried mothers insisting the piece of cloth didn't really give them the ability to fly. These male/female instincts are God-given and natural. But left in an unrealistic, fairytale world perspective, they can cause many dangers to a marriage.

Prince or Toad?

Too often as married couples, we blame our spouses for not being what we dreamed of all those years ago. At some point, even subconsciously, we will realize that the man who blanched at our latest cooking attempt and "forgot" to help fold the laundry isn't Prince Charming after all. There is no white horse to admire, just muddy paw prints left on the carpet from the dog. There is no handcrafted sword for protection, just the rifles on the gun rack, waiting for hunting season. There is no fancy costume, just the same clearance rack items from last season.

The reality check is shocking as we realize things will go wrong in life. The plumbing will go haywire, the in-laws will stir up drama, and your job will stress you out. These situations, and others, are guarantees in our lives. Patience runs short and money runs out. This is marriage! This is what you signed up for when you claimed your vows before God and witnesses.

Couples today believe their lives should be a fairytale, and are thoroughly disappointed when they realize they are wrong. When the surprise wears off, they have a simple choice: stay or leave. Some choose to take the easy way out. They say, "Maybe Prince Charming is waiting for me at the ball" and bail out of their marriage. They think, "Perhaps there is a Princess who actually needs me down at the local bar" and abandon their families. But they are in for an even ruder awakening.

The Other Side of the Fence

It's not that the grass isn't always greener on the other side -- it's NEVER greener. I've learned from watching those close to me that the problems you leave in your first marriage will follow you to your next. Why is this? Because you're still the same person. You don't get to leave your baggage in the form of a suitcase at your old house. It's delivered priority to your next relationship and usually becomes heavier along the way. We look up in surprise in the middle of our new choice and think, "hmm, this wasn't what I had in mind, either."

This type of discontent comes from the heart. A human soul not in fellowship with God will never be happy. One might be able to fool themselves temporarily, pretending that they're satisfied with their new boyfriend, new wife, even their new car or house. But without a living, breathing, soul-deep relationship with God, they will never find true joy and contentment.

The Cure

It is painful to watch those close to you make bad choices -- decisions that you instinctively know will come back to haunt them. We can't change what others do, but we can make positive examples of our own lives and marriages. How? By not leaving. By staying when times get tough. By arguing and having fights but not walking out of the house. By being real and honest and not worrying about the public mask of "yes-we're-doing-great-thanks."

If you and your spouse are having problems, get help. Forget what others might think and take care of your marriage. A healthy relationship with your mate is more important than your reputation in the church or at work. Don't let pride keep you from getting counseling or talking with an older, wiser couple. Learn from your mistakes and those of others and try not to repeat them. But most importantly, spend time developing your own walk with Christ. Without God in your life and in the center of your relationships, you have zero chances of a healthy, happy marriage.

So next time your Prince Charming "ribbits," kiss him anyway. Know that the way you see your spouse is up to you. Put on the rose colored Princess glasses, realizing that no one is perfect, but that it sure makes things easier if we overlook a few faults. You might not always feel like a Princess, and your life might be far from a fairytale, but a thriving relationship with God, our true King, will make our lives, and marriage, much sweeter than any happily ever after you could find in a book.

Ekzos pipe is costly
This morning I went to look for the ekzos service centre. There is one near my place. Went there and ask him whether he can go out and bring the car back to the shop. He said no and asked me instead to drive the car to the shop. He asked me to tie up the ekzos and drive the car. That is it.... with that kind of reply, I will not give him the business. So, I went to search for another ekzos service centre near the place I parked my car.

Managed to find one. Thank God that the shop owner is willing to drive the car to the shop. Went with him to the car. He managed to tie up the ekzos and drove the car to the shop. At the shop he told me that I have to change the front portion of the ekzos. He also advise me to change to a new ekzos pipe as the existing ekzos pipe is quite old. After consulting with my Finance Minister, we agreed to do so. Total cost is RM460.00. Waseh....

Credit card is useful
Had to change the ekzos pipe for my car. It is not only the front portion of the ekzos that needs to be changed but also the back portion of the pipe. In other words, the ekzos service centre guy told me to change to a new ekzos pipe.

"How much?" I asked him.

After calculating and adding everything, he told me, "Only RM450".

"Wah, so expensive kah?" I told him, hinting for a discount. "Give discount a bit lah".

"No lah, that is very cheap already." He insisted.

Knowing that he would not changed his mind, I give up on asking for a discount. I asked him whether he accepts credit card payment. He said yes and even tell me the various credit cards that is accepted at his shop. I thanked God that I brought my credit card with me. It is useful in times of emergency like this. I did not expect that the cost could be so much and did not bring enough cash. When my existing credit card expires, I would look for the best credit card offers and apply for one. It is very handy to have one in the wallet.

Ekzos pipe dropped
On the way back from work last nite, the ekzos pipe dropped. While driving, suddenly the screeching sound was heard from underneath the car. I know that it is the ekzos pipe that had dropped. I didn't know that the ekzos pipe is in such a bad condition. Managed to drive the car to a nearby restaurant parking lot. Called my wife and asked her to fetch me home. Waited and waited for more than half an hour. Thank God that we have another old junk that we can still use in case of emergency like this.

Addicted to the Word
Corinthians 16:15 "Ye know the house of Stephanas...and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints."

Additional Scripture Study: Hebrews 4:1-12

Good addiction that I want you to begin to develop today--an addiction to the Word of God. That may sound odd to you, especially if you don't have much of an interest in the Word right now. But, believe me, it's possible. I've done it myself and I've seen others do it, time and again.

All you have to do is make a decision to give yourself to it. To focus your time and attention on it. The more you give yourself to it, the more your desire for it will grow. Eventually, it will consume your thinking.

Surprised? You shouldn't be. That happens with anything you totally give yourself to. It happens, for example, with people who give themselves to pornography. As they focus their attention on it, the spirit behind it moves in on their consciousness and eventually draws them from mental activity into physical activity. Finally, they come to a place where they can't be satisfied. They can't get enough.

That same principle works on the positive side when you begin to give yourself to God's Word. You can give yourself to it to the point where it totally consumes your mental and physical life. The more of it you get, the more you want. The Spirit behind the Word, the Holy Spirit, will draw you and lead you closer to Jesus than you ever imagined possible.

All of the man of God that is walking in faith and power would have developed that kind of addiction by giving themselves totally to the Word for an extended time. I don't mean just a few minutes here and there either. I'm talking about some serious time.

So determine to do that. Determine to become a Word addict. Once you do, you'll never be willing to live without it again.

Cool Break-up letter. & nice moral !!!
A soldier stationed in Afghanistan recently received a letter from his
girl friend back home. It read as follows:

Dear Ricky,
I can no longer continue our relationship. The distance between us is
just too great. I'm sorry. Please return the picture of me that I sent to
you.
Love, Becky

The soldier, with hurt feelings, asked his fellow soldiers for any snapshots they could spare of their girlfriends, sisters or ex-girlfriends.

In addition to the picture of Becky, Ricky included all the other pictures of the pretty gals he had collected from his buddies. There were 57 photos in that envelope along with this note:

Dear Becky,
I'm so sorry, but I can't quite remember who the hell you are.
Please take your picture from the pile, and send the rest back to me.
Take Care,
Ricky

Moral of the story:

If you can't change your fate, change your attitude.

Gold Watch From My Father
When I was young, my family has not much to spend. We were kind of poor with only my father working to support 10 of us. Though we do not have much on luxurious things we were quite happy with what we have. When I say "luxurious" I mean the normal slightly expensive things that other children would have like ice-creams, eating out, movies, nice shoes, nice set of clothing and things as such. What I have are the hand-down things from my older brothers, especially my clothing. Things get a little better when my older sisters started working. My parents get to have something more valuable from the children like a good watch or gold jewelleries.

When my father passed away, he left a watch. It is not a gold watch. It is only gold in color. As the size of the watch fits my wrist, I use it for a year or so. It was precious to me as it reminds me of my father. After a year or so, the watch stopped clicking and I kept it in my mother's drawer. Unfortunately as time passed by, somehow the watch got lost. I can still remember that watch and my father.

Blessed Wherever You Are
Deuteronomy 28:3 “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country"

You may have heard of people who think that to have better “luck”, they have to move to a new home, work for a certain company or even migrate to another country. The truth is that it is not the place that gets you the blessings, but whether God’s blessings are on you. And for you, child of God, you are already blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 1:20) He has paid for your blessings with His blood. So the blessing is not on the land but on the man! It was in the city of Jerusalem that Jesus was whipped, cursed and spat on. And it was outside the city on Calvary’s hill that He was pierced and crucified. That is why you are blessed in the city as well as outside in the country! In fact, you are blessed regardless of the location. Perhaps you work in a non-Christian company and your boss doesn’t quite like you. In fact, he sometimes mistreats you. But God can still bless you in spite of your boss. You get blessed because you believe God for it. It has nothing to do with your boss or the company.

And when you get blessed with a fast promotion or fat bonus, some friends may ask you to recommend them to your boss. They think that it is your boss or the company that is blessing you, not the Lord. “But Pastor I don’t see the blessings.” If you don’t see the blessings, check what you have been believing and saying. Have you been complaining and blaming everyone and everything around you — your parents, race, gender, environment and government — for your lack of blessings? You need to believe and confess that you are blessed because of Jesus’ finished work on the cross, not because you are of a certain race or work in a certain company.

My friend, it does not matter where you work or live, what colour your skin is or what you do for a living. If God blesses you, you are blessed! And it is all because of Jesus. So say to yourself, “I am blessed wherever I am — blessed in the city, blessed in the country!”

I Failed
My wife sends a chat to me saying that she scored 100% in one of the online quizzes. Wow, I was quite impressed. Later that day, I chanced upon an online quiz about internet knowledge. I was quite confident that I would score high marks for this quiz. But lo and behold, I failed. The questions were quite difficult and tricky too. One has to be a real internet geek to be able to do well for that quiz.

If you think you like to do quizzes, check out Quibblo. There are lots of quizzes that you can find at that website. You can even make your own quizzes if you want to. If you watched a lot of anime, do give yourself a try at the anime quizzes. You may be surprise to know the result.

The Secret Things
Deuteronomy 29:29, "The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law." (NIV)

This verse serves as a gentle reminder that: -

1. Humans are not all-knowing. There are many things that we would not be able to know. There are the secret things that only God knows. To strive or attempt to know these secret things would be futile. By saying this, I am not, in any way, saying that we should not strive to find knowledge. We should continue our research in the various fields of knowledge. It is also written that in the last days, knowledge would increase manifolds.

2. We may not need to know everything before believe God and follow Him. God has given us enough information and knowledge for us to know His love and plans for us and to believe in Him. Of course there are things that we are curious of and we can try to find more information about it. However, these unanswered curiosities should not hinder us from believing and obeying God.

3. We are without excuse not to follow God and obey His laws. This verse by Moses was given at around 1406 B.C. It has been more that 3 thousands years that God has given His laws for the people to follow. We are indeed having no excuse at all to say that God has not told us how to obey Him.

p/s. Note: The words was spoken by Moses when he is going to be called (die) to God. During the 40 years in the desert, Moses spoke to God face to face like a friend. As such, there are many things that God might have revealed to Moses about God's being. Moses had the privilege and honor to know God is such an intimate way. He has seen more of God than any of us would have. Even after speaking to God almost everyday face to face for about 40 years, Moses knows there are so many things that remains a secret. God has chosen to keep it a secret. So let it be.

Yahooooo!!!! I got my 3rd real skill in Mosiang online game. The 3rd real skill is for the Zu Fon skill. It took about 4 days after I reached level 12 before getting its real skill. Which Disneyland?
“Daddy, I want to go to Disney World. Please Daddy, can you bring me to Disney World. Bring me, Mommy and Clarissa and Barnabas too.” Wah, my children want to go to Disney World. Hmmm….a tough decision to make. I would love to bring them if I got the chance and means. I know a trip to Disney World would a trip that my children would never forget. Now, there are many options as to which Disney World Park to go to. There are the Disneyland Tokyo, Disneyland Hong Kong, Disneyland Paris and of course Disneyland in Orlando.

I think the better choice would be to go to Disneyland Orlando. Firstly, everything would be in English and I would be able to read and understand the signs and information. Secondly there are other places of attraction that I can visit in Orlando. I can quickly do a search on hotel orlando at www.orlando.com and be able to find suitable hotels for my family during our visit there. I can even get a good deal when booking online at the website. If you are going to Orlando soon, do check the website. And do not forget to tell me your experiences so that I can be better prepared.

Finding jobs in London
I wonder how it is like to be working in London. Would it be easy to find jobs in London? My sister and brother-in-law who are staying there seem to find it difficult to find a suitable job for themselves. My brother-in-law is a qualified project consultant but most of the opportunities given to him are more on ad-hoc basis. I guess that is the nature of his type of profession.

Maybe they should check out gumtree.com website to find any London jobs that are available. Gumtree.com is an online community website. You can do a search for any available London jobs. Or you can also browse through the information that is of your interest. You can find flats to rent, things for sale, services available or even finding a new friend at the website. Click on the city of your interest and find what you want there.

Trusting the Source
In a world where people seems to be unconcern with sincerity and integrity, it is important to be concerned with authenticity, reliability and truthfulness. Do not be naive to accept any news or information as the truth. We have to be vigilant to sift the false informations from the facts. Yes, it is hard works at times but it is necessary to safeguard our knowledge, beliefs and actions.

That is why Trustsource.org is a helpful source to get the true facts. People who have experienced first-hand the products or visited the places could give their comments or reviews. This is important if you are not sure of the products that you are enticed to buy. Products and services like loans, provillus, cigarettes and many others could be checked at trustsource.org. You too should give your comments and reviews on the product that you have tried or used. Spread your knowledge to benefit others.

Discharge note for Mother
Send mother to the hospital on Thursday morning. Reached there at about 10.45am and lo and behold there are already about 80 over patients waiting to be examined by the doctors. Managed to get a number. Told mom to wait for her number to be called.

I then went to find a motorcycle mechanic to fix my punctured motorbike tyre. Went to two shops but they are unwilling to send someone out to fix the motorbike. Thank God that the 3rd shop owner is willing to go. Of course there are additional charges but I am willing to pay for it. If not I would have to push the motorbike for about 1.5km to the mechanic shop.

After the motorbike was fixed, I went back to the hospital to find mother. To my surprise she was still waiting for her number to be called. There are about 20 more patients before her number. So we waited until her number is called. The doctor told us that the blood result was good. All the possible viruses, bacterias or chemicals that could cause the liver infection was gone. Then the doctor gave mother the discharge note. Mother is now certified healthy.

Don't bug me please
It is very irritating when you are bugged by someone or something. I really hates people who simply wants to bug other people. They are very inconsiderate and insensitive. Thank God that I have not come across many of this kind in my life. However, there is another kind of bug that always seems to appear in my life, or should I say, in my bedroom. It is the bed bug.

The fact is you will never be able to have a 100% free of bed bugs in your bedroom. It is there all the time. If you consistently and regularly clean your bed sheets and pillow casings, the number of bed bugs will be minimized that it would not be a cause of irritation to you. Should you failed to clean it, then the bed bugs will bug you. Check out the bedbugsguide.com for more information on bed bugs and how you can get rid of them.

God is good
Ride the motorbike to work last night. Nothing unusual about the trip to work. At the shop everything is as usual. Andy, the new staff is manning the station. He is still getting to know the server system for the internet shop. I guess there are many things that I has yet to teach him but he should be fine.

Waited until he closed the shop. Then as I wanted to ride my bike home, I felt that there is something wrong with the motorbike. Sure enough, the back tyre punctured. Wanted to call my wife to come and fetch me home. Thank God that Andy drove to work that night. The past nights he rode his motorbike to work. When asked why he drove on that night, he said that somehow he felt that he needs to drive the car to work. Praise God for His providence. Andy drove me home.

Places to visit in France - part 1
The thing that comes to my mind when people mentioned about France is the legendary “The Three Musketeers”. The devotion, loyalty, bravery, and skills of the Musketeers in protecting the king of France make them an inspiration to all. And if ever you visit France, make sure that your tour includes a visit to The Fontainebleau Castle, which is the largest of the French Royal Castles. You will feel as though you are back in time centuries ago.

I am sure the thought of staying a night at the castle will cross your mind but that privilege is not available yet. For a place to stay, you can choose from any of the Hotels in Paris. In France the Paris Hotels offer good and affordable room price that you can choose according to your budget or preferences. The French would say it in their language and accent “Hôtels en Paris”. It is said that French is a beautiful language, associated with love and romance. It is good to learn at least a few of the French words or you might have a problem in communication with the locals.

Another place to visit in France that is worth mentioning here are the beautiful gardens. The Jardin des Plantes is the Ancient Royal Garden which contains the garden itself, the Museum of Natural History and the Menagerie. And if you are there in June, do not forget to go to Parc et Jardins de Bagatelle, a park that is known for its rose garden and the international rose contest every year in June. You will be surprised to discover its theme gardens, the iris garden, the flowered kitchen garden, the garden of perennials.

Will write more about France in other posts.

Made another RM7
Another customer wanted to buy MS 1 million gold. Sold to him for RM7.00. Looks like more and more of the players prefer to choose the easy way. Instead of accumulating the MS by killing the mobs (which is slow), they prefer to just buy the MS money with cash. Good for me, having extra income and earning from playing online game.

But recently, I am not in the mood to play MS. Maybe because of other things that I need to give attention to.

New Business Registered
Went to the Registrar of Companies to register the new business name. After much thought about the new business and the target customers, I decided to expand the name 'Starhawk" to include the bakery business. I managed to register Starhawk Bakery with the ROC. Was contemplating on the name Starhawk Bakery and Starhawk Bakery House but in the end I decided on using just the name Starhawk Bakery.

My future business partner will be making breads and buns to cater to the taste of the Middle East students. It will be the Lebanonese type of bakery. Frankly speaking, I know no head nor tail about bakery, just know how to eat it when I am hungry. I am not a food expert and I do not think that I have the ability to discern the taste in any food except the basic tastes.

Well, the next step would be to open a joint current account.

Just for fun
It is a joy to have a lot of siblings. And when everyone is married and has their own children, it is definitely a cheerful and noisy gathering when all of them come together. That is what happened every time all my brothers and sisters come back together once a year. During the last count, there were 48 of us (including children) together at one house celebrating the CNY festival. For those who are quiet and loves to be alone, this is not the place to be.

And as usual, the adults will try and plan some games for everyone especially for the children. It is quite easy to plan for the children as they would want to play any game. They are not so choosy and will join in for the fun of it. It is different for the adults. The adults are a bit choosy. Most of the time the adults would not join the children in the children’s games except those who are in charge of the children games. The adults prefer to chat among themselves.

During the night time, it is either watching a movie on the big screen or playing poker. It is fun to see them playing poker especially when someone wins big. I guess some of my siblings would play Mac Poker online when they are back to their own homes. There are many sites of online games like Pacific Poker, Fulltilt Poker and PokerStars that they can sign up and play.

Do I play poker? Well, only if it does not cost me any money. I do play poker for fun.

Daddy, Ride Carefully!
I prefer to go to work using my bike rather than driving the car. Firstly, it saves time as I can reach my shop faster. I do not have to wait long at the traffic lights or slowly follow the snail-moving lorries. Secondly, it is cheaper to ride a motorbike than driving the car.

One night before going to work, my daughter waved goodbye to me. She told me, "Daddy, ride carefully okay. Don't fall down." Wah... so touching. My own daughter telling me to be careful. Maybe she does not want to see me met with an accident again. Hehehe... with "commands" like that from my daughter... I sure ride carefully.
